My six-month-old boy had played with some of these at his Monkey Music class, so I bought him his own. The size, shape and weight makes these perfect for little hands, and they have a more satisfying sound when shaken than some other "baby maracas" on the market. He does whack himself in the face with them quite a lot but without injury so far. These are so good that they've earned themselves a much-coveted place in our out-and-about toy bag for entertainment on the move! Would definitely recommend.

Bought these for our 6 month old baby (future rock star). They make a really captivating sound, grabs his attention and the attention of older kids straight away.The sound is very loud for their size, and very musical compared to other shakers aimed at kids.Although these aren't technically intended for babies; my son enjoys grabbing and shaking one of these like mad. Only given under supervision of course.

Great buy, I was looking for some maracas for my son (6 mnth) old, but couldnt find any meant for babies here on Amazon. Found theese instead, and they are great. Im surprised that such a small thing can produce so much sound, whenever we bring them along on a trip everyone hears us coming!
