I bought this cartridge after an annoying experience with some "compatible" cartridges where the ink level wasn't displayed, plus, every time I switched the PC or any other device networked to my HP 7520 multi-function printer you got a persistent warning "Non-compatible cartridges installed". I suspect a recent HP system upgrade installed these warnings and made them more persistent. Despite following instructions from the "compatible" cartridge supplier I couldn't get rid of the warnings. The quality of these HP cartridges is first rate - accurate colours, no streaking and clear ink level indications plus there's the added extra that our local animal charity can recycle HP original cartridges to raise funds but not compatibles. The page yield is also consistent between the two - I get just as many pages from these HP cartridges as I did from my compatibles.Apart from the issue above the other thing which persuaded me to switch to HP originals is that now the price differential between quality compatibles and HP originals has narrowed considerably - take a look. I'm not sure whether it's a case of HP doing the right thing and bringing their prices down or whether the "compatible" suppliers have got more confident and have raised their prices.Yes, I might be a "victim" of recent HP system upgrades but they've helped me see that compatibles aren't always best in terms of performance and the saving in using them is no longer as great. Recommended.

Having bought the HP printer, buying replacement ink is a necessity and this four-pack is as good a way as any. HP state on the box that the colour cartridges are good for 300 pages each and the black cartridge is good for 250 - presumably because black is the most used of all the inks. That works out at 6p to 7p per page, plus the cost of the paper. Buying in the high street works out at over 8p per page. The best thing about the HP printers that take these cartridges is that each colour is loaded separately. The costs really rack up in printers that take combination ink cartridges: when one reservoir empties you have to throw the whole thing away or get involved with the hassle of re-inking (I've tried that: it works, but it's messy!). So, I prefer printers with the four-cartridge system. This four-pack typically costs £25 in the shops, so there's a definite saving to be had here - but it takes a bit of discipline to achieve it. I recommend having a spare set in stock all the time and ordering new when you use one. Otherwise, you'll be in the middle of printing something urgent when the ink runs out and, not able to wait for delivery, obliged to dash to the local high street to buy at the higher prices.I find the HP ink colours to be bright and clear and the quality from my 5520 quite acceptable.

When ordering always check for the PRODUCTION NUMBER/CODE....here is why:This listing is for genuine HP 364XL cartridges. The MODEL NUMBER/CODE is 364XL; it prints approximately 550 A4 sides with average usage. The PRODUCTION NUMBER/CODE (aka SKU, aka stock-keeping unit) is CN684EE (US version ends in WN not EE). The dimensions are 106 x 23 x 115 mm.This is not to be confused with the ORIGINAL cartridge of MODEL NUMBER/CODE 364; which has PRODUCTION NUMBER/CODE CB316EE, and the SAME DIMENSIONS, but lower capacity of 250 A4 sides! Also NEITHER of these cartridge types should be confused with the DISCONTINUED cartridge with MODEL NUMBER/CODE 364XL, with PRODUCTION NUMBER/CODE CB321EE,dimensions of 106 x 46 x 115mm, and a capacity of 750 A4 sides. The cartridge (in this listing) with PRODUCTION NUMBER/CODE CN684EE REPLACED CB321EE.Was this replacement Hewlett Packard's attempt at streamlining cartridge size for the benefit of customers? Perhaps...but I think it is a flagrant example of short-selling by HP...same name, same packaging, same price, but lower capacity. As for the actual product...it is a genuine OEM product, it won't leak, it provides superior quality print, and it will show on the ink level display; albeit at high prices.I hope this helps.

Why not five stars? Well we are all familiar by now that the ink for inkjet cartridges is a very expensive commodity and the sale and profit accrued offset the lower than expected charge for the printer, so if we take that as a given, that explains away the high cost element. The quantity of ink in each cartridge is relatively small compared to the size of the cartridge and this contributes to the need to change the units more often than one could reasonably expect and it would certainly not be suitable for anything other than the light usage for which it has been designed. The colour and density of the ink is very good as you would expect and in my eyes is far superior to the third party products which are easily available but are not that much cheaper.Whilst I could never afford to use this product for anything other than the occasional colour print on the appropriate paper, it does seem to produce an excellent printed page across the range of printing options and I have no complaints in this regard, whether it be to produce a transparency or a short letter in black text.In essence, I do feel that this is a very good product which I cannot really fault, other than you don't get a lot for your money and on that basis, it is only 4 stars for me.

I have an HP Deskjet 3070A and have been buying these cartridges for it. The 364 XL ones contain more ink but these suit my purposes. They arrived quickly and well packaged when I ordered my last lot from this seller. Unfortunately, my printer decided it was not going to print with the black cartridge. I have had my printer for about a year so did a head clean etc but still it wouldn't print properly. I was wondering if there was a problem with the cartridges until I found something very simple and very useful which I thought I'd pass on in case anyone else has had the same problemIf you know ink is not empty but it won't print - Take out cartridge, dampen some kitchen paper towel with warm water, hold the wet patch over the round sponge/hole where the ink is dispensed from for a few seconds. Then place back in printer and off you go. It worked for me and I've had no more problems. It's also worth noting that there are 364XL cartridges which hold more ink. But at the moment the simple 364 Combo pack is working fine for me.

I thought I'd already done this but here goes anyway. I've recently bought two lots of these cartridges. Second lot from Cartridge King were cheaper. I'd been given the printer which was clogged up. This I rectified and bught the first set of genuine HP ink to get it going which seems to be OK. I don't print much but I do exercise the thing every third day, if no other printing is done, using three words in Black, Green and Red which should use all four inks. I simply update the document each time so the print comes up in a different place on the same sheet of paper, which lasts several months. This latest batch is simply for when any of the inks in the printer run out. I haven't unpacked the latest batch yet.Interesting to see the cartridges are dated Nov 2020. I don't know if this is good or bad but I noticed HP cartridges in my local supermarket are dated similarly so I guess/hope they will work when I need them. At least I'll have probably escaped any tariffs which might be added by the EU when/if we leave.

Not too sure what to say about this combo pack of cartridges, it is what it is and they will work or not.Its a full pack of cartridges and it does its job.Future buyers be aware that these are not full sized cartridges but for the light user they are ideal.Otherwise I cant think of anything else to say!*EDIT*I have had no problems at all with this product in fact it is excellent!.But I have just reordered it and for the second time it was sent First class postage with the appropriate charge, the first time I just let it go as I thought I had possibly pressed the wrong button on the order page (though I am always very careful to go for the free P&P)so when I realised that it had happened again I used the Amazon online chat system to complain about it,the very nice young lady assured me that I had ordered it 1st class (which I KNOW I hadnt as I had double checked) that said she did refund the £3.50 for me! so I was grateful for that.So be aware of this and watch your order folks!

In 2010 HP "updated" the size of their XL ink cartridge and, basically, reduced the print yield from 800 pages to 550 pages. The cartridge shrank in size and although there was a price reduction it was not proportionate to the 31 per cent print yield shrinkage. It's also difficult in any case to be too positive about something that, drop for drop, costs far more than a fine Champagne.Still, having used generic inks previously - and suffered the consequences including ruined printers - I'm now a firm believer in HP inks. The quality is simply far better than most if not all of the generic efforts I've tried. The difference is noticeable immediately in terms of smudging, drying time and depth of colour in photos. This isn't to say that the price HP charges for their ink is justifiable (it really isn't) but until there's competition in terms of quality it is the only show in town.

Beware that HP now manufacture 364XL Black cartridges with 2 times standard capacity in place of the original 3 times standard capacity.Dunnings accept orders for the original 3x but supply the inferior 2x. They refuse to make a partial refund or pay return postage, blaming Amazon for the confusion. However, they made a very prompt no-quibble refund when I returned the cartridges.I doubt if any supplier still has the original 3x high capacity cartridges. To save further waste of return postage, I ordered the new 2x 550 page cartridges from Indigo Starfish and received the goods very quickly. It's time Amazon insisted that suppliers claiming to have 3x high capacity actually have them in stockor change their description to 2x 550 page.It appears that some sup[pliers are

Have always used genuine HP supplies and ordered from Cartridge King through Amazon for convenience. Latest batch had problems with the black ink (wouldn't work) and ended up using lots of the other inks in the new cartridges going through the various test options to resolve the problem. Wasn't best pleased at all. Went through complaints procedure via Amazon marketplace and Cartridge King were very quick to respond, very pleasant and sent replacement cartridges and a freepost address to return the problem cartridges. Was driven by price before, but will now be a loyal Cartridge King customer as have been very impressed with service. Four stars for product as do begrudge prices for printer ink,but five stars for service received. Thank you.

I've ordered these cartridges a number of times, and they are the genuine article. They are well made and of the quality you would expect from HP.Unfortunately though, they don't last very long. Particularly considering the materials and packaging that go into containing such a small quantity of ink. I'm usually lucky if I can get past 100--150 pages from each ink cartridge. That's just printing normally, some colour, some black and white onto A4 ink jet paper. I'm 95% satisfied with the printer, I just think the colours can be a little muted sometimes. So I am stuck with having to buy these (I wouldn't personally want to try non-genuine replacements),but I guess that applies to most of the ink-jet printers on the market.

My expensive HP Scanner printer would not work, I bought replacement packages of ink, but still it wouldn't work? The only black I could get was the large black ink. I was on the verge of getting rid of my printer as I needed to print my essays for uni. But finally I solved the mystery of why I couldn't buy a regular sized black ink to make my printer work. It had to have a large black ink cartridge and this 'photo' black ink before it would work, hurrah! What a relief my printer is now working fine, though still guzzling ink at a rate of knots and saying 'low ink' and not printing when the cartridges still look half full.Someone should investigate this ink scam many people have talked about it but nothing is ever done.

It's a genuine HP ink cartridge. What can you say? Price was OK (they're never exactly cheap are they?), it fits and works fine. I must admit that I always buy genuine cartridges nowadays after a very bad experience a few years back with compatibles that wrecked my printer and cost me more in replacements and lost time than I ever saved. I don't think anyone can declare that they're delighted to pay for a tiny amount of fluid in an electronically smart package, a sum that is more expensive per litre than just about anything else on Earth. However, we all value out time don't we and personally, I need things to just work as they should without faffing about and knowing the results will bereliable and uniformly good.

Feb 2012 Amazon supplied @ £17.99 inc shipping. Items on box are dated Dec 2013, at this price the best price so far!I was a wee bit concerned that a few reviews said that the 'their seller' sent out of date inks, some only lasting a few prints and so on . . .It's confusing as when you look at best price and click a review, it can put you off that 'best price' when you see remarks such as out of date, took ages to replace item etc! When making a product review from multiple sellers' it may be advisable to add the date & seller involved, unless Amazon will do this in future! I know it's a PRODUCT review but most folk associate the seller page they were on rather than the PRODUCT.

As HP Cartridges have demonstrated , their print quality is of a faultless standard when installed correctly using the appropriate printing settings. However , HP ink cartridges are certainly not defying the trend of expensive printer inks , whilst these will print 200-250 pages each , that isn’t extraordinary if essays , letters , postage labels and articles are being printed frequently. Therefore , this product is ideal for those who print relatively frequently , perhaps 20 sides per week , as the purchase frequency will be reduced .However , those who print for business or commercial purposes should seek alternative , more efficient printers for future savings.
