I’ve used this resin a couple times, mistakes happen which I have learned, it is never the resins fault. To take on these types of projects make sure to have all the equipment for mixing, using dyes, pipettes, measuring cups with spouts and mixing sticks or plastic spoons, don’t use your best kitchenware, I know it sounds obvious, do your research.I’m currently making gems, parts for figures and when this stuff sets, expect it to be strong and nearly impossible to scratch or dent, if it is somewhat gummy after a day or two, it is likely you didn’t mix or set the ratios correctly and on a last note don’t make the mistake using it after 6 months of opening, plan what you are doing and make sure to use it,I have done this and it becomes less effective and simply won’t harden.<br>I have no further info on polishing as i’m still experimenting in this area, from what i’ve learned so far you can use a gloss varnish, Americana is the best option and can give it a nice finish, but this should not replace the proper way to polish your resin, but the option can have great results and I recommend trying it!If you have read through this boring text please have fun and experiment, thank you :)***** 5 stars great product! In my photo pay attention to the blue Orbs on his head and shoulders, this is what a good cure looks like with Americana gloss varnish, feel proud if you know what this monster is and from :)Read full review...

This is the only resin I've used so far, so bear that in mind with this review.I use this resin to cast pendants and charms from silicone moulds. I've never had a problem with it not curing. I mix it in medicine measuring cups, using a red sharpie to mark out my fill lines more clearly. It cures transparent in about 28 hours for me, in muggy London. It mixes well with ground up chalk pastels, pebeo vitrail, pearl Ex powders, mica colours, and glitter. All glitter, even the tiny stuff, will sink during curing if you mix it in right away. Acrylic paint took a lot of mixing and there were still some clumps, so I don't recommend using that, but perhaps it was just my paint?I've never noticed a smell from it,but I do sometimes feel lightheaded after using it. I think that might be more to do with having my head bent over my work for hours at a time, but I thought I should mention it, just in case. Open a window to be safe. It's quite thin, so I like to let it cure until it's thick and tacky, before adding any heavy embedments like metal charms. I've bought two packs since I started using this and I've made countless items from it, so 300mls lasts me roughly about 100 10p sized charms, or 50 bigger/thicker ones. You do have to use it within about 6 months, as the curing ability starts to fade from the moment you open the seal.

Very easy to use. This was my first time using it and the instructions are so easy to follow. I have used it on two models now for water, pond etc and it does exactly as it says on the box. It dried in the 24 hours as it states and looks like beautiful glassy water. I did 3 separate layers to make a deep pond and it looks lovely. If you follow the instructions and measure correctly I cannot see any problems with drying time. I left mine to dry in the kitchen (which is quite a chilly room) so if i had put it in a warmer room it would have dried even quicker. I think the people who state it took ages to dry must have mixed it incorrectly. I don't think you will find a better resin. There is no odour. It is a simple 2 part resin to 1 part hardner. If I can do it anyone can. Highly recommend. I am just about to buy more.

This is my second time purchasing this brand of resin. Bought the smallest size when I decided to make resin crafts for the first time, and now I've returned for the 300 mL size. It's great for beginners and for smaller projects. The resulting product is a durable, clear resin, just like glass. The time for the resin to cure/harden sometimes does take longer than 12-24 hours, but the hardening time is dependent on temperature. The recommended thickness of the project is 2 cm, but I've done thicker and just left it to cure for longer. When my house was 24 degrees Celsius, a 1 cm-thick project took less than 24 hours to cure. When my house was 21 degrees Celsius,a 1 cm-thick project took 36-48 hours to cure.

Amazing! And worked perfectly for me, I brought on offer as I’ve used many of pebeos products before (acrylic paint). After 12hrs I was able to de mould and after 24 they were set completely! I think the issue with other customers was that they either didn’t mix it probably, didn’t measure it out correctly or didn’t leave to cure in a warm room (at a constant temperature). If you follow the instructions it should be fine. I put the beaker in hot water before use and had barely any bubbles! Using a flame over it will also work but I didn’t have one at the time. I will definitely buy again and recommend! Will also consider buying the 3l package in the future when I have enough money.

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I ordered this, save for what I had gleaned from the previous reviews.. But this putty is great. It's easy to mix, and takes long enough to set for you to cover your object properly provided it's on the small side. Whilst the mold material is flexible, I would recommend making a two-part mold for objects with deeper crevaces (such as small skulls), with just a little smidge of vaseline between each joining surface. There's no information on the packaging to suggest that this material is food safe, so I will assume it's not. So far it's been great with paper pulp and press molds for sculpey.. Hoping to try some resin soon. :)

This resin is great for making dice I think personally since it's much runnier than other resin so it fills the numbers and corners very well. Keeping the cup sitting in hot water for a couple minutes before pouring gets rid of almost all the bubbles, resin colourant and mica powder works very well with it. The only issue is as it's so runny, glitter sinks to the bottom of the mould which is a shame. It takes a good 48 hours to cure enough to pop out of the mould and probably double that to cure fully before sanding. No stickiness, just be patient with curing time :) Also crystal clear.

I have Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome, Irritable Airway Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and other health disorders. I can't even tolerate having people in my house because of any scented products they've used or come in contact with. So far I've had no reaction to this resin. It's almost odourless when used in small quantities. I'm a complete beginner and have found it easy to use with good results. It has taken much longer than the recommended 24 to cure but the results are well worth the wait, especially when mixed with photoluminescent pigments.

I have tried resin a couple of times with mixed results (usually messy rather than awe inspiring!). This kit isn't cheap but you get a decent amount especially if you are planning to make small things like jewellery. The instructions are clear and as it's a well known brand there is plenty of additional information online. I found it takes longer to set than stated and also found out the hard way that there's potential for mess! Cover everything (in my case within a ten mile radius) and have spares of most bits handy. Great fun when it goes right!

brilliant and so easy to use. wish it dried in less time as I found myself wishing it would hurry up so I could get on with my crafts. Tip for new users buy some disposable plastic cups as this stuff ruins whatever it is mixed in and its a horrible yukky (and fruitless) task to try and clean mixing vessel on and latex gloves.....you will need them it comes with one set of useless plastic gloves but if you are crafting or planning on not using it all at once you will need more gloves.

New to crystal resin so can't compare with other products. Would have appreciated more than one pair of gloves and 2 mixing rods. Used to seal tile coasters. One 300ml box did 12 tiles. Have used 3 boxes so yes I would recommend. I did try heating very slowly in a warm oven as recommended by others who have used Envirotex but found did not produce as good a result as leaving to dry naturally. Would recommend. Incredibly fast delivery. Excellent seller A+++++++

Really easy to use. Make sure you measure out how much you need. I needed two lots for my tray which turned this into an expensive project. Also, be careful what you mix it in, it’s difficult to clean up. Don’t use kitchen pots and pans I decided to use Ceramic flower pots, which leads me to my next top tip, make sure the reciprocal you mix it on is colour fast, the paint in the pot turned my resin red.

It's possibly weather-dependent but here in Scotland I find that it takes 2 days to set, not one. Really pleased with the product though, suffer much fewer bubbles than the resin I was using previously. It is very viscous though, I found it leaks into other areas/off the intended surface more than other resins I've used. Overall I'm happy with it though, will definitely continue to use.

13.12.2018

Easy to work with and produces great results, only down side is that drying time is slower than industrial resin, so if you are using flowers or glitter they tend to settle to the bottom of the mould really quickly, on the plus side it doesn’t smell. Previous industrial resins that I have used are faster drying but have a really strong chemical smell that lingers for ages

Easy to mix and easy to use.I saw a couple of other reviews complaining about how long it took to set, but for me I followed instructions for the proportions and mixed it up really well (with a little of the luminescent pigment!) and it set pretty much exactly at the rate it advertised. It got heavier and stickier in a couple of hours. By the next day it was rock hard.
