ok, they're light bulbs. They are not very bright, but they will do. I have not had them long, so can't say how they will last. LED bulbs are a lot brighter, but the cost of them is prohibitive. These are a good compromise, where the light level is not critical, like halls, bedrooms and bathrooms. Good price, worth it.
