This product is clearly advertised as suitable for babies aged 12 months. Very enthusiastically I have purchased it for my 2 sons at 3 months to complement baby sensory classes. The instruments are colourful and bright and sturdily made. Most of the them are currently too big for them at their current age although at 12 months they should have no problem at all using them. The exception is the maracas which is small enough for their tiny hands to grasp and light enough for them to shake about (although they don't yet realise what they are doing!). This enables them to improve their grasp and hand strength as well as engaging several of the senses. With the other instruments,

Got this for my son (9 months) as his first Christmas present. He loves it. The drum is used more for shaking than hitting at the moment. The balls inside are static, so move around when you put it down, which adds to the fun. The jingle bells are easy to hold and make a good noise. The handled shaker is his favourite at the moment, very easy to hold for small hands. The clacking shaker makes a good noise. The larger shaker is a bit too big for him to comfortably hold at the moment. We haven't used the cd very often, but the music is nice and good to try and get him playing along. I would recommend for babies from 6 months really. These are the sorts of things used at baby music classes.

Bought this for my little one who loves music. This is a great little set as it can be difficult to get instruments for under 3s and this is for 12 months+. The instruments are perfectly sized for little hands and you get a maraca/shaker, rainbow shaker (like a mini rainstick), a drum (flat and sort of tambourine sized) and little jingle bells. There is also a CD included for baby to play along to.My little one had gotten countless hours of fun from this and just loves each instrument though I think the rainbow shaker is perhaps no 1.This would make a perfect gift for a friend or relatives baby our for your own little bundle of joy!

Although the packaging of this product looks rather drab, the contents are absolutely brilliant! I bought it as a 1st birthday present for my cousin and not only did she love the sound that each instrument made and know what to do with it instantly, she also enjoyed getting each one individually out of the box and putting it back in. The CD has very adult-friendly music, not at all annoying and this adds another dimension to the product where adult and baby can play along together.

Bought this set as my daughter enjoys using the instruments at our local wriggle and rhyme group. It’s a nice mix of instruments and my daughter (7m) instantly loved playing with them and found easy to move from hand to hand, shake and mouth - mostly the drum, bell and little maraca shaker.It would have been nice to choose the colours, however she’s happy with them as they are.Quality feels good and durable but is too soon for me to comment on this element.

I bought these for my 14 month old and she loves them. I thought the novelty might wear off and that she was using them because they were new but she plays with them all the time (especially when there's something interesting on the TV - uncanny timing!) They're really easy for her to grip and I love that they're hard plastic as she puts everything in her mouth and bites when teething so I don't have to worry about wooden toys and splinters.

Bought this for my 3 month old as she loves to listen to different sounds and it looked vreat for sensory play. She can grasp the rattle and the bells so even though it says for a first birthday, dont let that put you off. Really pleased with all the instruments. They are a good quality and will last a long time. They feel well made and produce good sounds, they do not sound cheap. Would make a great gift too as it comes in a nice box.

Was looking for a 1st birthday gift for my Nephew. My sister wanted some musical instruments for him so checked this out and wasn't disappointed.The instruments are small enough for a 1 year old to handle and play and they are big enough to make a great sound.Bright colours and easy to handle.There is also a CD with it, I haven't listened to it but I am told my Nephew enjoys playing.Great gift at a great price. I would recommend.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 4 month old. Even though the box says 12 months onwards, she loves the set. She can hold the instruments and enjoys making noise. As she's still a bit young for the whole set, we only give her one or two instruments at a time and make sure someone's there with her. Haven't tried the cd yet, but will do when she's got more control with her hands. Great set to buy as we love seeing her happy.

Lovely little gift for baby's first birthday. Could be deemed expensive as I am sure there are cheaper versions on the market. However, would recommend this product as the instruments are robust, colourful and of very high quality. Only issue I had was the drum was smaller than I wanted (it is about the size of a side plate). Minor issue really and I would recommend this item and intend to buy another for a gift in the future.

all the parts are in various edges of the house, but the cd remains, 2 1/2 years after i bought this, my kids love it, and its actually quite therapeutic for adults, i used to play it in the car before my darling son posted all my change into my cd player, now we listen to it in the living room after requests from my 2 & 4 year old... the instruments are much more expensive if bought alone, so i feel its a good deal :)

bought for my 1year old grandson who loves anything that he can shake and make a noise. He lives near the seaside so the drum was his particular favourite as it sounds like the sea.He found everything just right for his little hands,even has 1 musical instrument in each hand at times to play with. good sturdy toy that takes a lot of chucking about . Really pleased with the product.

I am so pleased I bought this for my little girl. There is a great variety of instruments and they are all bright and colourful. She loves selecting which one to play first. It also comes with a CD of songs and the child can play along to the music with the different instruments. I loved this good quality product so much that I also bought her the xylophone by halilit too.

Wow! This is lovely! Ordered for my 9 month old nephew for part of his Christmas pressie (so that he could drive my sister nuts! Hehe, isn't that what all good aunties do?! Lol)....well made, looks safe and is a good quality product with some great (potentially annoying) noises! Win/win ? Definitely a 10/10 from me! Let's just hope baby Ben thinks so too! Well done Amazon!
