Hot Wheels has been on the Christmas list for children for years. I remember when I was a young child (many, many years ago) receiving Hot Wheels cars and tracks and playing with my brother for hours.This 'City Gator Garage Attack' is one of five play sets that increases the playability of Hot Wheels cars and has been designed to work with the Hot Wheels orange track.These play sets have a positive effect on a child's imagination, our granddaughter is fantastic at imaginative play and this set (together with the others in the range) and plenty of track keeps her amused for hours. In fact I've even noticed my 21 year old son having a sneaky play when he's daughters gone to bed.This particular set consists of a bright green alligator that lives in the blue and orange Gator garage.

Our son loves Hot Wheels, he has a huge loop the loop, shark mouth garage which he spends loads of time shooting cars around and has wanted the Gator Garage ever since he saw it on the product leaflet which came with his bigger set.As with other Hot Wheels sets in this series the idea is to whizz your car around and avoid the 'traps' - in this case a set of gator jaws. As other reviews have said though to make it worthwhile you do need to have some track to work with the set in order to make it work best. We have also found that the trigger for the gator mouth can sometimes not work. I would say it's good about 80% of the time but now and again you don't get the result you want and have to do it manually.

This is an absolutely amazing and fun set, I LOVE the idea of these new city sets having animals that come and snap at cars and cause chaos as the drive past! There's several you can collect and these have to be used with existing Hot Wheels sets/ tracks. My son loves crocodiles and dangerous animals and dinosaurs so this is his dream set - he's already excited to add more to the Track, especially the Shark one that is also available.It's easy to set up, the Trigger is a bit hit and miss at times and could be designed better to work every time - you end up fiddling a lot trying to activate the Crocodile and this is disappointing for a set that costs £20 - it's an expensive but amazing add-on - if it worked every time.This would get 5 stars if it was a reliable Croc trigger!

Another nice add-on part for a larger track combination although obviously it can be played with by itself however play is limited if just playing with this smaller add-on.My Son loves Hot Wheels and has quite an extensive Hot Wheel city going on in his bedroom and so this has added to it well.He loves the Gator which is hiding behind the garage door but when the car knocks one of the two red pressure buttons the gator comes bursting out of the garage.There is also a lift and two garage arms that can be moved to simulate the cars being worked on.The set also comes with a car so that play can begin straight away and the one that came with my Son's was a bright green with a see-through effect.A

This is a great addition to your existing Hot Wheels set;it's not meant to be used just on its own.The idea is that when the Hot Wheels car passes the garage,a huge alligator mouth leaps out and grabs the car.We found that the mouth operation was a bit hit-and-miss;sometimes it worked right,other times it didn't,but strangely this didn't seem to bother the children at all;their imaginations came into play and they enjoyed playing with it even if it didn't always work out how it was supposed to.Took me back to the old days when toy cars didn't even go by themselves;we just pushed them along and went "Brmm brmm",and we were perfectly happy.

We’ve got a number of these City Sets are they can be great fun. They are not stand alone items as you need track and the ability to add it to your existing track. They can be a bit hit or miss in terms of how well they work and how cool they are. This one gets top marks for coolness - a garage that has an open jawed gator jumping out to eat you! However for how well it works it’s a bit hit or miss and that’s why we’ve given it 4 rather than 5 stars. Although it’s relatively easy to set up the trigger for the gator didn’t work every time. But maybe that’s part of the fun? Overall a great idea with inconsistent execution.

As with other Hot Wheels City play sets that we have tried, the switches do release the monster, unless you press down on the car. The weight of the car is not enough on its own. Most young infants will not mind this, especially with this set. What makes this set a bit more fun is that you can manipulate the gators jaws by moving its body, after the building has opened. The plastic is durable and will outlive a child's interest. The free car included was different from the one pictured.The City sets encourage more hands on play, which is what makes them more suitable for younger ages.

You can't go wrong with a Hot Wheels set, one of a range of different creature sets designed to interconnect with one another by purchasing additional set as well as additional sections of track. This one features a hidden big bad Alligator ready to snap its jaws shut on cars daring enough to venture too close. Supplied with one die cast hot wheels branded car. Well made, more of the same if you already own one of these, decent value for money, make a great gift for any fan.

My nephew is a big fan of Hot Wheels so was happy to test this one out. It is not really a stand alone toy as you need other sections of track to get the full effect. But this one has a crocodile that appears and tries to swallow the supplied car, much to the amusement of all. It’s on the pricey side for something that is not stand alone, but if you’ve already got other bits to add it to its great fun.

This is a fun addition to any Hot Wheels track, and comes with one car. As with most add-ons for Hot Wheels set-ups, this is essentially a means to launch a car at speed onto the track -- so it's good fun, although needs to be used as part of a larger setup rather than being a play set in its own right. Enjoyable.

My son loves Hot Wheels and loves this set. You roll the car (included) over the bump and out pops a gator to eat your vehicle. It's all good fun but the bumps didn't work a few times so it can be a bit frustrating and whilst it can connect to your other sets you need to buy additional track as it's not included.

most kids love these sets that all work together and do always have at least a single vehicle in the set-well made and great detailed action kits that are not too expensive.

Very well made with impressive attention to detail. It's made from good quality materials and can withstand a good amount of child-inflicted abuse!
