I got fed up with the cheap biros at work randomly dropping big blobs of ink which then got smeared across the page, and decided to switch to another brand of pen. After trying a few different ones I settled on these, the Paper Mate "Flexgrip Ultra", medium tip. I have been using the black, blue and red for over a year now and they write smoothly and haven't deposited a single unwanted blob of ink. The ridged, rubberised grip is comfy and secure and the diameter is easy to hold when writing (I don't get on with trendy fat pens). I'm very happy with my writing tools now.I have just acquired some of the rare green ones and, although it's too early to know for sure,

I find that these are the best ball-point pens on the market. Where many other pens are slow starters and need a few moments to "warm-up", these write straight away - even when they haven't been used for a while. The writing is in solid, black ink - no faint or uneven lines.I am an author and I sometimes have to correct proofs where the type is small and the lines fairly closely-spaced: this requires a fine pen. This particular box was of pens with a 1.0 mm diameter tip, which is suitable for general writing and produces quite a thin line. In the same range there is, I believe, an even finer point available, which would be even better for very fine work.

These pens are excellent value from this seller, especially when buying as a bulk purchase. I use them all the time at work, and I get through alot of pens as a hospital doctor. These write very smoothly and accurately, with a minimal amount of blotching for a rollerball, and thet feel comfortable in the hand. The pocket clip is also fairly robust for plastic, and I haven't had any snap. I usually find each one lasts a few weeks of near continuous writing in patient notes (so long as they don't get mislaid or lent out), which for the variety of disposable pen makes I have tried is well above average.

The pens arrived exactly when they were promised and are in their own box exactly as in the photo.They are super comfortable to hold and write very smoothly. Also, are just the right thickness for me to write in tiny boxes on various forms at work!I also love how as soon as you've written it will not smudge if you lean on the page as some other pens do (i hate that!)My only problem is that i now have to hide the box from other people at work or they will all disappear!!

For longevity and practicality, you can't beat a papermate. I regularly buy a box of these just to have around the house and in my home office.I dont think I've ever actually had one of these run out on me. They just work, no fidgeting like some pens that you need to scribble for a bit before they'll work.My only gripe is that the top can be weirdly attached sometimes, so that a little pressure causes it to pop out and need re-screwed on, but it's a minor fault.

I'd say i'm pretty pleased with this product. I actually thought it was the retractable versions, but either way, i don't care about that part too much. These are really great because of the thinness of the tips, makes my writing really much neater.However it could be just slightly more glidey - i guess with a thinner tips its more difficult, but they just have a tiny bit too much friction for my liking. They run out pretty fast too, but you get a lot per pack

What can I say? A pen is a pen is a pen! They appear to be in proper order, were well-packed, and arrived within the time-scal expected. Readers of my reviews will probably know by now that I wouldn't pull any punches if a product purchased didn't live up to ecpectation in any way. With a fully-stocked pen-stand on my desk, I'd better start practising my hand-writing again! One tends to get lazy with a computer keyboard as a "pen"!!

They are also a dream to write with, even when writing long essays (I'm studying English, geography, history and classical civilisation: ALL essay subjects at A Level) the pen remains light and I find it glides over the paper. No pen is going to feel joyous after a 3 hour exam, but these pens get pretty close to that.

I had intended to use the 'refill' of these pens to replace those in the 'retractable' versions of the Papermate Flexgrip which I already own. However, there is a small but significant difference in the design. The refills for the retractable version have been 'nipped' about 1 inch from the tip - a necessary variation to ensure that the retractable pen works as intended.No major problem - I'll use these pens just as they are!

I love any pen that improves my writing and for some mysterious reason this pen does and hence why I have stocked up with 12! Definately my pen of choice. Very comfortable to hold - I don't personally like the thicker barrel pens and the ink is smooth and no smudging. I confess I was aiming for the retractable type with push top however these are the same pen with a pen lid you take on and off as required. Brilliant.

These packs of 12 pens are an excellent product at a very good price. They arrived quickly. Top marks!I was particularly pleased because I had previously made the mistake of ordering (through Amazon) the same pen from another company. This other company charged me over £7 for a single pen! Unbelievable. I returned this (there was no problem on refund) and ordered from this excellent company instead.

I know this is just a pen but I'll be really depressed if Paper Mate ever stop making this version. I use them for work all the time because they have (for me) exactly the right diameter and weight and the ridged bit near the tip means that they are easy to hold & don't slip.As I use a keyboard for 96% of my writing I appreciate a pen that I can just use without thinking.It's the little things...

These are simply the best pens I have ever owned. I first "found" them while working for a Government agency and could not believe my luck when I saw them on Amazon. A £1 per pen might seem pricey to some these days, but these fine pointed beauties leave no smears and yet a very clear print, with a great grip. Perfect for left handers like myself. Will be buying another box soon to keep handy.

This pen is the king of ball pens. Easy to write with and doesn't smudge. The retractable part also works well.I simply won't buy any other for my use (I do buy cheaper ones when I have to use them at 'events').The only fault with this pen is that it also has legs - and they seem to walk away on their own! So I cannot tell you if they work to the last drop of ink - but I would bet they do.
