Upon receipt of this 3-in1 microwave oven, I was impressed; it was well packed, not too heavy, modern stainless-steel design and although looking compact, has a massive 27L capacity - enough for cooking family meals. The various controls are clear and easy to master - the operating instructions and recipe booklet are detailed and easy to follow. The 'auto programs' are brilliant and takes the calculations and anticipation out of cooking a range of foods - just select the category of food and just enter the weight! Being able to add extra cooking time without having to reset everything is a blessing. The large capacity oven and auto roast program I used for lamb and chicken, ensured great family meals we all enjoyed. New potatoes and vegetables cooked, using the microwave function, were perfect and tasted so much nicer than previous methods I've used. Preheating the oven is so easy and it 'beeps' and a 'P' flashes to show its ready for use - auto cooking frozen pizza, using the enamel tray and wire rack, is now delegated to family members without worrying! The oven has an auto weight defrost - chaos defrost function which is so easy to use and can be used for bread, small portions of meat such as chops as well as meat joints and chicken, takes away the previous dilemma of having to consider alternatives for dinner as I've forgotten to get the food out of the freezer! The oven can be used for grilling and convection cooking as well as microwave and a combination of method, which is not only economical, but also delivers great food. The 'Junior Menu' is amazing for making healthy and tasty purees fruit and vegetables as well as smaller portions for the children - mine especially liked the individual fish pies. The recipes for sauces worked perfectly as did the bread and butter pudding. This oven certainly feeds my appetite to keep experimenting with a range of recipes. I have been given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Program.

Please note that I have been given this product to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Program. I was impressed as soon as I took delivery of it - it was far less heavy than I was expecting. This made it very easy to unpack and install in the location I chose. Setting the clock is very easy. I am very impressed by the clearly set out control panel - no worrying about whether I have selected the program/function I actually want. The item and its accessories are very well made. So far I have used the oven for convection cooking (making a chocolate chip cake in a Pyrex glass dish), microwave cooking of a favourite meal of mine, and microwave cooking of a convenience meal. For me,using convection cooking instead of a conventional oven is actually better than using a conventional oven - I know as soon as the oven is ready for use thanks to the pre-heat function, and there is no forgetting an item is in the oven because you program in a cooking time before you start cooking. With all cooking modes, you may need to adjust your cooking time slightly. The meal I have cooked - a curry - was a recipe I was given some years ago and the timings are for a 650 watt oven; I have found that the medium power level of this oven - 600 watts - is ideal for cooking this meal. For the convenience meal I cooked via microwave - a fish pie - the cooking instructions stated to cook on full power, but here were no times given on the packaging for a 1000 watt oven; I calculated from the times/oven wattage levels shown that 8 minutes would be the required time, but carefully observed the item cooking - and was able to determine that 7 minutes was sufficient cooking time. Should I need to add more cooking time, this oven makes it very easy to do. I have also used microwave cooking to cook frozen peas to go with a fish and chip meal - and the peas come out superbly well, very tasty and succulent. There are many functions of this oven, which I am looking forward to exploring.

I have been given this item to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Programme and I am so pleased with it I have consigned my elderly Kenwood to an alternative home with my Mum. I am an older lady and usually find the tech on these new microwaves very hard to understand and use so I end up just reheating and defrosting and that's about it! In the few days I have had this I have made meringues, cooked a superb bacon baguette (frozen baguette too),cooked all different size pizzas, nuggets, fries, wedges and even made my husbands favourite sponge pud in 2 minutes! I have tried out as much as possible including baking recipes and sausage rolls.I have not had a problem with anything and the resultshave surprised me as they were so good.Just like oven baked which for me is so weird having never actually cooked with a microwave before now. The controls are very easy to use (even for me) and the book is a huge help as it is so thorough and seems to have thought of most things. The opening latch is so easily pushed it is ideal for someone who has poor use of their hands. The interior is really spacious and importantly easy to clean! Full size plates and dishes fit in easily with room to spare,I did wonder about this as the compact design on the counter uses such little space. It didn't seem to 'overcook' stuff when defrosting either,I tried meatballs and it was very fast, very clean and I love the dial for setting the times which is totally alien to me as I always choose push button/touch usually. I asked my son who is a keen cook to help with the trial and he has Autism so sometimes needs a little time to get used to things,he actually showed me how easy the junior cook function is to use and is just as keen to use it more for his cooking as I am so we may have to share! The combinations of cooking give you literally hundreds of options which is brilliant BUT in an easy to use straightforward style unlike any combination oven I've tried to use in the past.

We've always bought Panasonic combination microwaves (well, only two previously, due to their longevity). The previous one developed a fault which was not economic to repair, but after 11 years of daily family use I reckon we'd had good value from it.I was hesitant to buy this one after some of the reviews about it not being a 'true' convection oven (it isn't) and complaints about the turntable drive. It's different. So, what Panasonic have done with this over the previous model is done away with the heating element behind the panel at the back (which also contained the fan) and they now use the quartz grill elements for the convection oven setting, and a fan blows air around to distribute the heat.Hmm, I thought, that's not so good. But I've used it to cook jackets and a quiche (not at the same time!) and it's as good as the previous unit's 'true' convection feature. The advantage of this (apart from saving them a few Yen in manufacturing) is that the unit is less bulky and deep, due to not needing the bulge at the back for the fan etc.The glass turntable drive is different - the previous one had a three-pronged drive that the glass table sat on, and this one has just one drive prong. Well, I always found it easy to get the glass turntable on wrong with the three pring drive so maybe they think the single drive is better? As long as you position the glass turntable correctly the drive works fine. Finally, the fit and finish of this one is far better than our previous one - it all looks much 'sharper' and the cover fits perfectly. Both of our previous ones were made in Wales; this one was made in China. On teh two previous ones I had to re-fit the covers because they'd been assembled incorrectly...All in all a great microwave.Read full review...

Looks stylish, easy setup, a demo mode that allows you to become accoustomed to all the menus & settings without the oven starting. The oven is deceptive in size it doesn't look bulky or take up much space but it houses a large 34cm turntable which means it's large enough to hold dishes so you can feed a family. So far we have cooked pizzas that tasted better than when we oven cook, roasted a whole chicken using the auto roast program which took 42 minutes a perfectly cooked chicken in that time, is simply amazing, for the kids we made junior pasta bake with the Junior Menu which went down a storm, the combination oven really makes it easy to feed the family fresh meals every day whilst freeing up valuable time for you.The timer function is a great feature that means you can walk in to a hot meal. We have used the combination microwave oven daily since it arrived, cooking, grilling, roasting are all made really simple. I haven't owned a microwave in 5yrs counter space is valuable but this really does deserve its place, it won't just gather dust or be a fad gadget that you stop using in a week. we unexpectedly had 3 young boys join our household it really is worth its weight in gold, I've bought & discarded a lot of kitchen gadgets over the years, I'll be using this for many years to come . I was given the product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program. The microwave is the best I have ever owned (having previously owned other Panasonic microwaves). The microwave itself is well packaged and when taking it out from the box it's clear to see that this microwave is of an extremely high standard of production, it is well made and solid. The microwave has so many functions that you definitely need to read the instructions, these are however very easy to follow. I love that it can microwave and oven at the same time. I cooked some jacket potatoes and they were so easy and quick to cook using the auto programme. Simply enter the relevant auto programme and the weight of the potatoes and that is it.It calculates the time it needs to cook them and that's it. The three large potatoes in the picture took 20 minutes to cook. I have used some of the other functions like the grill and the microwave and these work well too. The stainless steel is very easy to keep clean as are the accessories such as the enamel tray and rack. Overall, whilst being expensive, it's functions, durability and solid build along with carrying the Panasonic brand makes this a worthwhile investment.

I am writing this review as I was given the microwave as part of the Panasonic Reviewer Program. This slimline stainless steel microwave looks really good on my worktop. It takes up less room but has a large 34cm glass turntable. It comes with a clear instruction book which explains how to use all the programs and settings. It even has some recipes to try. I have cooked lots of different types of food easily and quickly. I like the dial on the front which makes it easy to set the cooking time and add extra seconds without having to stop and reset the microwave. The auto programs are so simple to use by just putting in the weight and setting the auto/roast button various types of food such as jacket potatoes, pizza, chicken etc are cooked automatically. I roasted a chicken on the auto/roast program and it cooked perfectly in half the time it would have taken in my large electric oven. I also found the quick 30 second button which I have never had on a microwave before, very useful for a fast reheat. I usually only use a microwave for reheating food but now I have this one I will be cooking lots of different dishes in it every day as it is so easy to use.

I use this microwave on a daily basis: To heat milk for my daughter; to make popcorn; to cook rice; defrosting; baking potatoes etc. It's a great looking, well made, bit of kit. My only negative would be that there are a couple of sacrifices in controllability over the previous Panasonic microwave that it replaces: 1) You cannot specify time in less than 10s intervals up to 1 minute, and you cannot specify in intervals of less than 30s over a minute. This is problematic when for example you need to heat a relatively small amount of liquid. I wish I could do 35s like I could on my old micorwave. 2) The power settings are just high/med/low. What wattage is this? On my old microwave I knew that I was dialling in e.g.650W or 700W. This is useful when following some specific heating instructions. Perhaps this is not so easy with a dial control, but I think an "accelerating" control might make this possible.

I was given this product by Panasonic to review as part of the Panasonic Reviewer program and received it yesterday 1/5/2018. I immediately unpacked the appliance, read the operating instructions and put this appliance to use there and then. Needless to say, I was mightily impressed by the various functionalities of this microwave. At last, I have a microwave that accommodates my large dinner plates and they do not scrape against the inner walls of the appliance, nor does the rotating plate stop as a result of my plates being too large. I'm particularly upbeat by the fact that Panasonic provided a metal plate for grilling and convection, meaning I don't have to worry about eating my food on cracked plates. The appliance itself is easy to use and once you read the instructions, one will find that these are explained in plain English. Well done Panasonic and watch this space for another review.

This is, by a long way, the best microwave either my husband or I have ever used. It's controls are intuitive, and also give you instructions as you go along; for example, if you press the power button to get the power level you want, a scrolling message appears to say to choose the time next.It has a really big oven so that you can get big dishes in it.The baked potatoes came out all lovely and crispy if you followed the instructions in the manual. The manual comes with some good recipes too.I think we could cook everything we needed for two people with just his oven, though we would need a traditional oven for entertaining, or for Christmas meals etc.

Not tried all the functionality just yet but from first experience it seems all will be fine. Looks ok - it’s a microwave combo oven. Build quality , very sturdy, very good finish and intuitive to use. One thing that should be changed is the stand feet; the whole unit slips on the granit work surface when you push a button or door open press. A bit of research and a friend having the 800 watt version indicated that this is true if the top is granite, marble, coralex or any smoth work surfaces.

9.3.2020

Compared to any other microwave I have seen, this unit has biggest interior to exterior size ratio. We never use the manual, because the controls are either instinctive or listed on the pre-set table above the lower door cill. In common with most mains powered equipment with a time clock facility, there is no backup circuit to retain the time settings when a power cut or switch off occurs. Apart from the one little niggle above, this is a very good and user friendly microwave.

After 6+ years of hard service the old Panasonic gave up so we had no reservations in ordering the latest reincarnation of the old combi oven.. The new model has all the features of the old one just looks slightly smarter. As just a microwave or oven it's great, as a grill it takes a little getting used to but once mastered it is also a good grill. The best feature is using them in combination, the autocook options being very useful in taking the thinking out of cooking..

Replacement for elderly solo, upgraded to give more options, stayed with Panasonic as trusted brand. Microwave just like the old 1000w one - no problems. Controls easy to use. Only used convention a couple of times but quick and efficient. Some additional noise but similar to microwave buzz, no problem for me. You can see inside when door closed and working, bonus! door only opens to 90 degrees, but I don't have an issue with that. Early days but so far I'm really pleased.

9.1.2019

Chose Panasonic because of my experiences with the brand and the excellent reviews posted for this microwave. Haven't used grill function as yet but microwave and convection oven features are SUPERB Clicking noise first couple of times I used conventional oven but gone now ?! Only two slight drawbacks I have found is you have to keep pressing start button after every procedure including 'quick 30 second' operation and as mentioned by others smudges to fascia is a problem
