I was given the the ST45 Invector Microwave Oven by Panasonic to review as part of the 'Panasonic Reviewer Programme'. On unboxing the microwave it looks very large but it sits neatly on top of the freezer. Inside the oven there's room for large or elongated plates. And you can get bulky oven gloves inside to take out your cooked food safely. I noticed in the instructions, it states to use cling film to cover food while cooking. I would prefer to use a plate or something similar - doing my bit for the planet! The control panel is straightforward and the buttons are clearly marked. One slight bug-bear is that the beeps could have been louder. I have always used Panasonic microwaves with my first one lasting 20 years!I expect good things from this one, especially regarding its 'Inverter' technology. Setting the clock and the delay start/standing time is a little confusing at first - 10 mins button = hours, 1 min & 10 secs buttons = mins. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I got there in the end! The auto sensor reheat/cook worked well. I cooked various frozen vegetables, entered the relevant program number and let the microwave do its thing by sensing the steam emitting from the bowl - the contents cooked perfectly. I then cooked a casserole from frozen using the auto sensor. It cooked quicker than was stated on the pack's instructions. The program numbers are also shown at the top of the oven when you open the door - very handy! I tried the Auto melt/soften program to soften butter straight out of the fridge. The time the microwave chose was about right but the middle was a bit softer than the outside. I used the cream cheese program instead as the butter one would have melted it completely. I didn't have time to cover all the features, such as the interestingly named Chaos Defrost! I'm looking forward to using the microwave's other programs and recipes in the coming weeks. I would recommend this microwave to anyone looking for loads of useful features.

I was asked to trial the ST45 Invector Microwave Oven and review under the 'Panasonic Reviewer Programme.' Before receiving the microwave I was concerned it would not fit into my kitchen as the only appliance on show is a black hob and black and stainless steel oven and the microwave is white. In fact with the microwave in place, the glass door looks more grey than white and the black edging around the clear glass of the door matches the oven door. The microwave blends in perfectly. On opening the door to place the turntable in I was amazed by the space. With my previous microwave also a Panasonic I could not use certain dishes but my square 28 cm Pyrex dish fits and rotates easily so the vegetable lasagne recipe will be next to try.A 6 pint glass basin also fits with plenty of space above it so I will be able to cook small batch jam with this microwave without fear of boiling over. Having read the instruction and recipe book I gave two recipes a try. Steam puddings in the microwave are quick to make so I used the steamed suet sponge pudding recipe, using a rounded bottom pudding basin. In the past I covered loosely with cling film during cooking but the recipe did not mention it. The resulting pudding was excellent in taste and texture but in future I would increase the jam and have no fear of it spilling out. Another quick and easy favourite baked apples, I have always covered again with cling film. The recipe did not state covering and the result as the same excellent. The control panel is easy to use. Although I never defrost food in a microwave I did defrost bread rolls using the chaos defrost setting to give it a try and they defrosted evenly. Again I did not cover so with this microwave there will be no cling film going to land fill. My husband first used the microwave to re heat chilled curry dishes and rice using the auto sensor reheat and found the microwave easy to use but would have liked the shortest time at the top of the control panel.

I recently received the ST45 Inverter Microwave Oven to test and review under the 'Panasonic Reviewer Programme'. I was initially impressed with the overall appearance of the ST45, liking the glossy white finish, and pleased that it fitted very well into the available space I had in my kitchen. My previous microwave was also a Panasonic one but did not have a turntable like this one does and I was initially apprehensive as to whether or not my oval shaped dinner plates and cooking dishes would actually fit on the glass turntable with room to rotate, but am pleased to say that the roomy interior of this microwave accommodated their size easily. The Control Panel has an intuitive design which makes operation of the microwave an easy task.I would have preferred the control panel to be backlit in some way as my kitchen is fairly dark but this would not be a problem for well-lit rooms. I am impressed with the Inverter technology used and the Chaos defrosting. You don't have to cover food whilst defrosting and you can adjust the weight easily with the up and down on the control panel which gives better more accurate results. I have tested meat and bread using this method and they have been defrosted evenly throughout. With regards to re-heating I have to say that the Auto Sensor Reheat setting is now a favourite of mine. With the Genius Sensor you can be certain of great re-heating results. I have tested several different types of meal including a plated roast dinner and a curry dish and this function makes it so easy, taking the guesswork out of cooking times and beeping to remind you to stir the meal when required. The Instruction/Cookbook comes with a variety of recipes and tips for making alterations when cooking for one. There are plenty of useful functions that I am still familiarising myself with but overall I would highly recommend this microwave to anyone considering a purchase.

As a regular daily user of a microwave oven for many years I feel that this one is an excellent family sized oven with glass turntable. It does many of the normal kitchen cooking well and I notice it does a number of tasks I have not tried before. Like anything new the controls take a bit getting use to but after reading the handbook a couple of times, it all came clear. The user handbook is very well written and the cookbook has a number of easily cook meals, something for the winter nights. The word 'inverter technology' was a new term to me and I found several webpages that gave good a description and the work by Panasonic to create a total outstanding microwave oven especially with food requiring short cooking times.I can recommend the croissants cooked from the freezer which require very short cooking time. The cooking of fresh vegetables is very good, I have tried boiled potatoes, broccoli, swede and peas so far, I found that swede required a little longer time to soften than the book but some swedes can be tough. I liked the stewed apple also pasta which can be cooked in a fraction of the time using the hob. One the many thing I have found very useful that I have not available on my previous microwave ovens is. the Auto Sensor Reheat Programmes. I have found it useful for cooking precooked food from chilled. This does not dry the food up as in normal kitchen ovens. Another function I think will see a lot of use is the Defrost control use the very comprehensive chart from the handbook, I can see defrosting bread and meat being used a great deal. One of the things in the cookbook is baking a cake in the microwave oven, I have not had time to try it but I will, the energy cost savings must be great. I was given the microwave to test under Panasonic Reviewer Programme and only one small negative comment that the warning tone is quiet low for me if I am in another room.

I was given this Microwave oven by Panasonic as part of the "Panasonic Reviewer programme". I always had a Panasonic Microwave and I was always happy with them. This one was just as good. I have tried most of the programs. There were just too many to try in a short period of time. There are the usual programs and functions you get with most Microwaves but the best one are the Auto sensor programs. The most useful feature I found was the Auto Melt and Soften program. It softened Ice cream to a lovely texture! I have also melted chocolate to use in a cake and melted just perfect. The only problem was on the softening butter- the program was to long and if I would have left it in for the whole time I would have ended with liquid. It has good programs on heating liquids, like drinks or ready made soups. The Auto Sensor program is great for heating up chilled meals or soups straight from the fridge. I was quite impresed with cooking vegetables using the Autosensor programs. I have tryed frozen and fresh vegetables and they were good every time. The controls are very easy to understand and use and everything is easy to clean. The only thing I was not happy with it is the suggestion in the Instruction booklet to put cling film over the dishes! I try to use as little as possible cling film or plastic! I have used my Pyrex type dishes with lid and the work perfectley well! No need for plastic!

The ST45KW is much the same size as my previous microwave so I had no problem placing it in my kitchen but, remarkably, it has a larger internal capacity. I used the manual defrost for sausages, with a good result, not at all dry and the Chaos Defrost on a frozen homemade beef and mushroom casserole. The oven beeps twice to alert you to stir/turn the food. Both meat and mushrooms defrosted very evenly and was then reheated on Auto Sensor Reheat in next to no time. I cooked perfect 'al dente' pasta verdi using the Auto Sensor Cook function. It took me a while to get my head around the Multi-Stage cooking option but, with 7 power levels including defrost ,it really is worth persevering and I made my favourite fish pie using frozen fish. I reduced the Almond Eve's Pudding recipe in the instruction booklet for the 2 of us and I would normally cover a sponge with kitchen paper, but this is not necessary and I stopped buying clingfilm when my last roll ran out so it is very satisfying not to have to use it. Also, this microwave has an energy saving function which means that the display is reduced on standby. I think there are many reasons why I would recommend this microwave but adaptability has to be top of the list. I was given this product by Panasonic as part of their Panasonic Reviewer programme.

This microwave is much the same size as my previous Panasonic one so I had no problem fitting it in and the internal capacity is slightly large, which is a bonus. Sausages defrosted quickly without drying up, using the manual programme, and the Chaos defrost worked well on a homemade beef and mushroom casserole, followed by the Auto Sensor reheat, with the whole cooking perfectly evenly. I made the Almond Eve's pudding in the recipe book using half the ingredients for the two of us. It took me a while to get my head around the Multi-Stage cooking, but I would say that it is very worthwhile persevering. I made my favourite fish pie using this function, and it left me time to make the accompaniments.I cooked pasta verdi in a lidded Pyrex casserole using Auto Sensor cook. I dumped clingfilm when my last roll ran out so not having to use it is very satisfying and this oven even has a stand-by mode to save power. In summary, I would consider this microwave oven to be a very useful kitchen tool. I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Programme.

When the microwave/oven arrived I thought it looked quite large, when unpacked I was pleasantly surprised. It was bigger than my previous microwave only and noticed straight away how light it was to lift. It fits perfectly in the corner of my kitchen on the worktop. There is plenty of room inside and a good sized glass turntable. The buttons are all explanatory, takes bit of getting used to but easy when you get the hang of it. Setting the clock was a bit of a task but got there on the end. I like the auto sensor features and the list of program numbers inside the door is very handy. I have heated meals, defrosted and made soup. I am going to try one of the yummy recipes inside the instruction booklet as they look great. My children are keen to have a go at the making something over the weekend. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of buying one. I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Program.

Received this microwave off Panasonic free to test and review it is a very attractive looking microwave and a good size. I use it to heat soups and drinks every day and also like to poach eggs . It's very easy to cook vegetables saves a lot of time. My granddaughter loves to bake cakes and loves the melting chocolate function I can see her coming round wanting to bake all the time it's a lot easier for her to use than melting chocolate in my old microwave. Not had this microwave long but am looking forward to trying a lot of the recipes in the instruction book I tend to buy ready made meals to heat up but that will change.

Compared to my old microwave it cooks my food unbelievably quick, the smell fo it just after minutes. Variable power and the settings once learnt how to use them properly are nifty. Would definitely recommend.
