I use it to heat up tea & coffee; heat up plates before a meal; defrost frozen food; steam vegetables; soften stale bread etc; heat up food - soup or left-overs; cook fish if not grilling. Since being more aware of climate change I use the grill & cooker a lot as I'm trying to reduce my use of gas - my electricity provider is Good Energy so entirely wind power. I find the cooker & grill both tend to burn at the back, but that's fine - I just turn the food around. I have only had 2 Panasonic microwaves that between them have lasted maybe 25-30 years (this ones' still going well so good ecologically) & plenty others that quickly failed. I like the lack of dials so it's easy to clean. When this one finally fails, if Panasonic did one without the so-called 'Automatic Programmes' I'd go for it. I've never used them & can't see the point. I know how long I want something to cook for & don't want a machine that doesn't know controlling things. Apparently you need to know how much food weighs, in grams for goodness sake. I semi have to use it with the Defrost Chaos programme. I would never defrost mince or meat & have to guess how many grams in order to get it to work for as long as I want + there'no choice of power level. Ridiculous! I probably use the Quick 30" button the most. It's a nuisance still to have to press Start, & even more so a nuisance to have to press Stop - even after you have opened the door - in order to use it again. It ought to start up automatically after 2 seconds pause in pressing Quick 30" as many times as you want, & then not to have to press Stop when it stops in order to get it to cook further. Quieter, & the ping programmable to quiet (I can't use the microwave to heat up tea if I get up before my partner), medium & loud (good if I get deafer with age!) & continue IF CHOSEN after finishing with a medium not too irritiating ping every minute - would be good. The clock would still be on & the reminder useful. It needs an indepedent timer.

I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program. My previous microwave is a Panasonic combination of the same power and internal size which sadly I have never used to it's maxim capabilities. Reduced to warming up the occasional microwaveable dish, it has never been anything but a simple microwave. With receiving the new one I've told myself that to be able to correctly review I have to get cooking! And cooking I did. Since it's arrival in our home, the black, beautiful, sleek machine has completely taken over all duties that the big Range Master was performing. How pleased I was to discover that I don't have to wait for tens of minutes for the oven to warm up !Heat-up a quiche ? 15 minutes altogether including oven warm-up ( as opposed to 15 minutes at least just to heat up the Range). Now I don't want to make this a comparison between two products that are completely different. What I'm saying here is that the Panasonic is much more economic and convenient especially when only cooking for two. Which I'd discovered this sooner with my old one. Some of the dishes I've successfully prepared : - beef goulash ( from amongst the recipes in the users books) - roast beef + roast potatoes ( amazingly easy using the auto program, who would have thought?!) - grilled salmon ( defrosted really quick with the Chaos Defrost program ) - French baguette Also the grill function is perfect for heating pita bread ( that never quite fits in my toaster) , toasting tea cakes ( wich I always used to carbonise under my Ranges Master's grill). I also very much like the design of the front panel. No actual buttons makes it so easy to wipe clean . Easy intuitive interface allows even the dizziest of us to navigate with ease thru setting up programs. As a piece of advice : read the user manual! It only takes a little time but will unlock the true powers of your new kitchen appliance. It will save you money and most importantly, precious time.

I was given this amazing product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Program and I can't thank them enough. It looks very sleek, smart, and slimline and fits the same space as my old microwave as well as fitting in with the rest of my kitchen equipment. The oven inside is so deceivingly big compared to my old one that I can fit my large dishes in with ease. I'm an ordinary mother of two teenage kids and a granddaughter and one of those people who used to use my microwave just for heating up or cooking a microwave meal so when this badboy was delivered and I saw the operating instruction booklet I've got to admit I was a bit daunted. However the instructions were easy to read and I also took advantage of the demo mode which enabled me to experiment with the various settings that this beauty has to offer.....and there are loads of useful features. It's an absolute pleasure to use, better than my cooker!! It does the usual functions like so many other microwaves but offers so much more. I've grilled bacon and sausages quicker and just as tasty, the convection function is handy as my cooker isn't a double oven, using the combination cooking modes are a fantastic idea which enables foods to cook quickly while browning and making it crispy, so my homemade lasagne went down well with the family. I can even cook a joint of meat and bake cakes which I've never done in a microwave before!! I'm looking forward to trying out the junior menu programs on my guinea pig i.e.granddaughter which will save me time which can be spent on her rather than cooking. There are plenty of menu programs, auto cook programs and useful recipes in the manual which I can't wait to try out. All in all I've got to admit this Microwave is my new best friend and honestly believe that I'll be using it MORE than I use my cooker and hob. Thankyou so much to the Panasonic team for giving me the opportunity to review and keep this wonderful cooking aid. I LOVE it!!

I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer programme. My previous oven is a Panasonic Combination, so I was eager to see how this NN-CT56 had improved, and it did not disappoint. Being reduced in size, it fitted neatly into the same spot. However, its size belies the internal space of 27Ltr capacity and a 34cm glass turntable which takes my largest casserole dish with ease. If you have not used a combination microwave before there is a very useful demonstration mode. I found the accompanying manual easy to follow, with some useful recipes but really, the only limit is your imagination and virtually any recipe can by adapted with a bit of tweaking because the 2 and 3 stage functions allow you total control. The delay/stand function allows you to delay the start time of your cooking as you would a conventional oven or let you know when the standing time is up. The useful Quick 30 allows microwave cooking at 30second intervals up to 5 minutes. The Add Time button can be used in the same way for longer periods. I have roasted my joints on combination for years because it takes so much less time and this oven cooked my beef perfectly, even though I chose Auto/roast, well done, it was not a bit dry and the potatoes cooked to a lovely crisp brown whilst the beef was resting. A family favourite of chocolate and syrup sponge cooked for 4 minutes on microwave was, as usual, light and fluffy. Chicken and vegetable 'stir-fry'? - no problem. I defrosted and cooked the chicken breasts, added the chopped vegetables and some sweet and sour sauce. The veg. retained its colour and was a little 'al dente'. The scones in the booklet contain no egg but they rose before my eyes, and were golden brown. The Junior fish pies made a perfect starter. Hubby's favourite Toad-in-the-Hole did not disappoint either. This is a stylish and intelligent kitchen essential but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to use it.

I had my first combination oven over 20 years ago and have never been with out one since, over the years I have seen many improvements in the various models but this latest model has taken a very big leap forward. The oven was easy on the eye so very quickly found a small lesser used work surface to place it on. The size of this oven is deceptive in that when the door is open you see a large turntable which was not expected, I baked a 10in square fruit cake in it with no problems. The heat is very even due to the rotation and the internal fan. The range of auto cook programmes is very comprehensive without being confusing, I cooked a whole chicken 1.2kgs on auto roast, time taken 33mins and it beeped after 2/3 of the time to remind me to turn it onto it's back and the result was wonderful, golden brown skin, moist meat cooked all the way through. The add time button was very useful if cooking more than one thing at a time. This oven has many functions which are all usable and range from auto defrost, chaos defrost, grilling, convection and combination this is my go to oven for all my cooking. A new feature on this model is the junior menu, I used this even though there are no juniors in our house and quickly come to the opinion that this feature could be used for someone recovering from illness or the elderly with swallowing troubles as well as making healthy food for the young ones, fresh vegetables fries yummy. This could under supervision be a good way to introduce young people to healthy cooking as they would get quick, easy and tasty results. I feel the need to mention the excellent instruction book with recipes, I keep mine in the draw under my oven and it's my bible so much information that allows you to get the very best out of your oven. Treat your self you will not regret buying this oven. This product was given to me by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program.

After receiving the Panasonic microwave to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program I couldn't wait to open the box and take a look. I liked the look of it so much that before I'd fully unboxed it I took a photo of it and posted it onto my Facebook page. On first impressions you could be quite intimidated. Due to the sleek black design with the touch button control panel you'd think it would be difficult to operate, but it isn't. Along with the instruction manual you also have a step by step operating guide which appears in the display window and is very clear and easy to follow even for those who are academically challenged! This isn't just a microwave it's a grill and a convection cooker which cooks from the outside inwards like a traditional oven. It comes with three accessories, a glass turntable, enamel tray and a wire rack. My first use was heating up a Piri Piri Wrap. After selecting the correct time and pushing the start button my next thought was how loud I thought it was. But after considering the amount of power it comes with (nearly double that of my older Samsung microwave) I soon gained perspective and in all honesty I don't even notice it any more. I was a little more brave the second time. I selected #13 Reheat Chinese Style one of the various auto cooking programs this microwave offers (see photo) and found it was a piece of cake, lol so now there's no stopping me. It's a real time saving device cooking in less than half the time mine did. Thanks to this microwave my meals aren't limited, now I've got a lot of options. I want to experiment further with the different cooking options this Panasonic microwave with inverter technology offers (after I've purchased the correct microwavable utensils ) Plus the instruction manual for this microwave also includes a number of different cooking recipes which is a real help to a novice cook like me.

I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program. First impressions were how the design fitted so well with my black gloss fitted kitchen units and the size was much the same as the compact microwave I had owned for many years. Next thing to impress me was the internal size as it is so much bigger and more practical than my old microwave. After quickly studying the information booklet, I set the time and quickly got to grips with the basic functions. Easy enough to understand the basics and the display panel prompts are useful whilst still getting used to the functions. So far I've had great results cooking vegetables, ready meals, poached and scrambled eggs, frozen pizza, rice, sauces and porridge, as well as heating soups, sauces and baked beans. The combination features are really useful too when you need to brown or crisp certain foods. I've just defrosted some sirloin steaks and was a little apprehensive as my old microwave would always start cooking the edges of the meat, but, they were perfectly defrosted. I'm now confident to experiment further with all the features and I'm sure this product will serve as a practical addition to my single oven kitchen, especially when making large family roasts when oven space is limited. As an independent reviewer I am giving my honest opinion of the product and have used it in a real family kitchen on a daily basis. So far, I cannot fault the product in any way and hope this review helps others when considering the purchase of a new microwave oven.

I loved the fact that the product combines several functions and cooks food so quickly. I have used the microwave (which worked quickly and efficiently) and the Convection oven feature and both were amazing as well as using the auto settings for making baked potatoes, which came out with perfect crisp skins and beautifully soft in the middle, they looked so much better than when they are just put in a regular microwave and 2 were done within 15 minutes, I can now have great potatoes after work without waiting 2 hours for them! The inverter technology must work well as everything has come out perfectly cooked so far.I have already found I'm using this instead of the regular oven as it cooks things better and is much quicker both in warming up and cooking time and vegetables and fish come out just great. Living in a flat, it is really useful that it is slimline, as we don't have much counter space, but the bonus is that there is plenty of space inside compared to my last microwave, which I struggled to fit a dinner plate into, this took a dinner plate easier, so made reheating meals much easier. It can be a little noisy but all microwaves are like that and nothing major or anything to worry about. I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program.

I was asked to review this microwave on behalf of Panasonic Reviewer Progam. I would highly recommend, the slimline design is fabulous, it looks so good and neat on my worktop, it does look small on appearance but actually holds a 340mm turntable, and is great for cooking casserole dishes etc. The microwave has a 1000w output which cooks your food super quick, so great for when your in a hurry. The grill and oven are great too. Perfect for people with back problems and bending instead of using an cooker, where you would normally have to bend to use. The black shine of the microwave looks fab and stands out in my kitchen. Buttons are like a smartphone keypad, easy to use and straight forward even for the less clued up.It's quite light to lift too into the work surface, . After having this for a week I would actually do away with my cooker all together,as this microwave does everything your cooker would do and more. Bye bye pans for veg and potatoes, all can be done in this combined oven/grill/microwave. It is also very quiet when it is on and the bleep when food is ready is an adequate level so I can hear in my kitchen. It also comes with a rack for you grilling things and a enamel tray for anything you want to cook in the oven. I just love it ❤️

I have only just received the my new combination microwave oven and so far I am over the moon with my purchase. It was an indulgent, impulse purchase (Black Friday has a lot to answer for) as the microwave element on my last combi had broken but I am so happy that I gave in to impulse.I have used all of the features (as you do) and I am so pleased with the results. My jacket potato cooked beautifully on microwave and oven combi mode in great time, due to the inverter technology I guess. It is much more responsive than my previous oven which was only three years old.The online product reviews that I had read were accurate. It is a great size for me.I cooked a large pizza in the oven yesterday and it was lovely in size and perfect crispness of the base. The oven sits perfectly on my worktop, it is not as large as my last oven which was a little too large for my kitchen space if I am honest. I am hoping to use this for everyday meal preparation rather than using my large built in oven whenever possible. I really hope that it lasts (fingers crossed)I now need to purchase some additional baking trays for the oven as it is more compact than my previous oven but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

This is my first combination microwave oven and it's a fantastic bit of kit. I didn't realise you could do so much with such a device! The oven looks stylish, modern and comes a range of accessories such as large round glass tray and a wire rack. It's deceptively large on the inside given the smaller external footprint. With 1000w microwave power and 1300w grill power this oven manages to cook just about anything and fast. There's a good range of auto cook operating functions totalling 29 functions in all, all easily accessible using it is super simple touch menu, even setting the clock was easy, which is a good test for the user menu structure.I was given this oven by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program and i'm enjoying integrating this oven in to our daily cooking. This is a great oven, I wish I had one years ago.

My wife and I have always had a combination microwave but our old one was past its best, so after hunting around we found the one for us. This combi-microwave is sensational, yes sensational it is smaller than our old one but a huge difference in usability it's just incredible. The chaos defrost is which-craft I'm sure, it's brilliant how it can defrost thick cuts of meat all the way through without cooking the edges it's magical. It's very powerful so heats and cooks all foods and liquids a lot quicker than other microwaves, it's a lot quieter than our old one and the way it looks is superb. I honestly can't think of anything that is a negative about it we just love it and I'm sure anyone else would too.Panasonic have done a great job with this piece of equipment.

Bought this as a replacement for a much older model and was influenced by the Which review as their top combi-microwave.Whether it's used as a microwave, convection oven or grill it gives great results, however I'm not sure I'd like to grill fatty meats like bacon then use the oven to bake a cake without cleaning it out really well, however it is easy to clean. The instructions are well laid out and easy to follow. Comes complete with raised metal grill/oven stand and a plate for use in the oven. Can't think of any downsides however apparently as a microwave it is slightly noisier than most but I haven't noticed.Ordered from Very at 4pm on a Friday and was delivered 2pm on the Saturday

This is the second Panasonic microwave I have owned. I purchased It to replace a similarly specified Panasonic model which had reached the end of its life. I wanted to get a replacement which was as similar to my old model as possible as I liked the features, especially the chaos defrost, and the fact It makes excellent use of space. I find it really easy and intuitive to use, the membrane type control panel is easy to clean and I think helps the appearance. I have to confess there are many of the features I hardly ever use, but seem to work ok on the few occasions I have used them. My only real negative is that it can be a little noisy in operation.

13.3.2020

The microwave is used daily in our household, mainly for vegetables, reheating cold or frozen home-cooked meals, and porridge. Oven chips do well on combination of grill and m/wave. Lemon Curd is excellent, but requires a lot of whisking. I don't think we've found auto-cook useful. Much preferred the auto-cook vegetables on our previous model - no setting timing required. As for niggles: 1. occasional steaming up between glass panels on door. Is this a design feature or a fault? 2. unit slides too easily on work surface when buttons pressed. Better adhesion of foot-pads desireable. 3. finger marks on unit during use is a pain.
