Had a Black and Decker hammer drill, big and bulky, while i was drilling some masonary holes the chuck sheered off completly. So being a Bosch and Makita fan i looked for another hammer drill and elected to purchase the Bosch Easy Impact 550. I am glad i did, it arrived next day of ordering and drilled the holes in the masonary i was working on like drilling through butter. Its easily 2/3rds the size of the Black and Decker and lighter and easier to operate.A very powerful piece of equipment.

Bought to replace very old drill bought 34 years ago as wedding present which served its purpose but really struggled to drill through walls.This drill is perfect for the small jobs it was required to do. Not sure it would be as useful for the experienced handyman. Got through masonry wall fairly easily and works well as a screwdriver too. Light enough to hold . Keyless chuck can be a bit hit or miss at times. Drill bit often came away whilst drilling. Would buy again.

Bocsh are a well known company and they've lived up to their reputation on this. Bought it as I'm decorating our cottage and needed a drill to put a frame up around our chimney breast. This made the job very easy indeed. The holes were perfectly drilled, very comfy to use and comes in a nice tough box. This will last me a long-time and will get plenty of use as I go from room to room.

Chose this an an upgrade & I wasn't disappointed! In fact, I was extremely pleased at how easy to use it was in comparison to my inherited Drill! It not only acts as a hammer drill, but also a driver too! I like the adjustable extra handle which really helps with positioning & keeping straight! Really happy with my purchase & looking fwd to completing much better DIY jobs from now on!

Drill has a keyless chuck, tighten by hand. Powerful, fast motor without having to recharge, a problem with batteries. I have drilled holes to fit rawl plugs in a wall and the motor worked smoothly. Their is also a hammer impact switch. Screw driver can be used in forward and reverse. Bosch easimpact is a useful home diy job tool. Complete with a plastic storage box.

Not a bad price for a Bosch drill you have hammer mode and drill mode it does state you can tighten screws with it but I wouldn’t recommend this as if you pull the trigger in a moment of excitement you’ll find not only have you rounded of the head but now the screw is only half way in and it’s a nightmare to get out Overall good though does the job it drills

This is the perfect drill for me (elderly female), quite light to handle but with a lot of power. My property is notoriously difficult to drill, DIYers no longer want to know me. This little drill, using hammer, has managed all my small jobs e.g. new hanging basket brackets and shelf. I think if I can get on with this tool anyone can.

Having lost my drill and needed a replacement in a hurry, I found this one on the Argos web site, great price and great performance, simple to use as has variable speed and hammer action, I definitely recommend this product, I also went for Bosch twist bits and screwdriver attachments to match which are also of excellent quality.

My electric drills only get light use so tend to last me a long time. My last Black & Decker was over 30 years old but sadly expired when using it recently. I bought this drill as it was similar in spec to the last one and it has proved to be light and easy to use. It is comfortable to hold and use too.

Very good mid priced range drill. 2nd time I've purchased this item. 1st one gave up after several years and a LOT of usage. So I just purchased the same one again knowing that it was as good as it was. Really can't find any faults.. Comes with a very good hard plastic case as well.

Affordable power drill bought to do diy home jobs . Perfect for jobs at home . Two points the Chuck is a little difficult to tighten requires both hands and it could do with a variable speed dial although you can control via the trigger . With that said I would recommend this drill .

Checked prices around area and argos was cheapest and nearest to collect from. Drill is powerful and did the job in hand and re paces a Black and Decker which was 24 years old, was my late dad's and cost £94all them years ago. The drill storage box is a tight fit and will be going.

Good little drill reasonably priced have used it twice since purchase and found no problem with the operation of the hammer drill also excellent for drilling bigger holes which being powered by electric made the job so easy which would have been impossible with a cordless version

Bought this after my own cordless drill and a friend's 'fancy' cordless drill could not of love nor money go through my brick wall before the next ice age. This managed to do the job in 10 minutes. Very very satisfied. Would have been nice if it came with the drill bits included.

The drill is nice, it's a lot smaller than I imagined, but feels powerful. The chuck is quite difficult to tighten, a few occasions where I've been drilling into a wall it's come a bit loose and the bit has stuck still in the wall while the drill keeps spinning.
