I craft a lot - so the chance to try these Pintor Markers was welcome - I currently use Posca pens/markers so this means at least I have a reference point for any comparison. There is almost no information on uses on the packaging - so a trip to the product site gave more info. I started by painting on a glass jar (although this is one of the least compatible mediums) thinking that I'd put it in the oven for 50 mins when I'd finished (recommended) it's suggested that to get the brightest colour results you should go over the image a second time (once dry) I tried this but the second application just removed ormoved the first layer - so then I tried the 50 mins in the oven - thinking this would fix the 1st layer and allow another layer of painting - oh no it didn't (and that's 50 mins of electricity I won't get back) the last recommended step (for glass) was to varnish the item but couldn't you use any markers on Glass then varnish over them? - in fairness I tried the Posca pens on the same piece of Glass and they were no different and the colour and coverage were just about the same. I'd done one side of a canvas Tote Bag and used the Poscas so I decided to make it double-sided and use the Pintor Markers for the remaining side ('the compatibility level is high for this medium Obi Wan') Again applying the colour a second time made them vibrant; almost to the point of Luminosity - I was impressed - and even more so when I repainted one of my Garden Gnomes (took me a while to catch him - but once he settled down....) the paint went on very quickly, with good coverage and a very professional matt/biscuit type finish (I still think I'll apply a sealant or varnish though). In conclusion I'd say the more compatible the medium - the better the result and Pintor is very like Posca and the pricing is almost the same. Much of a muchness

I found these Pilot Pintor Medium Line Bullet Paint Marker Pens quite impressive which are very useful for the home, office, school and college. They are basically a water based marker pen that come in a variety of colours and can be used for applying a paint like effect on many different services.Because these pens are water proof they are actually washable on certain surfaces, such as glass, tiles, metals, white boards and most other shiny surfaces. However if they are used on more porous materials such as fabric, wood, carpet, cardboard, canvas etc. they actually work as permanent markers. The nib width of these pens is around 4.5mm which gives a medium line width of 1.4mm.This wallet of six pens contains the colours red, yellow, green, blue, white and black. They also come in other various colour combinations. We as a family have had a fair bit of fun using these markers, my sixteen year old son has used them to customise his trainers (very artistically I might add) and my thirteen year old daughter who is also good at art, customised her plain black school backpack, again this looked really good.So all in all, I have no problem in recommending these marker pens even though they are a bit pricey.

I ordered these with the intention of using them for rock-painting to be part of the current craze, and they're doing the job really well! You get six pens in a handy wallet. All the pens are individually sealed - presumably to keep the paint from drying out? They are easy to unwrap though. The instructions recommend shaking them twenty times then pressing the nib down 3-4 times, but I shook each one around thirty times and still had to press the nib down around twenty times before the paint fully flowed. However that still takes less than a minute! Once the paint is flowing, the pens work brilliantly. You can get a thin enough line to write clearly in joined-up writing, but you can also easily colour in large areas. The colours are bright and vibrant and showed up well on the different materials I tried, from cardboard to porous garden stones. I did find that some of the colours were not quite as expected - the red for example is very pink rather than the colour it shows on the pen lid - but overall I'm really pleased with performance and outcome.

So once done on one thing you will end up looking for other uses for them. I did. More like marker pens of old but more vibrant and so useful from crafting to marking out boxes. At least using these means anything you write on cardboard boxes for the loft get seen and easy to read. There didn’t appear to be any bleed on these. My next use was for labeling boxes plastic ones for school lunch snacks (out sticky label on then could mark what was in box but also be a bit creative and doodle a little too. These are good but four stars as it did say about pressing for twenty times before first use but it was more like double for mine. So yes if you have OA in hands could be best to get someone else to do the hard part first. Not used any varnish with them as of yet but the cup idea for special events looks fun and think could be a good gift idea for crafters as a secret Santa. Son now taken them for decorating his school folders so will be interesting to see what he thinks about them too.

I am very happy with these pens, and they come in an excellent range of colours. They are each sealed in a plastic sheath. To activate a pen you need to shake it twenty times - there appears to be a ball bearing in the pen to facilitate the mixing of the liquid inside. You then have to depress the nib a couple of times before the colour comes through; it is plain white when you first remove the lid, and then colour away to your hearts content. The felt nibs are a decent thickness too; if you want to draw a fine line there may be a problem, but for me it is perfect for what I have in mind. I have used it for writing on my grandson’s bike helmet and for covering up a mark on a pair of trainers. So far nothing has faded or smudged. There are a myriad of projects in the pipeline, including t-shirt design and enhancing a duvet. At the current price of £13 they are well worth the money.

When I ordered these, I found out my wife had also ordered some Posca pens, which apparently are the go to paint pen in this world. She had to wait a couple of extra weeks for hers to be delivered, but then let our daughters loose on some very important rock painting. No, I have no idea but the girls loved it.A few hours later, and a table covered in colourful rocks, I can say these were a hit. The pens worked just as well as the Posca ones, and with thick tips were perfect for colouring the larger areas / backgrounds. The colours included in this pack are bold and come out brightly on stone. I didn't know beforehand that I needed superhero minion decorated rocks in my life, but now I know it to be true. These pens are great, go buy them.

These pens are so much fun. My grandson loves to make his own gifts and I always get a personalised present for my Birthday or Xmas, he does the same for his Mom and Dad. These are perfect for him. He has already decorated a tee shirt for his holidays and wants a pair of trainers so that he can decorate them to match. He decorated a plaque for his Mom and is already planning his next job. ( he is 7yrs old ) The colours are vibrant and you need to give them a good shake before using them and apply a bit of pressure for the ink to come through. Being pens you can decorate precisely. These are a good idea to keep the kids busy with the Summer holidays coming up especially if we get some rain andcannot go out.

There are brief instructions on the back of the pack; shake before use and prime the tip. The colours are bold and – if you do shake and prime – no ink bleed. You can overlay the colours to get a variety of tints. The tips seem to be more durable than on other markers I’ve used and that’s important because, on other markers, the tips often break up and become ragged before the ink runs out. Note that the tip gives a 1.4mm (medium) line which is good for general use, but you may need other tip sizes as well if you do a lot of craft work, just as a painter needs a set of different-sized brushes. You get a slightly broader line if you press down. They are expensive but you get the quality you payfor.

Terrific - for a wide range of uses as they seem to work on any material. Also as they are water-based they will mix - just like water-colour paint - brilliant. So far they have been "confiscated" by Benjamin [5] for his art project (which to be fair looks more like an explosion in a paint factory... but that's what they said about Cy Twombly.... so who am I to quibble)These will give hours of artistic pleasure - and will no doubt be combined with some of Benjamin's other art forms such as Collage and (one of his favourites) drawing on the furniture ... but with any luck (and speed) this should be washable!Great idea, well presented, good quality and the tip is tough and durable

Very impressed with these paint pens, they do actually paint on any surface. Even though the paint is water-based (and thus will wash off), when it's dried it is actually quite water resistant. I used the pens to write my house number on my bins and they worked really well, they've not come off in the rain and they do stand out. I have also decorated my kettlebell so that it's not mistaken for one of the gym's weights when I go there. My kids will enjoy decorating their bikes and scooters this weekend, the start of the holidays, the pens are really easy to use.Seriously impressed. Can decorate virtually anything, these markers are brilliant.

My skill with other types of marker pen is not good. These however function like applying paint Used singly the give a beautiful flat solid block of bold colour. Being opaque you can layer to correct mistakes. Being water soluble you can use brush and water to fade the paint and you can blend colours together. They are also good for working with stencils.I have swatched them on various surfaces, and they always seem to work well. They are permanent when used on porous materials. Otherwise you will need to use a varnish. Because, of my low skill level I am mainly going to use them for notices and decorating cardboard buildings for our cat.

If you have an allergy to paintbrushes, and let's face it who doesn't, then these paint pens will revolutionise your life.At first I painted a cow in the local farmer's field. I gave her a lovely bright red moustache. I'm not sure the farmer was as happy with the results as I was. Then I painted make-up onto myself. I looked like the least attractive drag queen you have ever seen. This was fortunate because it was exactly the look I was going for. I've never received so many compliments. If you like painting, but you want your paint inside a pen, you can't go far wrong with these. They're a bit weird but a bit cool too.

This pack comes with white, red, yellow, blue, green and black. It suggests shaking 20 times then pressing the nib 3-4 to get the ink flowing, it took longer than that to get it flowing but once the ink came in they worked very well. The colours are nice and bold and went on evenly. I tried them on glass, wood, plastic and paper and the result was fairly consistent. Where these lost a point for me was the wood where it bled slightly although not as much as other brands I've used. The medium nib is nicely shaped and I could write easily and legibly with these pens when decorating.
