We were given this toy for our baby when he was newborn as a gift. Initially our baby used to enjoy listening to the lovely sounds this toy makes when you move it around. As he grew older he loved to grab hold if and give it a shake himself. Now at 15 months old he loves shaking it around and throwing it about - luckily it is very durable. As with most toys, they get played with then forgotten about for a bit - that happened to this one but each time it is found again it is enjoyed once more.Pros -Lovely sounds from the wooden bits hitting each other.Great for little fingers to grab hold of.Durable.Baby will keep loving it when getting older.Cons -Not a toy that will hold attention for verylong at one time.I did worry when baby was newborn and putting things in his mouth that the bits could come off and be a choking hazard (as all mothers do) but it proved me wrong and turned out to be incredibly durable. All in all this toy has been a great piece in baby's collection that has stood the test of time, although not providing hours and hours of entertainment I would still recommend it, especially if buying as a gift.

It looses a star as when a gift is sent for a new born child, presentation counts, for the price of this toy, a nice box would of been ideal, not just a tag loose as well as the toy, it's a great toy, for new born, it has 2 sliding beads in the middle on both the middle main poles holding the structure together, so it moves and makes a knocking sound when landed, if held above the baby's head, they can look at the shape, and hear the sound, when they start to see colour this will help them focus when placed gently side to side above their sight. , it looks like a piece of art and one you would on the guard from , but in fact it's a baby child's toy, it folds down flat when pressed and rebounds back into shape,it comes with many choices of shapes and colours bold, natural, pink pastel, it has the pull string as the baby learns to point and touch, before they learn to grab. And when a little older helps with hand holding, grasping hand eye co ordination , it can't get broken and its a great learning rattle tool for adults and baby and the child will want to touch it every time they see it,

When a friend brought this for my then 2 months old baby, I was highly sceptic, and worried that she might choke on it, or poke it in her eye. Instead it has provided countless concentrated minutes of fun (and minutes are a long time in my little girls world). The bright colours immediately attract her attention, and the wooden balls provide for a soft clinking sound that she really likes. Since she can both grab hold of the straps and the wooden poles, she can always pick it up again if she drops it.Because of the straps, she cannot put it far enough in her mouth for it to be a chocking hazard (although I'd never let her play with it unsupervised), and I don't think she'll poke her eye out with it any longer, now that her coordination has improved somewhat. The latest thing she's begun doing is toss it, and laugh at the sound! Very cute and I firmly expect it to last many more months.

When Elise was born, we got the family skwish, which has been in the family for over eight years now, as a welcome present. Although it has been used by 3 kids before her, it still looks and works as new. She enjoys it tremendously, it is one of her favourites. From the first weeks when it was lying beside her in her crib because she liked to watch the colours until today: now she's 6 months and the fun thing about skwish is that it is so easy to grab for her little hands. We like it as well, because it is nicely made and fun to handle, so when she isn't playing, we sometimes play with it. It will certainly be used for a long time, and after Elise her siblings or cousins will continue to enjoy this fabulous toy!

Firstly, this arrives in a sealed plastic bag rather than a box so it’s not very impressive looking if you’re buying it as a gift. That said, the baby I bought this for didn’t care and loves this little toy. It’s a good size, bigger than I was expecting (about the size of a cantaloupe) and feels well made.My own daughter has a few toys from this manufacturer so I knew it would be good quality. It’s a pity the packaging isn’t that impressive because this really is a great toy that an infant will play with well into toddlerhood and beyond. Just the kind of toy I’d like to receive for my kid. It’s a robust and sturdy toy that is open ended enough to allow for imaginative play when they get to thatage.

This is such a beautiful toy. I bought it for my neice, who turned one, but I feel as though it can be enjoyed by children of all ages. It's very interactive/ stimulating for the senses because the sliding wooden beads make a nice hollow sound, almost like a rainmaker. I think it's great for teething because the wooden ends are a nice size, and the wood isn't easily dented. The elastic is very sturdy, so I don't think there is any chance of it loosening. The colours are so vibrant and it just feels like a high-quality item. Because of this purchase, I have fallen in love with the brand. I paid £14, and definitely feel it was well worth the money, because she loves it!

The Skwish is just wonderful, bright and light, easy for a 4 month old to hold and pass between hands, I even love the sound that the little wooden beads made sliding around. Something akin to a very quiet wooden wind chime. Baby even uses it with her feet, we thread soft toys through it, we roll it but it doesn't go too far which makes it ideal for baby to start reaching for. Encouraging learning to roll and tummy time. It gets chewed but because of the elastics cannot go far into the mouth. The person who designed this is a genius.Obviously a classic baby toy. So much to enjoy and discover when using it.

Well made, colourful and a source of investigative and explorative fun for an inquisitive baby... and inquisitive parents too! It’s described as a ‘rattle’ but it’s not really; the beads bounce off of the strings before they get to the wooden stoppers when they slide up and down, so there’s no ‘clacking’. However, this is no bad thing as it means your baby can play with it for a long time and it won’t get on your nerves. The design means that it can be squashed, pushed and pulled, and when it is shaken the colourful sliding beads draw your baby’s attention. A clever little toy.

A lovely gift or toy for your baby. My little girl is 4 months old and reaching and grabbing things, another friend had one of these and thought we would get one. She loves it, there are so many places to grab hold and put in her mouth, it makes noise whenever it is turned and the moveable knots keep her attention as she plays with it. Even when it is thrown across the room through excitement it just bounces. I don't leave home without it, it goes in the car or pram and keeps her entertained.Would definitely recommend and will be buying as a gift for my pregnant friends!

A great toy for young babies.○ Before our baby could reach out or hold things rolling this around slowly in front of him was very exciting (for him!).○ As he learnt to reach out and grab this was the easiest thing to keep hold of as he could grab the strings or wood and it was easy to keep hold of.○ He learnt that only the ends could be chewed on so he learnt to manipulate it to get the ends in his mouth. The design means that he can't get more than the tips in to chew. All round a great toy and I'll be buying it as a present for other people's babies.

I was bought this for my son when he was first born. I would not have chosen it myself, and was so happily surprised as this turned out to be my son's favourite baby toy. Although it is quite big, it is very light and easy for a baby to grab with the thin elastic parts. It was the first toy that my son was able to pick up. It has a lot of uses, because a baby cab shake it and squeeze it flat and it makes a lovely clunky wooden sound when you shake it. I love it so much that when my friend had a baby, it was one of the few things that I bought for her.

this is a great, simple wood and string toy that makes the most quiet, pleasant wooden-chime sort of noise when shaken. this is from the round wooden beads sliding up and down the straight bars. it's easy for tiny hands to grab at any point, and no worries for those little teeth and gums - perfectly safe. i like the fresher colours of this version than the classic one, having seen both in the stores before i bought. sadly, my only regret is that i think i like the toy much more than my 9-mo old son.

Very imaginative and inventive with endless learning possibilities. I can see our little girl - seven months old - playing with this for many a year to come. There is so much to do from squashing/ throwing/ chewing it to eventually counting the different coloured beads/ sticks, spotting the patterns and spotting the different shapes the connecting strings make.Once she has had all of the play she wants out of it, it would make a very nice decorative item to have displayed on a shelf.

This is a huge hit with all ages but especially with babies. Both my little girls found it easy to pick up, in fact it was the first toy either showed any interest in and managed to get hold of on their own. It has so many places for them to grab that they can't miss and it makes nice wooden sounds when shaken. The colours really attract a babies attention, my youngest at 3 and a half months can't take her eyes off it, and I make sure all my friends get one for their new babies.

We got it as a gift from one of my colleagues, her son was so smitten with it that she now buys it for all friend's babies. My son is 3.5months old and just learnt how to pick things and he absolutely loves it. However he also started teeting and tries to bite everything and anything, and as much as this toy is so much fun, I am slightly concerned he will poke himself in the eye. I don't think it's dangerous but possibly he's still too young for toys like that.
