Awesome unit to clean up your audio mix. Eliminate unwanted leakage into vocal mics with the Optogate. Simply uses IR to detect the presence of a singer in it's adjustable range. I have used expanders, but sometimes loud stage volumes can still open the expander more than I like.My only gripe is that the the plate labels say PB-05 without any letter designator such as the E or M. I own both. The E only works with dynamic mics as it doesn't pass phantom power. Fortunately I realized the XLR connectors are black on my E series and green on the M. Wish they would have just laser engraved it with the rest of the model number

Excellent way to clean up a mix when gates are too slow
