This Osram LED Candle Bulb offers the reassurance of a big brand but with the novelty of remote control over on/off, brightness, colour and flashing/strobe functions. I bought this bulb for a bedroom lamp so I could control it whilst in bed. The LED bulb works well except that the overall brightness in normal white light mode is okay but not outstanding.The remote is a slim credit card-sized type (albeit slight thicker) powered by a replaceable button cell (CR2025) and the range seems quite good. Despite the remote apparently being infrared it still works well even though the lampshade covers the bulb. The membrane keyboard layout is a bit busy with lots of preset colour buttons taking up most of the space.

I was just about to buy a normal bulb when I noticed this for only a couple of pound more, and I'm so glad I bought it.I've got a young baby who sometimes needs to feed in the middle of the night and this light bulb has been amazing; I can dim it to a soft green which gives me enough light to see by without overly stimulating the baby with too much light.I would say the only negative is that if you turn the light off dimmed and then back on, it comes back at full white brightness so it can be a bit of a shock in the middle of the night, but it's easy and quick to change with the remote, and I suppose if it wasn't bright then you would run the risk of not being able to find the remote...

I really like it. It's very similar to a Philips hue bulb. Just without the wireless radio. When you turn it on for the first time it's default colour is white. You can adjust the brightness from the remote. As well as turn it on and off from the remote. if you turn it off and on from the remote it will remember your selected colour. If you turn the power off and on from the light switch it will reset to white. It does about 16 different preset colours. You can adjust brightness in each. It has different modes. Like flash, strobe, smooth and mode. I personally believe it's worth the money.

I like the concept that there was a solution for the demise of the old style coloured bulbs! The Remote is easy to use. My only niggle is that I wanted a soft pink light - the colours on the remote included what looked like a nice soft pink, but in reality ranges from purple to a harsh orangey/Red so I have had to settle with it set to white. But the unit itself represents in my opinion good value for money and have had no problems with it so far, just which the colour indicators were more accurate

This is brilliant since getting this light our 5 year old doesn’t get out of bed at night. He did have a normal light but he ended up getting out of bed 100 times a night because he couldn’t sleep (but can’t go to sleep in a completely dark room) or we would go in to find him playing. The colour changing light is brilliant from the first night he went to bed and went to sleep! The remote is hand because we do need to go into the room just point it at the light.

Very good warm white colour reproduction, only has four step dimming but covers a reasonable range. the remote is a clicky type but works well at 3m. Good range of colours on RBG, in blue and green mode other colours are cast on the surface of the bulb. I have generic RBGW bulbs which dont suffer this problem. All round good replacement for a normal bulb which is as bright as standard bulb in warm white mode. Great choice if its used with a lamp shade.

It's high quality. White light is very good, but other colours are not so bright. So some people could be disappointed, but if someone is giving 1 star review is not fair. But I find this is common problem with bulbs with low wattage. My overall experience is good. So that's why 4 stars. I wish only the colour light be brighter.

Very good colours. White is quite bright but when you swith it to different colours it’s looks much darker, even yellow. All colours look realy dim compering to white. It’s good enought for a small bedroom but might be too dark for living room. Anyway I’m very happy with colour tones. Yellow / orange is beautiful.

Great little colour change bulb. It does what I expect it to do. The colours are very nice but are somewhat muted by even the opaque paper of my floor lamp. Still nice though and I guess there are higher wattages available. Mine is 3 watts I think. No problems with the functionality of the remote control at all.

Easy to use, good range of colours but the colours are not that bright. My 5 year old likes the flashing option, like a disco. We actually got it so he could have different colours on the lamp in his room and turn it off at night, as it's not by his bed. The colour options themselves are not that bright.

Found this product to be very easy to use, the colour range is great and I love the colour change options (flash, strobe for disco lights and a gentle gradient between). Paired with a plain glass lamp this made a great gift, and I'll definitely be getting a few more of these in the future - excellent!

Great product! Used in a lamp and gives a lovely gentle glow to the room. The best part is the dimmable option. Its nice to have a simple control of brightness depending on your mood. Nice range of colours and i dont see the need to pay crazy money for a phillips hue bulb when this does the same job.

Bulb works fine as advertised and is very bright on the white setting, however the colour has a yellowy tint. Other colours on the RGB also work fine, but are noticeably dimmer. Overall, good value for money and if you pair it with a cheap lamp, gives you a good desk lighting solution on a budget.

This product is great value for money and the LED light works well.It’s not as bright as a standard bulb and the range for the remote isn’t great, you can’t be more than about 70cm away.However, it does work well when you're close to it and comes with lots of colour and dimming options.

I liked the fact I now have a bulb that I can change colour with a remote myself. I dislike the fact it is a bit dull when in choosing different colours even though you can brighten it but still could be brighter. Must be the type of bulb casing (frosted) that why this happens.
