Bought to replace an Osram Dulux S 11W/840 in an old (1990s?) desk lamp. Same colour temperature, lumen output (900) and power rating as the Osram and it looks almost identical. I would have liked to buy an LED bulb instead, but the PL equivalents look awful (mainly stubby in shape with ugly SMDs) and still cost an arm and a leg with an energy saving of perhaps 2W, so not worth it. Probably by the time this new CFL blows in another 10 years there will be better LEDs around. At under £3 this is much cheaper than I can buy locally. The box it came in has mysterious symbols on it (see photo) which may mean that it's not suitable for use with high frequency ballast.

I bought this light to replace one that finally died on my AEG cooker hood. Light is a perfect match to the old one, was easy to fit and works perfectly. Before looking into things I fully expected to be charged £10-15 for this so the price was a very nice surprise. Altogether very hard to fault this purchase - recommended.I purchased from dependable trading - separate to the review of the item, although it was actually in perfect working order, packaging was fairly poor with only part of the item padded and the box falling to pieces in places.

Ordered 2 of these, used in 20yr old outdoor Philips wall lights, that's on from dusk till dawn 24/7Arrived promptly in their individual boxes in a Jiffy bag which the Postman wouldn't put through the letter box due to it's overall size.As you would expect from a reputable brand like Philips these are a well made PL-S lamp.11watts as stated and cool white output. As an average, due to the amount of burn time these lamps get I usually change every 2 years to maintain lux output. At this price, I think I might start replacing them every year.

This bulb is the mainstay of my faithful 20 year old desklight which has performed perfectly for all that time. When it spluttered a few times and gave up the ghost, I was certain that I wouldn't find another bulb like it.However, a quick trawl of Amazon found this deal, which gave me two bulbs for the price of one. Which, if the new neons perform as well as their predecessor did, means that my desk will be illuminated for the next 40 years.Very happy buyer, both arrived within two working days of ordering. Hope this helped.

This somewhat unconventional lightbulb is the only one that fits my desk lamp. I doubt if you'll find one on your average High Streeet. The original one, that came with the desk lamp, worked perfectly for years and eventually packed up. I was somewhat concerned about tracking down a replacement. Armed with the (since altered) serial number, over to amazon. Hey presto, there they were. The chosen supplier came up with the goods, at a sensible price. Delivery was quickish so my work suffered only for a very short time. Job done.

This is the PL-S 2P (11W / 827 type). It is fine, fitting and working well. For anyone wrestling with the part numbers and size descriptions of these types of tubes, the overall length of this one is 234mm, the base is 32mm at widest, the tube is 27mm at widest (across the pair of tubes), it has a G23 base (which you can look up to find more details) and the "27" in the 827 part number indicates its colour temperature as 2700 degrees K, so it is slightly warmer than the 830 and 840 types.

Exactly as described, great delivery and packaging, I have fitted this in my cooker hood/extractor unit and am very happy with the result, this has already illuminated a lovely roast chicken Sunday lunch, and was particularly good at lighting a number of bacon sandwiches, a chilli with rice lasagne, steak pie, Macaroni and Cheese, fried Chicken, chicken enchiladas, pulled pork, pancakes, chocolate cake, shepherd’s pie, cottage pie, roast cod, fried sea bas etc.

I bought a new desklamp six years ago and was still using the original lightbulb until a few weeks ago. When it failed I trawled the local shops and several internet suppliers.Prices were generally high at the former and postage prices were off-putting at the latter. Then I discovered that Amazon offered the item at 45% the price of local suppliers, so I ordered two and paid a modest delivery charge.Result: a BOGOF result, leaving a satisfied customer...

Delivery by post took a day longer than the maximum time quoted but I guess that's COVID 19 related so all fine. Its the right size and shape as per the listing. The light output is a slightly different shade to my old one but that can happen with fluorescent tubes. So what can I say? it fits, it works.I can't speak for longevity but the one it replaced lasted 19 years and as I'm 67, I may not be able report back on this aspect of the quality.Thanks.

I have had four of these running for 14 hours per day for about three years, or around 14,000 hours. This is near the top end of the 6,000-15,000 hours lifetime quoted by a Wikipeddia article on CFLs. The first died three weeks ago, so I ordered these as replacements, and hope they perform equally well. They are in a picturelight fitting with integral ballast, start smoothly and have good warm white colour.

I have purchased this bulb for my desk lamp which has a particular 2 pin G23 7watt attachment which can only be purchased in specialist outlets. There are several shades, but the 'very warm' white shade is soft and pleasant. My last bulb that came with the lamp lasted almost 4 years and I hope that this does the same.

This bulb is the longer-style G23 fluorescent; about 24cm long.It is 11W, which is about a 50W tungsten bulb and about the brightest these sort of bulbs come in.It has a 4000K colour temperature, which is a neutral white somewhere between daylight and tungsten/halogen.It turns on near instantly and works well.

The item arrived earlier than promised. It was exactly as advertised and well packed for such a flimsy object. I had experienced difficulty tracking this lamp down. Thank God for AMAZON. Well done to supplier, would recommend you to anyone. Many Thanks for grtat service.

Perfectly fitted a desk lamp that I bought many years ago. I thought I would have to chuck the lamp as I could not find a replacement bulb on the High Street. I use the lamp for crafting and it is perfect for the purpose. I am very pleased to have found this replacement.

This replaced the previous lamp which had lasted for many years. The packaging was flimsy, but it was undamaged so must have been ok. I paid £2.60 for this but in the few days it took to arrive the price increased to £3.09. Large increase but still a good price.
