These Paper Mate "Flexgrip" Ball Pens are great value, currently working out at less than £1 each - and they are THE only ones I will use, for any writing task, large or small, since I first discovered them several years ago - nothing else will do! The pens are so comfortable to use, due to their smooth shape and the slightly 'rubberised' and ridged 'grip' - and they are ideal for all writing tasks, from shopping lists and birthday cards to more lengthy form-filling etc. They would also be excellent trouble-free pens to use in exams. The end result is always good because they write so smoothly, and the ink comes out more evenly than any other pen I have ever used - also the writing rarely smudges,

Ink Lasted 2 and and a half months which is pretty long and as there is a 5 pack it could last me a year, has good grip, is refillable but ink refills are hard to find and just one costs more than the costs of 2 of these these pens with the ink which is strange. But pen is easy to write with writes smoothly at most angles even though it is not an inkjoy and is easy to write with so my handwriting doesn't become messy like cheap pens would. Packaging could be better but not too much of an issue. is well priced not too expensive. This 5 pack is greta value for money as I have previously bought a 2 pack for £2.00 and for less than double the price I have more than double the pens.

I do a lot of writing either letters or with studying so I need a good quality and comfortable pen, I had a set of these a year or two ago and loved them and then could not get hold of them :(Saw them on Amazon and was chuffed to see them back and at a great price (I paid double Amazons asking price) these never fail, no ink splats and ever so comfy to write with I can actually write for far longer before hand cramps due to the ease of these delightful pens a must for anyone who does a lot of writing. Yes they are simple looking and not glam but who cares when they are so good and they last for ages!! Will be stocking up buying more! go on treat your hands :)

I have been buying these pens for a few years now. I love them. They last a long time, have the retractable nib so you can pop one in your handbag, are cheap and they very rarely get that horrible gloopy mess of ink on the nib. I have them all over the house! The only wee thing I don't like much is the slip-proof ribbing on the side of the pen. The ribs are literally cut straight into the plastic, so it can get quite sore on your fingers if you have to write for long periods of time. It would be better if it was a soft rubber material. These are good pens. All five work fine. The tips glide smoothly over the paper, and don't blob or smudge. the tips retract easily and reliably at a click.I tried smudging them immediately after writing by rubbing a finger across the my writing. There was no smudge. (See photo.)I think these are a practical choice for all-round pens.

My two twin boys love writing with this pen so each term I get them a set. They say... It flows evenly onto the page no smugging, firm grip comfortable to hold, only issue friends keep borrowing the spare not returning it so by end term they are writing with a simple bic biro where I notice the sloppy spider crawl again.

Ink for last batch of these pens that I ordered from ~Amazon site seemed to run out quickly,. The ink in this batch of pens has lasted as long as I expected. It may have something to do with the supplier. for the last batch. Do check supplier and reviews before buying, I definitely will do before my next buy

For a standard every day use, these pens look great, the rubber outer helps to provide a good quality grip, the ink flow when writing is smooth.I have no problems recommending these pens for every day use and the price is cheaper for a pack of 5 then what you pay for a pack of 3 in most shops.

Excellent. All the pens work, and the price is good too. You may think you'll never need 5 pens. Think again. Car, office, kitchen, pocket, and a spare, for when you can never find a pen. Delivery was pretty quick from Amazon and the whole experience was recommended.

I bought these because people were saying the ink flows very easily and doesn't smudge. Indeed it doesn't smudge, and it's very comfortable to write with. However, although the ink flows better than other cheap pens, it's definitely not flowing that great.

I recently purchased the papermate "ink joy" pens yes they work ok but they make blobs when I write at school so I purchased these and these have got a great grip do not slip off unlike my other ones they are worth the money ? would recommend to a friend

These pens are great! Love the feeling of the pens. Its simple to click and write, no need to forget or loose the lid. The coverage is also really good. The rich blue colour of the ink stand out on paper, making text easier to read. Great for revision.

Have always loved these pens, learnt to write with a pencil and the transition to a pen was messy. But since finding these, I've never looked back. Retractable was easier at work, and now good to have in my bag( no mess)

Love these pens. The rubberised part makes holding them a lot easier. I like the feel of them and they are really nice to write with. Having a pack means I can have them in various places, including my handbag. Thanks!

Very good pens. They have ink and that stays on the paper when the pen is pressed on it and moved around. It’s just a pity I’m not good at writing or drawing, but can’t blame the tools here, it’s definitely the user.
