At the end of March 2009 I purchased McAfee VirusScan Plus 2009 - 1 user (PC).The instructions seemed reasonably clear. However, I had problems downloading updates, in that the animated update icon would not disappear from the taskbar; this meant that updating was still not complete. I emailed the Customer Support Team, who replied promptly. It turns out that a FAST internet connection is required to completely download updates, and I am a dial-up dinosaur! The Support Team suggested that I get a faster connection.I did not do this, but instead changed to another antivirus product which provides regular updates in small parcels of a few kilobytes.My complaint is that McAfee's System Requirements do not state clearly that a fast internet connection is necessary.

have had endless problems getting this product to register at all and then only for my old email address. this was a subscription renewal and i did the same last year with no trouble. this time it has been a waste of time.
