This is a very good bulb as halogen bulbs go. The only issue with it is that the actual halogen lamp inside is a little too high up in the flame shaped glass bulb that surrounds it. In the older filament bulbs the filament would be lower down towards the widest part of the bulb which you would expect the brightest part to be. This is only really problem when the bulb is used in a smaller shade. In the lamp I am using it in the bright emitting part of the bulb is not in the central, widest part of the shade and is instead down near the bottom (or top depending on the lamp) and is thus slightly obscured making my lamp less bright than it is supposed to be.

it's starting to get difficult to get these old style halogen bulbs, so stock up.I use these as a single install in 4-off wall lights with 3-LED on a dimmer switch otherwise the bank of lights start to flicker when on full power. Have I missed the point, or are there dimmer switches that are specific for LED bulbs.

Purchased these for lady friend. I received them the very next day, well packaged. Checked all four light bulbs all working fine. Put one in her bedside lamp, brilliant, she's very happy with it. Made by OSRAM you know you're getting a good quality light bulb. Would recommend these to others.

After reading bad reviews of various unknown makes I decided to buy Osram which had good reviews. I can't say anything about longevity yet and although these are more expensive than others I give it 5 stars for value for money assuming that it last longer than the cheapos.

My order was dealt with very quickly and efficiently and the product was exactly what I wanted. I cannot however comment on the bulbs longevity as only just purchased. All in all I am very satisfied withy the product.

Standard halogen bulbs. Don't last as long as new LED bulbs or as energy efficient but are dimmable with traditional dimmable light switches (LED bulbs need a new dimmer switch which are very expensive).

Does as advertised. Delivery prompt. Unable to check life yet, first lamp didn't survive the dropped lamp test which is not unusual for any lamp. Second lamp still working.

Pleased to find these difficult to find bulbs on Amazon. Most DIY stores seem to only stock LED now and they are not as good.

I bought these for someone else a week or so ago so I can't speak to the longevity but they work great and are a good price.

Got these bulbs for my ovens extractor as the original ones had died. So far so good, nice bright bulbs. 5*

Good light from these bulbs and at a fair price. Cannot comment on longevity as have no idea yet.

For a Special 'touch' lamp. Bulbs are excellent but have to be handled very caarefully.
