I bought both these and the Yimidear gymnastics rings, which retail for about £46 on Amazon, so as you're in the market for a set and those two are on your radar, I'll compare them.First, I'll start with the straps.* Good quality stitching on the seams. Not as intricate when compared with the Yimidear (the stitches are smaller, more of them and clearly better construction), but still very robust.*They have a very nice, easy to use additional velcro strap for storing the straps when they're tidied away. It's not permanently affixed though, which is good because the permanently attached variety (the Yimidear ones) can be a bit fiddly when you're winding up the straps; they get in the way/keep sticking to everything. You might lose these though, if you're not careful.*The buckle is very secure, heavy duty and does not slip at all when holding the strap (I'm 86kg and was very confident at putting my whole weight on these).*There are no markings for length on the strap. I can't knock a star off for that as they pictured without the markings, so I got what I expected.*I think the end that you feed into the buckle could become frayed over time. It is only glued closed and I would have preferred a little fabric covering the end, or have it doubled back on itself and glued. Now the wooden rings.* Very smooth and actually smoother than the Yimidear ones, so that's why I sent those back (they gave me a splinter). They are solid and feel good in the hands. In conclusion, I bought two pairs of rings to see what the difference was as I'm new to ring work. I couldn't see a £10 difference in quality between the two and the Pellor rings were actually better than the Yimidear more expensive type. The stitching wasn't as great, but it was still clearly very strong and the same material. The Pellor presentation was much nicer too; a little Pellor brand mark on the ring and came in a nice box. The Yimidear just came in a nondescript brown box and a plastic bag. I know they are only rings and the box went straight in the bin, but £46 is a lot of money for me, so I want to feel like I've spent it well. If I give up on rings as they aren't for me, I'll have a much easier time selling the Pellor ones as they have a nice box and are branded. Yes, that's superficial, but that's what humans are!Overall, these are a good product and you get pretty much what is advertised. I recommend these over the more expensive variety.

The past year I have begun to train at a gym which has a dedicated Callisthenics rig, I recently decided it was time to get a bit more body weight training in at home. At my gym (Iron Fit at T13 in Belfast) there are numerous sets of rings, both wooden and plastic. I would tend to practice on the plastic rings more often as there are rubber grips wrapped around them. However, I decided that the wooden rings just look better and may also help with improving my grip. I would be just as happy with a set of plastics however.I hang these from the wooden truss in my garage, takes a minute to set up. The straps are real easy to adjust and I haven't had a problem yet, they have enough length to suit anyone's needs and I would recommend holding onto the little strips of Velcro they come packaged with as they are useful for tying up the excess strap so its not distracting you whilst practising your movements.Obviously you can remove these from home and take them with you to the gym or on trips, check out local parks or beaches for pull up bars, there's always going to be something you can tie them onto! Probably the best fitness investment I've made, the variety of exercises, gymnastic movements you can perform on rings and the use you will get from them is limitless. Currently, I mostly practice pull-ups, Aussie ring pulls, dips, upside down pulls (rockets) and muscle ups and the variety that can be added to any of these movements is enough to keep my fit and happy for now.

I love my Pellor rings which permanently hang in the tree unless it’s too wet. There are so many exercises and strength training/gymnastics you can do with them set at different heights. Can do full leg/upper body and gym work on them and it’s both challenging and fun. For those less obsessed by fitness you can still use them like TRX but better for assisted work. It’s taken me quite a while to get my L sit but it’s great to see improvement daily. I’m recovering from multi ligament injury from a snowboarder crashing into both legs and have had 4 ops but found these great for doing upper body whilst unable to do much with legs but am now using them for leg strengthening too. I have these,my climber and polypro hula hoop and dance workouts and love combining them with yoga and for sports fitness/rehab You can build good lean muscle with them and gain strong core as they are ideal as the movement forces the muscles to work harder to stabilise. Such a versatile product - a bargain for what you get and I even take them on holiday as they are so easy to pack. I’ve bought most equipment over the last few years or rehab and these get used daily! Just be careful to install right way round and check online for masses of inspiring videos for all levels of fitness. Enjoy!!

I had never used rings before and bought these after reading many reviews. The quality is great and the straps are very secure. I have used free weights for many years but these change the game completely. If you think you're strong these will make you think again. After a few weeks you will be stronger and your muscles have no choice but to grow to adapt. You can have the hardest upper body workout compared to weights. I use a spirit level through the rings to level them as the straps are not marked for adjusting, a bit annoying but at least I know they are level this way. Lots of training videos on YouTube. I can't recommend these enough. Only for the serious trainers though.

Great product!I'm glad I went with the wooden ones over the plastic ones, the grip is great and these have really provided me with hours of fun and hard work. I have always been very interested in the rings and wanted to learn them. I currently have them set-up hanging from my chin up bar and this works great. These are great and if you have any interest in gymnastics or bodyweight exercise then these are a great choice. They can also add to a weights based workout and give you full range of motion. Remember when training with these to take your time and not rush into anything too complicated or too advanced and form is everything.

Quality construction, easily set up and easy to use. No instructions included and would have been found beneficial, but upon inspection easy to see. I put up/take down these everytime I use them and it is convenient enough for this purpose. Good feel to the wood as opposed to plastic ones I have tried in the gym.I use these for bodyweight rows and push ups and am intent on doing fallouts with them. I am 14st5 and feel secure using them. Great product, good price.

Comfortable to use and appear of good quality. The clips can be a bit fiddly to adjust, and as other reviews mention, very important to get the straps running the correct way through the clips or they would be unsafe to use. There are some videos on Youtube showing the correct set up for similar rings, or take a look at how straps for eg luggage loads on cars are set up.

Bought these years ago, still going strong. No problems with them, except for the time I tried repeatedly in vain to put them around a tree and the teeth of the metal clasp stuck into the big branch like a grappling hook and I couldn't get it loose and I got so mad I ragequit and went home for an hour before coming back to get them. That was my fault, though.

I bought these rings after comparing a few brands and I'm glad I decided for them.First of all, don't go for metal or plastic rings when you can have these wooden rings on a budget! They are very comfortable on hands and wrists giving you a nice grip. The strap has good quality too, I would have liked a better clasp, but this one's ok and works perfectly.

Got these on sale and they are excellent quality. The wood rings are from a single piece and hence are very smooth and robust. the straps are sturdy and the buckles have been holding my 95Kg frame just fine for over a month now with no issue. The other reviews must have assembled them through the wrong way to make them fail. Excellent product.

Nice feel to the wooden rings, easy to assemble and setup (following a you tube video). Overall great quality and very happy with them. I understand some rings have straps with markings on them that allow to easily set both rings at the same height. That would be a nice addition, however overall great product at good price.

The rings are good quality and nice to grip. The straps are tough and adjustable. Looking at the prices of other wooden rings, these were good value for money for a top product and a great workout. I forgot how hard playing around on rings can be. Loads of different ways to work out - just need to use your imagination.

These took a week or so to arrive but are a great pair of rings - very good quality, very good value and comfortable to use. These are effective for training the upper body and core and will challenge me for years to come. The straps are strong and easy to set up. I'm enjoying using these (Altjough already aching!)

The chap that snapped the levers off in another review must have had the tension of the straps running over the levers ie: the wrong way!In my opinion rings are king even beating the pull up bar with more options lik:e dips, rows, better hand positioning comfort etc.these pellor are the best Ive used.

23.9.2015

Handles could be smoother but still a great product overall.Again like other people said there could be markings on the straps but thats not an issue.Good product, very versatile for exercises. I can now do a full body workout in 49 minutes in my house. Saves me so much time during my day too.
