I bought this because we had the Vtech sing along piano thing and swinging around meant broken microphone. My little one loved singing and shouting into the microphone so I looked for one she could continue her singing (if you can call it that lol) into. This I thought would be great. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad...you can kind of sing into it but it's more of a musical microphone that you sing along to rather than sing into it and hear your voice. If that makes sense.If you want music, songs, animal noises and a robust toy then yes I recommend. If like me you're after a 'microphone' then keep looking, I am.

Baby seems to enjoy this. She hasn't really gotten the hang of singing into it. I guess, being only a year old, she's not that familiar with the idea of a microphone. She thinks it's a phone. Still, she likes it and will dance to the music. It's not exactly what I had in mind, I guess, when I bought it. I thought it would have a greater selection of songs and a mode for something like karoke or something like the animals "singing." It's not exactly like that, but you know, it's a baby toy! She can make it play music, and that's good enough for her!

My son enjoys playing with this. Only down side is you have to put your mouth right on the top to hear your voice beeing distorted a little bit and because of this my son can lose interest quick. Other than that its a good little toy. Lots if music and animal noises. My son is a year old and can hold it with one hand running back and forth in the livingroon swinging it about no problem. It even withstands a good bashing on his toy box and been dropped a fair few times and still works so id say still worth a buy

I purchased this just because it was on special at the time - to my surprise this has become one of my child's favourite toys. It was a Christmas gift (age 6 months) and has been popular with him since he opened it. The instructions on the item are not really clear and v-tech customer service were not the most helpful lot, but the item itself is still great.

So this microphone is odd, you have to put your lips against the actual speaker thing, which is in the middle of the microphone & talk into the small hole, it doesn’t amplify your voice as much as id have liked it, but it’s cute seeing my girls pretend to sing !! I would definitely buy again, for a nephew or niece as they’d love it. Fun little thing.

Yes, would recommend for the different functions and quality of sound. Unsure of how the microphone actually enhances the sound; as I don't really notice much of a difference, though there is a slight distortion in voice when switched on - could be more louder or definite in sound.Otherwise good fun and for it's different uses - button selections.

Bought for my nephews 1st Birthday. He absolutely loved it. Makes lots of loud sounds which he is really into at the moment with lots of buttons to push. I thought it was a microphone of his voice too. But I’ve not been able to figure out which setting for that and the instruction manual was pretty poor. That’s my reason for 4 stars.

I bought this a few months ago and I must say it was a good choice. Since its purchase the microphone has seen a lot. My baby boy uses it in various ways (hammer, door-knocker, weapon and yes, sometimes as a microphone too) but it's still more or less intact and working. I would buy it again for sure.

Purchased this for my great niece's 1st birthday.She loves playing with it.Lots of buttons for herto press,and lots of flashing coloured lights.Admittedly,the microphone could be a little louder,but is that a bad thing?Fortunately,VTech make tough toys as my nieceinitially used it as an hammer.

Not as good as I'd hoped. Your voice is not amplified in the way I had imagined. You have to out your mouth right up against it for it to detect your voice and even then it doesn't always pick up every word. There are lots of modes and overall my sons enjoys it so worth it when it's part of a deal.

My 2 year old granddaughter loves this toy & stands in front of us & sings her wee heart out - it makes complete sense to her but it's gobbledygook to us!! It's now one of her favourite toys & I highly recommend it, not only for the fun that it gives her but for its value for money.

Purchased this product as a birthday present for my nephew. The product is fun, helps childrens develop their imaginative skills. The product is beautifully designed using primary and moving onto secondary colours, so a bit more advanced and great way to keep children entertained.

Bought as a present for a one year old who loves to sing and dance - sings along to bar bar black sheep and loves pressing the animal sound buttons - it has been bashed and dropped but still going strong (much to her mothers dispose) beem a over a month and still the favourite

My son really enjoys playing with this microphone. It's the first thing he wants to play with when he gets up in the morning and keeps him well entertained. The price is excellent and very affordable. I would definently recommend this product to my friends with young children.

I just got this for my 15 old son and he is obsessed with it. He doesn't use it as a microphone but loves all the noises/buttons.Like all of the V-Tech range it is noisy and annoying but I can put up with it as it keeps him quiet and occupied while I sort out his lunch!
