This set of four BIC highlighters comes in the most popular colours (yellow, blue, pink and green) but are a softer shade than other sets and that isn't necessarily a great thing. The blue is a nice sky blue for instance and the yellow is lemon. This means they don't stand out as much as you might wish. However you can press a little firmer and you will get a stronger colour. I would say that even using a light touch you can still see the colour on the other side of the page or piece of paper so be aware of that. There are a couple of significant advantages and disadvantages of this set compared to other highlighters. If you are used to the chunky type, you will find these much more comfortable to hold, they are very ergonomic, which is great if you are using them for some time - you won't find your hand contorting awkwardly and if you are highlighting small sections at a time these pens are great for that. However if you need to highlight a large amount of text quickly then these aren't quite as reliable as the chunkier ones which glide a lot quicker over the page. These BIC highlighters don't smudge and I have noticed that books I have highlighted haven't faded over time as other highlighters can do. The most useful feature is the double nib effect; you can highlight thick and thin with the same pen allowing for smaller details as well as broad sweeps. I have found this to be particularly useful and so I would recommend these pens but would suggest you add them to your collection and use appropriately rather than rely on them entirely.

These highlighters look nice in the packet and are more comfortable to use than many highlighters. This is because they are traditional pen shaped and a soft comfort grip. The colours are good and are pastel rather than fluorescent like most highlighters. I found the blue was really too dense for highlighting as it obscured the text too much, but the others are good. The nibs are a traditional highlighter chisel shape, but are smaller than a lot of highlighters. This is a bonus if you are highlighting small text. They will, apparently, not dry out even with the lid off for 24 hours. I'm not going to put this to the test because it would risk ruining them for no reason. However,I do know that they won't dry out after a couple of hours because my grandson left the lid off one of the pens by accident.Overall, these are nice pens but the colour is a bit dense for highlighting so they are possibly more suitable for drawing or colouring in - especially the blue and green. I think they are quite pricey for highlighter pens. I won't be using them, but my grandchildren love them. Kids seem to have a thing about highlighting.

Bic is a well-respected supplier of stationary items and this set of ‘highlighter’ pens is a good example of the firm’s high quality. The five pens arrive in a plastic wallet with one each yellow, pink, orange, green and blue. All pens produce pale yet vivid colours that draw attention immediately but are also transparently light enough for viewing through to print or other markings. Pens are perfect on plain paper, card, book pages, newspapers etc. and even glossy paper – though not suitable for plastic surfaces – which is not a problem for me.The pens are 14cm long including protective cap, and have an easy to hold rubbery feel round barrel. Personally I prefer this traditional pen shape, with pocket clip, rather than the more usual short square type of highlighter. Also rather than a splayed felt tip these Bic pens have bevelled tips that can produce coloured strips as 1mm or 4mm in a single stroke. And I like the price – so award a full 5-star rating.

Three quid? Absolute bargain. For a start, these aren't some cheap off-brand highlighters. They are made by Bic, which is arguably the world's most well-known brand when it comes to ballpoint pens. This shows as the quality of the ink is top notch, No washed-out colours, just five pens that provide great coverage and in five different colours. What I used to hate was the odd cigarette lighter sized body that highlighter pens came with. Unpleasant to hold, especially if rotating the chisel tips to vary the thickness of the highlighting. Bic has taken a different path and engineered the body of the pen to be comfortable in use and more like a regular pen shape.Excellent product at a great price,as well as coming in a useful clear plastic pack that can be handy to keep the pens together. Just make sure you hide them from colleagues or family members who use the 'old' type highlighters as they will definitely be tempted to borrow them and not return them!

I use highlighters principally for reviewing printed documents. I really like these ones, for the following reasons:- slimline, "pen like" shape means I can keep one clipped in my jacket pocket, or in the pen holders in my backpack- the rubber around the end of the barrel helps to keep a firm grip- the end is relatively small, so you have a choice of marking in 1.6mm or 3.4mm width. The former is great for underlining, and the latter for highlighting a single word or short phrase.- nice choice of colours, so I can use green to highlight things I like, and red for things I don't!These pens would not be suitable for use in highlighting a large area (it would take forever to colour in)nor for use in a presenting situation (e.g., on a flip chart), where a thicker marker would be needed. But for my use, they are perfect

These are very good highlighters. The colours are a little softer than my old highlighters but I’m not sure I’d really call them ‘pastel’. Not that it really matters. See photo. The blue, especially, is a bit too dark for highlighting text though. They have excellent rubber grips and you don’t need to fret about replacing the caps immediately after use – excellent. The nibs are quite narrow, at 3mm or perhaps a little over, which makes them useful for small text. The ink bleeds through plain A4 printer paper very slightly, despite the ‘no-bleed’ claim, but they’re certainly no worse than others I own. These are pricier than some highlighters but, if the colours appeal, are worth the money, although I do object to the unnecessary blister packaging.

How do you write a review for a box of highlighters? Hmmm....I like the 'pen-like' thickness of these Bics, and the rubber grip is good and comfortable. There were ACTUALLY 12 highlighters! (I'm really trying to sound enthused here...) The brightness is great against the contrasting white of the paper, and you can make fairly precise highlights if you have small print. (I usually print 4 pages of a PDF per printed page to save paper, trees, and money. Them be some tiny lines of print.)As always with Amazon Prime, wicked quick next day delivery. You could say, the delivery was the 'highlight' of my day. (And I'm done. We've reached the bottom of the pun barrel. Tip your waitress.)

Bic brand is one of my favourite brands and is well recognized brand throughout the world. I have used Bic highlighters before but they used to be vibrant colours ones. This pack is pastel colours and they are very fine quality product.Highlighters are made like pen which helps as normally I get those rectangular pieces and find them bit awkward and fiddly to handle. These have very soft grip and pen shape is perfect. Colours are just as vibrant as other hence I don't know why they are called Pastel shades?.Overall 5 stars for very good grip and quality highlights. I am happy to endorse these to anyone looking for good quality highlights.

I like that these are normal pen sized and not facts and squat like the highlighters that are commonplace. The reason being that these how much easier to remove from a pen pot then the little spots ones that always seem to be underneath the rim and invisible from view. There are five great colours in this. It's a pretty decent tips as well just about the right size for marking text. Colour coverage is good. They come see-through plastic wallet that makes it easy to find your colour quickly.I also used a the Millie Marotta colouring books, but I found the tips a bit too thick for the fine lines in that brand of colouring book.

I love highlighters and these are a nice addition to my collection. They are smaller than standard 'chunky' highlighters which means you can be a bit more precise when using them and the rubber grip makes them easy to hold. The chisel tip means that you can use them highlight a section of text with the flat end or use the pointed end for more accuracy. They perform well showing up nice and bright on paper without any smudging. You get five of the standard neon colours, which should be enough for any highlighter needs, although I was slightly disappointed that my favourite highlighter colour of purple wasn't included!

Highlighter pens are always handy to have around, especially if you are learning or need to organise paperwork. I have mainly used the Stabilo Boss brand for personal use (work had cheaper clones that were not as good with washed out colours and short life). This is more out of habit than anything as they are reliable. However, I am very impressed with these pens. They provide clear, vivid colour and are much more comfortable to hold. They are also cheaper than Stabilo highlighters. I can't yet comment on how long they last as I need to do a review before they run out but I am pleased with their performance so far.

BIC Briteliner Grip Highlighter - Assorted (Pack of 5)I switched to these slimline highlighters a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. Because I only use highlighters to underline or highlight individual words or short phrases, there's no need for me to use the bigger highlighters with wider tips (if I decide I want to highlight an entire paragraph or section, I simply draw a highlighter line down the outer edge). These little highlighters are the perfect size and last for ages. At the current selling price, they represent excellent value. For sale at the time of writing this review at £3.

Good value highlighters from BIC. The yellow is extremely fluorescent, where the green is actually rather lime in hue. The pink is not especially bright, a more serious pink than day-glo and the red and blue are as expected. The tips can be angled to produce either thick or thin lines for highlighting.Soft rubber like grips mean these are very comfortable to use. The pen tops have long clips so they do not get easily dislodged from pockets. You can keep them in the plastic for convenience.Considering there are five pens in this pack, it certainly represents good value for money.

Both my daughters love drawing, but these are far too good to waste on my youngest, as she would just wreck them. So these went straight to my eldest who is nine, and a bit more careful with her stuff. She really liked these highlighters, as they weren’t big and bulky like normal highlighters. They come in four colours green, pink, yellow and sky blue. The bibs are not overly thin, so you can write with them, colour in or highlight certain things in books.Overall I would recommend these, as they are a quality product that will last unlike other certain cheaper products.

These highlighters from Bic are of excellent quality. You get 5 colours in the pack: yellow, orange, green, blue, pink. The pink and blue are slightly more pastel in colour than the other 3 which are bolder. The round, pen-like design and rubberised grip makes them more like good pens than highlighters. Gone are the bulky rectangular highlighters that were a nightmare to hold, replaced instead by these sleek highlighting pens. The essential tapered tip remains and the cap secures firmly to stop them drying out. An excellent design change that improves a simple product.
