Ticks all of the boxes, I was swayed by the flatbed, previous reviews stated about its ease of cleaning, i don't think taking a microwave plate out and washing it was anymore difficult...All round great, looks classy, the control panel isn't the most sensitive, but purely responds after you've let go of the button, other than that, it is very powerful, and has a subtle few beeps at the end that won't wake the house in the early hours, and repeats the beep if you forget to remove your reheated brew!

The one touch start is a bonus and there is plenty of room inside for plated meals and baby bottles. The keypad controls are a bit annoying as they don't respond until you release the button and quite a bit of pressure is required. At 900W, it is also less powerful, strangely, than my previous Sharp microwave which was only 800W and there is the fact that this model is also available for around £15-20 less from other, mostly online, retailers. That said, I would certainly recommend this product.

With built-in timers for selected programmes it is almost as good as my last one though I agree with another review which stated that the times were not quite long enough and the keys do have to be pressed hard so not so good for older users. Individual seconds for the timer would be useful. The cooking is even. Overall I would recommend though there is still room for improvement. The suction pads under the oven anchors it to the work surface so there is no movement when operating as with others.

Very pleased with this microwave. The best part for me is the fact that there is no turntable. It is so easy to wipe clean. Its very solid and does not move at all once you place it in position. Also, there is a cover below the door which stops any crumbs etc from going under the microwave. Easy to program but as other reviews have stated you need to press hard to start. It, Not a problem but slightly irritating. I have not had a microwave before with a cooling fan. All in all it is well built.

The microwave is a compact appliance that looks good in the kitchen, the audible warnings that were previously mentioned as being a problem with the fan running are not a concern and are loud enough to be heard. The flatbed design without a rotating plate is a great feature and makes for easy cleaning and the controls are easy to master although the touch buttons do require more of a pressure to activate them. Overall the appliance is a well constructed item and is recommended for normal use.

I read the previous reviews and should have taken more notice. Yes it does the job, but.. I didn't think that the fan that carries on after the item has finished being warmed up would bother me but it does. The buttons/selection areas, are harder to press than any other model ive come across. That bothers me as well, its annoying.Other than those things it does the job efficiently in heating up whatever is put into it. At 900 watts I would expect it to.It is great not to have a turntable.

The colour and style is fab and goes with my kitchen perfectly. I like the fact there's no turntable, more room for different shaped plates and easy to clean. Easy to set the clock. Fast at heating up with the alternative of different heat settings. Defrosting function is really good. Only downside is the control buttons are a bit stiff to press and take a couple of goes to work and it does get quite hot. The fan stays on a bit but I guess that's to cool it down. Overall a good microwave.

Finally bought a microwave after more than 25 years without one, and after a lot of nagging from my children! This flat bed microwave is FANTASTIC! Super powerful, very quick to cook and reheat, and the flat bed is so easy to clean, far better than the normal ones with the glass plate on an awkward turntable. Looks stylish. The only thing I can think could be seen as a negative point, is the fan keeps going noisily for a little while after the microwave has been used for longer than 25 mins.

I like SHARP products and the design fits in nicely with my kitchen style. One gripe: I love the modern look and feel of touch pad controls, but these ones take getting used to. SHARP could have made the buttons a bit more responsive.Depending on what you’re heating, the cooling fan may continue to run after cooking time is finished. This can be anything from 20 seconds to a minute plus. I don’t mind this if it prolongs the life of the microwave, but some may not like the extended noise.

As always had Sharp microwaves since late 80's this oven looked ideal for us.Quality looks and feels great, and using is a dream, but there at a few minor quirks to note. One issue is the run on of the unit after a slightly long microwaving session, its supposed,to cool oven down, but you quickly get used to this and doesn't detract from it being excellent! Also the touchpad needs to be depressed slightly firmer than previous models when operating.,All in a great buy, highly recommended.

Last sharp lasted 15 yrs so wanted another. Wasn't sure about flatbed but it's been perfect. Note - buttons work fine but only register when you let the button go. No hard press, no delay, just press and let go and it registers. Odd to get used to but fine. Beep noise no louder than others i've used. Fan noise unusual in that it sounds just like the microwave working and if I hadn't read reviews I'd have wondered too. Doesn't stay on too long. Suckers on back feet stop it slipping. Pleased

Bought this to replace an old Panasonic microwave, this one is much better. The best part is that it has no turntable, you put items directly onto the base of the cooker. There are markings on the base to show you where to place items, it is much easier to take items in and out and is also a lot easier to clean without the glass turntable. It cooks evenly and seems more powerful than our old microwave. The metallic finish looks good and the door is easy to open/close. Would recommend.

Pros: Squarish cooking space without turntable heats evenly. Use large dishes or two or three at once. Buttons clearly printed with words not ambiguous symbols. End beeps repeat after about a minute if door not opened. Inside easy to clean. LCD digits visible across the kitchen..Cons: Seem to need to stop to change power level whilst cooking (eg 3 min @100% to boil rice then 40% to simmer. (but it has an auto programme for rice) . Metal door mask restricts the viewing of cooking

27.3.2019

Good concept. Quite bulky. Controls are easy to understand and intuitive. Quite loud when running but it has a very powerful fan thus preventing accumulation of moisture. Controls don’t respond on pressing but on releasing the pressure which one can get used to but sometimes they need repeated pressing. I can see why this is. The strip with the symbols on the replacement oven was misaligned revealing it to be quite thick hence reducing sensitivity. Very good customer service.

This turntable free microwave cooks evenly and has plenty of space for a large plate or casserole dish and because it has no turntable you know that if it fits, it fits and will not bash the side of the microwave as it spins round, because it doesn't. Only a couple of small gripes... the key pad is not the most positive and I sometimes have to stab it a couple of times before it registers. The alarm is short lived and not very loud but it does repeat if you don't open the door.
