This tin produces a tall cake with a "tight" footprint, and large (tall) slices that almost entirely fill a side plate. It's party size or for a large family. It would've easily produced 16 slices, not sure as some people cut themselves a dainty wedge, others a doorstop! Unfortunately the slices had far more sponge compared to the icing, an obvious thing I should've anticipated when I was nearly doubling my batter recipe but making only the same amount of buttercream as for a conventional sandwich cake. In a couple of places where not much icing had run down over the sponge, the proportions of sponge to icing was very noticeable. I also bought Nordic Ware's small version of this, ASIN B0000DE2UZ,for a small family, whose sponge to buttercream proportions feel just right. This Nordic Ware bundt tin is extremely expensive, only worth it if you use it a lot. It's well-made and sturdy, just what you expect from this brand. I've tried much cheaper bundt tins but cheap ones have less well defined ridges - is there any point having a pattern if you can barely see it? Cheap bundt tins don't seem to have such good quality non-stick whereas Nordic Ware pans give me 100% success, with no need for tools or to tap the base of the pan, just that satisfying "thud" sound/feel as it drops out of the pan - that ease of unmoulding is what you're really paying for. If there's a knack to perfect unmoulding, it's simply to grease/flour/cocoa powder extremely liberally every millimetre of the tin interior ("non-stick" is a misleading marketing term used by manufacturers). It takes forever to prep but the more complicated the tin's pattern the harder it can be to get the cake out so it's worth it.For my first attempt with this tin, I used a 6-egg cake batter. 170 degrees fan oven for 55 minutes (I preheat to 10 degrees hotter to compensate for the drop in temperature when I open the door; set timer to 50 mins for a visual check; do skewer check at 55 mins). Removed from oven and left for 10 minutes in the tin. Unmoulded onto a cooling rack. Due to its size, the sponge needs to be left to cool longer than normal before icing it. Minimal decoration's a good idea, to show off the bundt's attractive pattern.I love the handles - they help when manoeuvring the tin as it's heavy, and when turning it over to let the cake out. The tin is quite attractive, so I keep it on a wall hook on display in the kitchen.See YouTube "How to prepare your NordicWare Bundt pans for use" for the manufacturer's 10-minute demo on this specific pan, with instructions for preparing the tin, baking your cake, tin care, and tips on how to get the best results e.g. rolling the batter.

I made a Babka [a Polish Easter bandt cake] for Pentecost over the weekend and bake it in this particular bandt tin. First of all, I am very impressed with the quality of the baking tin. I like the handles on the side for easy carrying from the oven to a cooling rack, for example. The cake baked very quickly and it took 35 minutes only to bake a huge bundt cake - the Polish Babka. The cake was evenly browned and there were no hot spots. I brushed the baking tin with butter and floured it and the cake came out without any problem. I followed NordicWare's instructions - to remove the cake at 10 minutes after removal from the oven.I particularly love the shape of the baking tin. It makes slicing very easy.I cannot imagine there is a better baking tin out there to bake a Polish Easter Babka.I am going to bake an American Bundt cake this week on this bundt tin and see what happens.Thank you for making such wonderful baking tin and I will use this baking tin for many years to come.BTW: The platinum non-stick on this tin is really very good. I follow what I have been taught - never wash a baking tin - but I did wash it before I use the tin for the first time. After baking the Babka, I just use a kitchen paper towel and wipe the tin clean. What a fantastic baking tin!

Form Anniversary Cake Pan, 12 Cup (Kitchen)Bundt cakes are in this year, and I just found the most marvelous lemon bliss cake recipe. When I went to get my bundt pan, I found a big crack down the side. Must have been used as a defensive weapon. I have had this bundt pan for 30 years, so time for a new one. This bundt is made from cast aluminum with a nonstick coating. It has a 10- to 15-cup capacity, Nonstick coating and Side handles. This pan will last forever since it is made from Cast aluminum construction, and measures 10-1/2" x 10-1/2" x 4-1/2". This is not a pan you can put in the dishwasher, this is a hand wash pan. With its non Stick interior. Washing is a breeze. The most delicious tasting and looking cakes!Recommended. prisrob 01-09-17

Recently received this amazing Nordic anniversary bundt tin.My teen daughter and I just used it for the first time and absolutely love it!We made sure to brush the whole tin, every nook and cranny with melted butter and then sprinkle a little flour before pouring cake mixture in to the bundt tin.The cake is moist and dense and so delicious! We are looking forward to trying many more recipes. We have a great recipe for an apple caramel bundt cake and also a heavenly chocolate bundt cake, those will be next! The bundt tin is heavy and high quality.

Would recommend this tin - have used several times now with perfect results. Not had a cake stick (I always line with plenty of butter, have never used the cake release spray) and have always found the cake bake/rise nice & evenly (I always place tin directly onto oven shelf, never on a baking tray, to allow air to circulate in my fan oven). Perfect size for larger cake mixes, advertised as a 12 cup tin but I've found it copes with even slightly more. Good solid quality tin - I only use this brand for my bundt tins and will continue to do so. :)

I purchased the Nordic Ware Platinum bundt pan recently because I was in Scotland for several weeks and wanted to bake a much favored almond-chocolate marble cake. I had been using this model for years after wasting lots of money on cheaper, less qualitative types. This pan became the standard, for me, that I was unwilling to compromise and purchase a lesser quality while in Europe. That's how good it is. It's dependable to bake evenly, it cleans easily, it's extremely stable and with the side handles the baked cake drops out so easily.

Very happy with this tin, a simple madeira mixture can look like you have gone to a lot of trouble and effort, the result is very impressive. To fill this size of a tin you do have to increase by 1.5 your ingredients as it is large. Have only used it twice so far and if you grease the tin correctly (every nook and cranny) the cake will slide out easily. It is easy to clean afterwards.

I love this tin. It makes every cake look professional and showstopping, and thanks to the shape of it, the segments allow for people to choose whether they'd like a large slice or a slim slice of cake!A tiny bit tricky to wash, but not any more than anything else in this dishwasher age.

A great tin, give a great shape. Much better defined and contoured than 'cheaper' copies ... Give a good result if the recipe is cooked properly and instructions for tin followed. Only downside is price - it is very expensive so only worth if if regularly/professionally used

Very prompt and efficient service. I am very impressed with the bundt pan. I have used it to make a bundt cake and it was excellent, meeting all my requirements. I am convinced it will give me a lifetimes good service and pleasure. I am very happy.

A super sturdy, excellent quality pan. I don't like frosting on my cakes, so the elaborate designs work perfectly for me, as the cakes are beautiful as they are. The cake slid out perfectly. Highly recommended.

This is such a great tin for making plain cakes look elaborate. It has a quality heavy feel to it, which I always like with a cake tin. Worth paying the extra couple of quid.

Love it! Just baked a chocolate and vanilla marble bundt cake, it came out beautifully. The handles are great. This is my third bundt tin. Love them!

Nice quality, heavy baking mould. Cakes come out effortlessly and the moulding details are nice and crisp. Cleans up easily too.
