Ok this ink may not be exactly equal in terms of quality to some of the higher end HP inks but at literally a 5th of the price the value more than makes up for being short on high end quality. Please don't get me wrong for every day use this ink is perfect and I even use it combined with glossy paper to print photographs and the quality is very good just not what a professional photographer would use for prints. But for the average household this is perfect.I used to use HP printers and inks and a lot of the time replacement ink cost more that what the printer did and a lot of the time I found myself writing pages and pages of text as I didn't want to use my HP printer if I didn't have to.Where as now I can happily print whatever I like because the Kodak ink is so cheap when compared with others. Some might think because it falls a little short in high end quality it should only get 4 stars but the value for money trumps that for the average person.

I am just editing my original review. I still agree that the price for the cartridges is indeed the cheapest I have been able to find - although they used to be £15 for the set not £18+ as they are now. Like the other reviewer though I find that I am having to replace the cartridges more frequently. My combi printer is around 18 months old. Since I put in a full set of cartridges about 2 months ago I have printed 3 small (4 x 6) photos, two colour sheets for decoupage, a few other items containing a little colour, and around 10 sheets of b/w (not solid text documents though). This works out very expensive indeed so I won't be using it to print any photos again.I also feel that the colour does not reproduce accurately to the original. It's a big disappointment as I bought this printer primarily for lower cost and good colour when printing off items for cardmaking.

Don't waste your time on fake cartridges. Use the real deal. I have always used Kodak cartridges until the very last time I got some, when I got compatible ones. Unfortunately the ink dried, clogging up the print heads, and I've now used an entire set of genuine cartridges just running the printer through its cleaning cycle, with the black print head still showing no signs of improvement. When you use compatible cartridges in a printer with integrated print-heads (i.e. Kodak, Epson) rather than one where the print-head is part of the cartridge (e.g. HP), it's a false economy and you will end up wasting more ink or replacing your printer.Do yourself a favour and buy these genuine cartridges - I should never have stopped using them!

The product is excellent and the seller's response was first class too. It is Amazon as a platform I have a real issue with. On purchase there was more intent on getting me signed up for the prime service than selling me the product. That confused me and I ended up ordering the item twice which ended with me having to pay £3.10 for return postage. To rub salt into my wound I am being bombarded by phone calls from Amazon telling me my prime service is running out. I had two calls today within two hours of each other. This has been on-going for weeks now and I am going to seek advice from the local police on how I can stop this intrusion.Needless to say I will do all in my endeavour never to use Amazon again.

Order this every time as it saves me money and these cartridges are so economic, easy to fit and I love the Kodak system it's so cheap and suits me in every way. Not sure yet if cartridges last a little less time than other dearer cartridges but don't care too much they cost a lot less and so initial lay out seems less and if that means I think I am getting a better deal that will do for me. I am sure someone out there has done a test and seen which cartridge lasts longer but I am happy not knowing.Usually delivered very quick but took a bit longer this time probably because of Christmas.Recommend 100% and will be back to order my next cartridge.

I've had plenty experience with different inks and printers over recent years and some lead to stressful times. However, with the Kodak printer I now have, I find the colours and the printing much better compared to Epson and HP printers I have dealt with previously. I print photos for sale which, if not printed correct first time, then start to have an impact on expenditure. I have less issues with Kodak.Much like other printers and ink cartridges, when printing photos you never really get much for what you pay but I would recommend buying genuine products rather than the cheap alternatives that can be found online.

I honestly don't know what planet some of you guys are living on. I had an HP All in One printer before I bought my Kodak ESP9 All in One and I can tell you for certain that my cartridge expenditure has dropped by over 50% since buying the Kodak. No these cartidges may not last as long as the HP56, but when you are paying less than a quarter of the price, this cartridge is an exceptionally good deal. It even compares very well with my Lexmark printer, which costs over £[] for combined black and colour cartridges and lasts no longer than the two Kodak cartridges at half the price. I'll take Kodak cartridges every time.

I have bought the Kodak combo pack repeatedly from Amazon sellers. They lasts me longer than any printer ink I have ever bought. I purchased the Kodak printer about 2 years ago because the company promised more prints for less money and it certainly delivered that promise. I used to spend a packet on ink cartridges but now I save a lot of money. Sellers on Amazon are selling them cheaper than anywhere else on the internet or the high street so I save ever more. If you want to make these Kodak cartridges last even longer, change the printer setting to draft when the documents are not so important.

Don't be fooled by all the moaners. The ink for the Kodak printer I have (ESP5250)is good value for money. I have just spent £16 and for the previous (equivalent) HP machine I had it would have cost me £40.Don't forget the printer is sub-£100; if you want something more hardwearing then spend £200.Yes, there is an excellent Canon printer which is sub-£100 and the ink lasts an age, but the machine has no scanner. If you want something simple and do not wish to spend all day printing, Kodak is fine. However if you want to print your own photos then I suggest you go to Boots

These took about 5 days to come from Jersey. They are genuine Kodak cartridges, so fit perfectly and work well. They were packed well and included a freepost envelope to recycle the old cartridges. Some people have commented on the life of these cartridges but the life expectancy quoted by Kodak is for mixed colour text pages of 5% coverage so you would only expect 30-50 photographic quality prints. I think we get about 25 full colour A4 prints on gloss paper - that's still only 30p ink per picture. You would never expect to get 400 full photos from 20ml of ink!

... however, the inks are still bright and beautiful as long as the printer has the correct drivers to interpret the image it's trying to generate. When using the printer in wireless mode, it somehow acquired substandard drivers and thus caused the resulting degradation in performance which I mistakeny took as a defect in the print cartridges. I am now hardwired and connected directly by USB and everything works great!Updated to 4 stars (up from 3) as promised, it proved to be worthy of better! FTR, I'm using a Kodak Printer series 5250.

I thought I'd save a few quid and purchased a double set of 2 blacks and 2 coloured compatible cartridges. The blacks worked OK but the colour cartridges died after a short time without use. With regard to genuine Kodak, and other makes, I wish I knew how they manage to get so little ink in these cartridges - surely it would be cheaper, considering the sophisticated design to give cartridges a greater ink capacity. However, all printer manufacturers want to maximise on the sale of consumables - what do I know about it?

If you have the misfortune to own this printer, these cartridges are exactly the same as any original item. You'll waste paper (so far 20 sheets a4, and still not printing solid colours)You'll waste time, and electricityYou'll probably vow never to trust kodak, or buy their products again.Silly kodak, why can I not clean my print heads manually, why put so little ink in these expensive, wasteful polluting non refillable cartridges. Not sure if it's just kodak, but they're the ones that claim you'll save on ink......

19.5.2013

i have had a kodak esp 5 printer for some years and use it often. these cartridges are very easy to click into place. the printer tells me when i am running low on inks.nothing could be easier. i bought these from amazon as the price was good. i shop around for them and in the past have bought them "as i've seen them" especially when they are on offer.i suspect that all printer inks are expensive but these give good results (i print lots of photos). a pity that they are not refillable.

The combo pack contains a black cartridge and a colour cartridge for the Kodak 3250 printer and which forms part of Kodak's push to advertise their printer range as cheaper than other mainstream brands. Changing cartridges in printers is normally pretty straightforward and these are no exception. The cartridges work well but either due to increased printing through exceptional print quality or the print process using much ink I seem to use quite a lot of cartridges.
