We've had the black Lanky Cat since last Christmas. It certainly has a lot of character and looks cute. It was an instant hit with my daughter and became one of her favourites, (she loves cats).A few months ago some of the stitching came undone from the spine so it has a little hole in, none of the stuffing has escaped but it needs to be sewn up. To be fair it has been played with a lot, but still, other toys have managed to remain unscathed after a lot of play. I also think it could do with a little more stuffing as it's very limp, especially the upper spine area which has no stuffing at all. The paws are a different matter;well packed and heavy,good for playing drums with!The big eyes are obviously a part of what gives this toy it's character but they are also prone to getting bashed and marked. The eyes on ours look a bit glazed with all the scratches. They make good weapons too; very hard if you get hit with them, for this reason I'd say Lanky Cats are better for slightly older or well behaved children, rather than toddlers, as they should ideally be treated well and not thrown around.Apart from the hole and the bashed eyes the rest of the coat has kept quite well. The material is still soft and very black. It's surface clean only, but we haven't seemed to need to wash it much. Overall I'd say this is a good toy, it's been much loved, not as popular now as it was a year ago but was revived at Halloween and is still liked.

This was bought by my friend on the arrival of my son. It had been sitting on my wish list for quite some time looking all adorable with its big green eyes ... however the photo is slightly deceptive. When my friend presented this to my newborn I'd noticed that instead of those cute adorable eyes this little stuffed toy had somewhat of a demonic look about it, due to the eyelids drooping over slightly. Being new to motherhood I had thought this would maybe be the stuff of nightmares for my "little bundle of joy", nothing could be further from the truth and in fact is a rather fitting "familiar" for my little imp, giving him something to cuddle/hit me with when nothing short of an exorcism will settle him.**update even after 2.5yrs of toddler abuse this wee cat is holding up strong and still very much loved by my son. My friend who had bought him the cat and myself have both found out within a few weeks of each other that we're expecting (spring time) so that'll be a couple more lanky cats to add to the collection :-)

*This review is for the cat, not the seller*After unfortunately reading some books at bedtime that caused my littlest to have some nightmares about wolves, 'The House Fairy' dropped by and left this kittie for her, with a note advising how he chased bad dreams away. Now she sleeps every night with him draped on her neck. He IS machine washable-he unfortunately got sicked-upon one night and had to be put in the machine (hand washing just doesn't cut it at times like this), he came out fine albeit with one eye scratched, but smelling better. I'd advise putting him on a synthetic wash stitched up in a pillow case for protection.I'm wondering about investing in another one...just in case.

My 2 year old loves cats, he has a few cats and he loved the lanky jellycat but you couldn't really see his face too well so I decided to purchase this one when he was ill and feeling upset, when we got him he was so happy, his best feature is his realistic beautiful green eyes, they impress even adults, he is super soft and just as cute as the picture, he is small enough to squeeze in any bag so he always has his little companion out and about where ever we go, he has hardly any stuffing in his tummy so he is easy for my son to grab, these really are the cutiest little friend for any cat lover, young or old, boy or girl, five stars, great product and value for money.

Purchased in January 2016 and this black cat, now renamed Luna, along with two others I purchased are all like new, with there beans still in the same places!Only Luna has two scratches on her left eye, but all have been washed numerous times and survived the rough and rumble of life with children, throwing them across the room ect.My Daughter sleeps with Luna still and says Luna prefers to sleep on her back because she looks happier and she definitely doesn't look as sad as the others.??Can highly recommend these Lanky Cats for quality, no repairs have been made on any.Only the fluffy ginger tabbie cat (renamed Charlie) isn't available in 2020

I bought this item not because it is a perfect replica of a cat but because it looks like a sad little cat that needs to be loved, and honestly from the moment I opened the box I fell in love with him. I'm not really that big on stuffed animals to be honest, but I wanted him for my desk at work. He's adorable and very very soft. Myself and some colleagues think hes fantastic and because hes understuffed we can move him around our desks and change his pose every now and again. In all hes a wonderful little product and a nice addition to our working days.

I ordered 3 of these (all different: Ziggie, Charlie and Georgie - now Moe) months ago and just noticed I hadn't given any feedback. I loved the cats! My kids are totally delighted! They are totally adorable! Delivery was quick and easy - no complaints there!The quality is good, they're living up to wear and tear perfectly. They've been up and down and travelled here and there and they still look brand new! They are all I expected and am certainly not disappointed. My kids talk to them, play with them and my daughter also sleeps with hers!

I bought this cat for my girlfriends Xmas, when i received it in work i put it on my shoulder and my colleagues thought it was real.It has now got a play mate as my girlfriend thought it was so cute i had to buy her another one, this one is "MOE", for valentines day so now i get two cats attacking me in the night aaaaaaaaaaag.Anyway this product does the job and for the people who stitch its ears back STOP BEING SO CRUEL the RSPCA will be on to you LOL.Buy this cat and you will probably keep on buying them. so i give it a 5 out of 5.

This cat is so cute that it is guaranteed to win your heart (or the heart of your girlfriend, like in my case :)). It was much bigger than I expected it to be, but it was definitely worth every cent.I had this sent as a gift to my girlfriend and she totally loved it. I usually only buy "Nici" stuffed toys, this was my first ever purchase of "Manhattan Toy"... and this won't be the last! My girlfriend said it looks like a real cute cat :).You want to win over someone? Send them this cat, gift-wrapped :).

I'll start by saying I bought this whennit was about £14 not the normal price of almost £20 which I thought was far too expensive for it.The toy is lovely, the floppy middle design is great and makes it so different to other soft toys. The fabric is very soft and cuddly. Overall this has been a huge hit.I'm happy enough having purchased it at the price above, its definitely more than I'd normally spend on a soft toy of this size but in this case it seems worth it.

I was looking for a soft cat for my daughter 18mths who's cat mad........at first I baulked at the price but decided to get it anyway....so glad I did it is adorable, The cat was dispatched the same day and was very well packaged, my daughter loves it, it is easy to hold and she just loves the eyes. In fact my 5yr old son was very upset I didnt order him one as he likes it too. The other reviewers are right you wont stop at 1. off to order my son one right now.

Ordered this for my sister, she is very pleased with it. Very soft and cute.ALSO, I USED THE GIFT ORDERING SERVICE WITH WRAPPING BY AMAZON, she was very impressed with the wrapping, tissue paper and ribbon and no price included on the invoice. I will definitely use this option again for gifts, the cost is well worth it and saves a long queue at my local post office to post expensively. Arrived less than 18 hours after ordering via Amazon Prime.

The little cat looks cute and funny! :) Just as expected when seeing the picture here at amazon. Its "fur" is very soft; the paw sections are filled with some "beans" or whatever. Overall - very good quality.It also makes a nice present, people all seem to like it, they laugh at the cat when they see it. I bought 2 cats, each one had a slightly unique look. But the differences were small and they both look very nice.

I bought this for my daughter for Xmas, it has lovely soft fabric, cute face, almost realistic eyes, but best of all is the way it's stuffed, it's floppy and long so you can drape it over things and position it to look like a real cat. My daughter loves it and so do I- I've been hinting for one already! You can get various colours but I thing Ziggy is the best. Recommended for any soft toy or cat fans.

Cute, skinny, little fellow - everyone's new favourite friend. Not sure how robust he is - when he arrived he had a small hole in his side I needed to stitch up, so he wasn't perfect and if he was for a young child I would have thought twice about letting them play with him just incase.That said, as a novelty toy gift that is going to sit quietly on a teen's shelf for most of the time, he is fine.
