Jury's out on the Keyless chuck supplied.I wanted to perforate single skin brick with sufficient holes so I could chisel through the rest. Initially started with a masonry bit and chuck attachment. took 40mins to drill, but didn't give the drill bit much attention. Had a 25mm hole saw + arbor, but the arbor was simply poor.Eventually took the plunge and bought a set of 5 SDS + drills by Makita. Into the SDS+ chuck and WHAM....like knife through butter.And this is where I've knocked a star off. I couldn't figure out at what stage of the drilling does the hammer action kick in from the percussion. DOes the chuck have to be pushed in for it to respond?There was damage to brick work on the other side.

Makita have a good reputation for quality and durability. Good hammer action takes the effort out of drilling tough bricks, just don't apply too much pressure to the drill, let the hammer action do what it's been designed to do.Hammer action without rotation - again good hammer action coupled with a fairly lightweight drill makes chiseling easy and effortless. The keyless chuck is a great addition to allow use of twist drills and spade bits.Good length of flex gives a decent working range from the power socket/extension reel.It comes in a hard plastic carry case, which provides protection as well as a good carrying aid.Nice basic set of drills and chisels kept in a strong aluminium case.

Can take on most jobs. Hammer function can be adjusted depending on what material you're working on. Long power cord. Carry case could be better quality but the drill itself is ideal for home DIY.

If anybody tells in the review that this is a bad product, they must have been paid to say so!It is a very good SDS and months after this purchase I'm not changing my mind

I bought this about a year ago but never had cause to use it until now I'm amazed at how easily I drilled 3 holes into brick. It was like drilling through butter.

Does exactly what it says on the tin the chisel tool makes life so much easier ... jobs completed in a fraction of the time. Deliverd as quoted and on time.

It's 10 times better than Bosch but unfortunately this product its not made in Japan. It's made by East eu.But it is very powerful i would recommend %100

Good all rounder, plenty of punch, excellent for every job (I did some diamond drilling in brick 117mm eat-it!)
