Slightly late but have to grant HP 5 stars from 1 (left original comment) after I contacted HP through WhatsApp (excellent way of supporting customers as easy to upload pictures of a situation and not needing to wait on the phone for ages) very helpful staff helped me patiently to try all we could to solve my issue. After resetting the easy way and later twice a hard reset one of the cartridges started to work again and without questions asked the customer agent proactively organised for a courier to dispatch a replacement cartridge as she told me it was well beyond HP standards. Will be HP customer for the next 30 years too !PREVIOUS COMMENT: All of the sudden the tri colour 302 XL and my black and white 302 XL were not recognised by my HP Envy 4527 printer. They were about 1.5 months old, I do not print a lot and after resetting the printer many times, deinstalling and reinstalling the driver and printer again and cleaning the printer itself as well as the cartridges, I gave up since I had to print important documents for a solicitor. So that was a good £50 wasted not to mention the fact that I had to buy a £25 302 original HP replacement set (not even XL) from Asda which was immediately recognised.Bloody disappointed how a cartridge when still full (HP or Amazon are more than allowed to investigate these cartridges) can not be recognised from the one day to the other and after following all advice on the HP Support website the problem still remains. Big dent in my trust in HP and Amazon.

Firstly I bought this for my mum as her standard black one ran out or dried up.It came in a card box with a sturdy foil sealed bag. Inside the bag was a small black ink capsule which I thought was quite small considering its high yield stated capacity. The cartridge was protected with a nice plastic interface chip cover and a plastic cello tape style strip on the ink heads. The cartridge was installed by lifting up the main body on this printer which initiated the tray to move across. Pull up the front of the cartridge and it clipped out easilly. Installed doing the reverse pushed it in slanted towards back then pushed front down till it clipped it (not much pressure at all,if you're applying pressure you're likely doing it wrong).Shut the main body and away it went. Straight away detected genuine cartridge and asked to align print heads. Printed some documents in colour and looked fine, text and images were sharp. My quarrels with this is just a problem with HP I think, they're just so expensive so best to buybabfew when on offer. If wasn't for price it's be 5 star.

Very happy with these cartridges. In the past I have tried to use replica cartridges which are not original or from HP but they have never performed that well, either leaking, getting blocked or just causing strange behaviour with the printer. I have a number of printers in different business locations i either share or have exclusive access to and i always insist we have HP printers and use genuine cartridges for the best results. Whilst these arent cheap, they work every time, last a reasonable amount of time, will not damage your printer and thanks to Amazon Prime, are with me the next day after a get a low ink warning. If you are considering this against another non-brand alternative, save yourself the inevitable hassle and go for the original genuine cartridge. When i click print, i want to know that it will result in a document being printed, not waiting to see if it works or if the cartridge has blocked or leaked again, life is too short to have a daily battle with something as mundane as a print cartridge.

The single, inescapable reason that you can go to a local electrical store (pre-Covid), and buy a combination printer, scanner & copier for less than £40 is because the manufacturers know you'll have to buy Their ink refills. This is where all their profits are made. Moreso now, when most such printer units will detect if you try to install el-cheapo/refilled ink cartridges and simply refuse to function... Until then, these are the best value that such items can be - moreso than the smaller-capacity cartridges - and provide excellent quality images. That is, for as long as you can afford to keep buying original refills... My suggestion is to move up a grade in hardware,to a machine that has a number of built-in ink reservoirs, which you CAN top-up with (much cheaper), original ink...

How can I review this - it's just an ink cartridge! Expensive and not very long lasting - especially if you are doing a lot of photo printing or colour work but.. we have to have them don't we!I do usually buy the double packs (colour and black) but as I've got in-front with the black and already have one in-hand, I bought this lone colour one, which isn't really the best way to buy them. It's always more economically viable to buy the twin packs. As to quality - I've never bough any other ink cartridges but the ones recommended for my printer so I can't comment on the quality. It's as good as I want it to be and I can only imagine that the cheaper ones won't be. That's all I can say!

Genuine HP ink cartridge. Recognised as such by my HP machine (which gave me a nice, polite, "thank you" message for using the genuine article, when I put it in, which is a bit rich, given it won't work with none HP cartridges!)........I've often wondered why printers are so cheap and yet printer ink so expensive......I suppose it's a bit like if every make of car only ran on that specific manufacturers brand of petrol.......they pull you in by selling you the car dirt cheap, but the petrol they then sell that you need to run it on costs £100 per gallon!......clever.... I suppose.....

value for money and installation are the areas I'm asked about. The print quality seems ok if a little pale. It doesn't look sharp black more dark grey. Value for money? Well I think the price was good but I'm taking into account the fact I've only printed about 5 pages so far in it does seem a little grey. However, that might be my printer at fault. I found it a little harder to install that I would expect. You can't just drop it in, you have to make sure the "heads" are just in the right place.

I took a chance buying this ink cartridge as the number on my printer was not shown. Your ink cartridge number was 46500 then the numbers jumped to above the 4600`s. where as my number is 4658.And I decided to buy one and if the cartridge didn`t work I would stand the cost of it. If the cartridge did work then I would buy more which I did, I bought two more cartridges and shall buy more as needed. That`s why I gave you top marks, regards.Kevin.

A good price given what they charge in the high street. Unfortunately the first ones never arrived but I contacted the seller and they were very good , second ones arrived OK.They are original cartridges so no issues when you load them as I have in the past had so called 'compatable ones' that the printer rejects.I suppose the best answer in a review is " would I buy them again " and the answer is 'yes' no issues with them or the company.

I bought these to print off some surveys, these were perfectly fine, with an even colour, for the first 200 pages or so of black text. I got a low ink warning after that though and they printed in streaks soon after. Obviously you're pretty much stuck with using these with whatever printer you use, so I'd recommend avoiding my mistake by double checking that you won't be doing mainly black and white printing before buying this set.

I was sceptical when I opened the package and saw the cartridge was the same as the standard size. However, after printing lots of documents and past papers for revision, I can honestly say this ink does last a very very long time. Far longer than the standard size. This cartridge at the time of purchasing was also far cheaper than all the other retailers I came across.I always buy my ink from here now.

This item was entirely accurately described as having a damaged cardboard box, but being otherwise absolutely intact, in date, and a completely authentic original manufacturer's cartridge. It was therefore on offer at a considerable discount from the standard price. This is to the seller's credit. Such transparency is laudable, and will give me confidence in any future descriptions from this vendor.

Does what it says on the tin. It is much cheaper in the long run to buy this product in stead of the black and coloured inks separately. Easier to store as well and some stores also offer a small refund in exchange for empty cartridges. This is excellent if you have a tight budget and need to keep a tight grip on to the money in the long run, as I have been doing for a while.

Keeping track of the number of copies as I'm not convinced that you get so many more copies with these XL cartridges compared to the standard version. Hence no comment on longevity and value for money just yet. Have used generic cartridges in the past that certainly don't live up to their quality/quantity claims so have gone back to the more expensive originals to compare.
