Very easy to install and the print quality is good. I'm not sure why people are saying these aren't the official ones - the one I've bought definitely is. I've listed the full list of compatible printers at the end of the review, use Control+F to find if your printer is on the list but always make sure you check the official website for a more up-to-date list.I print out maybe 40 pages at a time when I use my printer and this is still half full after a month or so! Pleasantly surprised. Expensive (compared to printer price) but good product. We've tried a number of non-HP refills but none seemed to work consistantly and quite a high percentage were DOA.Tip: We ensure our HP black and HP colour ink cartriges last a very long time by changing the default printer settings to 'black ink only' and 'draft' printing (which is as good now as 'normal' was a few years ago). That way each print job automatically prints with those settings. If we need colour and/or normal/best printing, we change the settings just before printing on a case by case basis. Black ink only and draft works 95+% of the time for our needs, hence these as our default settings. Worth the search in the 'Start' menu, then 'control panel', then printer options or settings (settings vary by OS). Look for 'draft' option and change to default, then look for the 'advanced' button/tab to change the other default to 'black ink only' (may be a pull down menu item). Be persistant, the printer manufacurers are sneaky in hiding these setting changes. They want you to use your ink quickly so you have to change cartridges more often - that's how they make most of their money (consumable revenue stream). Good luck!

My HP Envy printer decided to only print text in a pale greyish blue. Colour prints came out missing the black content. The HP diagnostic software said the black cartridge had not run out and was working correctly and advised head cleaning and print alignment both of which I did with no result. I tried tweaking both the printer settings and Windows 10 settings to no avail. I then checked out HP help pages - next to useless, HP user forums - lots of people with the same problem but no solutions. Independent web site forums also had many reports of the same problem but no solutions. I decided to buy a new printer (any excuse to acquire a new gadget) but then thought why not get a new black cartridge it only cost £6 and try that?Ordered from Amazon arrived next day (thanks Prime) fitted it and HAPPY ENDING the printer has gone back to doing as it should.I suspect I was lucky and that the original ink cartridge had developed a simple fault. Some of the printers owned by all those irate frustrated people out there perhaps have more fundamental problems. Why had they not tried a new cartridge? Perhaps they are Americans !!!

This item comes in both combinations of black cartridge and coloured cartridge. Black is best used to print out simple text as in letters whilst coloured are suitable for pictures and photographs when using photographic paper. I used this fir my HP printer and scanner machine as it is compatible with most of them as marked on the side of the packaging. I inserted this in my printer and it accepts it and prints out good quality documents without any flaws. You can get this product at a reduced price occasionally, so it is best to keep a good lookout and purchase it when the price is lower but the terms of value for money on Amazon is more or less the same compared to those on the high street,if you include the delivery charges. They don't charge delivery if all items brought costs £20 or more. Apart from this, item has been a good buy for me and I am happy to purchase this ink cartridges from Amazon any time.

Bought a new printer that unfortunately didn't have the same ink code as my old one, (which was 300XL) I looked up on the internet if you can use a 301XL ink carton with a 301 ink carton printer, there is a lot of conflicting information, so to play safe I thought it better to buy the ones included in the new printer's box. I priced the same ones in our local shops and they were twice the price for each carton. These ones are easy to use you just peal back the sticker and insert them, listen for a click and that's it. I have printed numerous sheets of paper and the colour stays really well and it's as good a quality as the really expensive inks. You get two in the box one colour and one black and white, whereas you have to buy separately from the local stores, hence the expense. I would recommend these as I am really pleased with the quality and of course the price.

I have made the mistake of using unofficial cartridges for my printer a few times but now intend to stick to the original HP ones. Not only do they last a lot longer, they allow your printer to warn you in advance about low ink levels (and I'm talking a good few days, not moments before you can no longer see what's being printed!), and seem to print with a much better quality ink. I genuinely thought that the only difference was the price and even then we're talking a few pennies. Therefore, as much as you may feel that you're saving money when buying non-official cartridges, my personal experiences has proven otherwise.I have no intentions of purchasing anything other than HP ink cartridges from now on as the difference in price is negligent nowadays anyway and not worth the stress of being unable print correctly.

Arrived promptly and just what I needed.I have been using HP 301 cartridges in my 3050A printer for a few years. I always have issues with the recycled ones so I tend to buy HP. The standard one prints around 60 pages whereas this one prints about 3x the amount. I would not say it is as much as 480 on the listing. The expiring date on the ink was xIt is the same dimensions as a normal 301 just has more ink inside. The set up is easy with a test page. I did not get any warnings about the cartridge on the screen. The quality of print is good.In terms of value ink is not cheap but I think these offer better value than the standard 301 and I have had a look around and the current price is competitive.Overall I am happy to recommend and I will buy again.Thank you for reading this I hope you found it useful.

It does last considerably longer than the standard size cartridges and you do get what you pay for, but it is a little pricey. That seems to be the case with all original cartridges nowadays.I've had bad experiences with the self-fill or re-manufactured and refurbished cartridges. With those, you have no assurances of the quality of the ink or the amount that it's been topped up by the seller. At least with the original sealed units, you can have faith that it is standardised and you also have recourse should it fail.Using my printer for maybe 10-20 sheets of black printing every week, this product has lasted me 3 months so far, and it's still going. I suspect it may have to be replaced soon, but I will be buying the XL again, given its longevity.

After a few days beyond the expected delivery date, I received an email telling me that the package had been left in my garage; in actual fact my garage is behind my house in a different road to my postal address and, in any case, is always locked when not in use!Eventually, and by sheer chance, I discovered the package several days later half-hidden with some rubbish in my next-door neighbour's pull-in area in Wood Lane. Presumably the deliverer could not be bothered to walk up the short flight of steps to my house and leave the package in my post box next to the front door as they have done in the past.Contents of the package were found to be in good order as one would expect.Hope thisinformation is helpful for future deliveries.

You buy a wonderful 3-1 printer, after two years of use HP install a piece of software stopping you from recycling cartridges or purchasing recycled cartridges. Even with your best intentions, you try to follow HP's instructions and for a while you can buy recycled cartridges. HP is an angry beast, a bit like the Flaming Eye for Lord of the Rings - so this year it stops me, stops me hard from using recycled, environmentally friendly cartridges. I have to buy their cartridges or the printer doesn't work. Unfortunately, I have to buy the expensive alternatives because HP wants to make some more and not save the environment. Yes they work, yes they are nice but I feel forced into buying them.Last time I buy a HP Printer.

This is a revised Review for the one that I wrote last year. Original Review below. Reason for the revision is the fact it was my own stupid fault I was having problems with my printer. I bought a new Apple Mac after using only Windows for ever, and FORGOT TO DOWNLOAD NEW DRIVERS!!!! I know; stupid right? But I'd asked Curries KnowHow Rep about the printer problems when they started, and he said nada re getting different drivers. Grrrrrrrr I pay Curries for this bad advice btw. ? ?Original Review ?"Has messed up my printer. I made sure, or thought I did, that I bought a top line ink cartridge. I would’ve been better off with a no name brand than this rubbish. Won't buy HP again.Ever."Soz folks.

The printer manufacturers have got us all across a barrel when it comes to buying ink cartridges. I've used OEM makes and tried refilled cartridges but the only ones that have always worked straight away and I've never had a problem with are the genuine HP ones. If you can buy a genuine HP replacement for the same price as an OEM or refilled cartridge then why not buy the genuine part? All ink cartridges are exorbitantly expensive when you consider the amount of ink they hold only costs a few pence when bought in bulk. Because of the high cost of cartridges I only ever buy a couple at a time so I need to know for sure that the printer will always work reliably so only the real thing will dofor me.

Original product delivered rapidly. The four star is NOT a criticism of the supplier who has the unfortunate task of having to supply cartridges at the rip off charges made by the suppliers. If there was any way in which I could dispense with the HP printer and get something that doesn't require re-mortgaging every time you want to print a few pages I would do it. Nothing short of scandalous. Fortunately I have Samsung mono laser for the black stuff but probably the HP will shout to be fed when the blue runs out ! But well done to th supplier who sent the cartridge 10 days before the colour turned up from elsewhere

After a disappointing set of compatible cartridges from another listing on Amazon where the black didn't work at all, I was very pleased with these official cartridges.I do wish all printer manufacturers would allow 3rd party manufacturers to produce compatible inks for their printers that don't show up as being "counterfeit or empty", but that seems to be an industry wide issue.I always opt for the XL versions, no special reason other than laziness, just means we don't have to change them as frequently, and per oz of ink they work out slightly cheaper (unless there is a deal on the normal non-XL versions)

11.1.2018

After some bad experiences with non-branded ink cartridges (including one killing an Epson printer- blocked the print head, which is part of the printer on that model) I have stuck to manufacturers own ink cartridges since. That might be a little pessimistic with HP printers, as the print head is normally part of the cartridge but I have had no problem with these, even when I have not printed much for a while. They are a little bit pricey but are certainly not the worst in the industry but are always reliable and seem to last really well. Therefore I will continue to buy these cartridges.
