This item comes in both combinations of black cartridge and coloured cartridge. Black is best used to print out simple text as in letters whilst coloured are suitable for pictures and photographs when using photographic paper. I used this fir my HP printer and scanner machine as it is compatible with most of them as marked on the side of the packaging. I inserted this in my printer and it accepts it and prints out good quality documents without any flaws. You can get this product at a reduced price occasionally, so it is best to keep a good lookout and purchase it when the price is lower but the terms of value for money on Amazon is more or less the same compared to those on the high street,

It does last considerably longer than the standard size cartridges and you do get what you pay for, but it is a little pricey. That seems to be the case with all original cartridges nowadays.I've had bad experiences with the self-fill or re-manufactured and refurbished cartridges. With those, you have no assurances of the quality of the ink or the amount that it's been topped up by the seller. At least with the original sealed units, you can have faith that it is standardised and you also have recourse should it fail.Using my printer for maybe 10-20 sheets of black printing every week, this product has lasted me 3 months so far, and it's still going. I suspect it may have to be replaced soon,

After a few days beyond the expected delivery date, I received an email telling me that the package had been left in my garage; in actual fact my garage is behind my house in a different road to my postal address and, in any case, is always locked when not in use!Eventually, and by sheer chance, I discovered the package several days later half-hidden with some rubbish in my next-door neighbour's pull-in area in Wood Lane. Presumably the deliverer could not be bothered to walk up the short flight of steps to my house and leave the package in my post box next to the front door as they have done in the past.Contents of the package were found to be in good order as one would expect.Hope this

The printer manufacturers have got us all across a barrel when it comes to buying ink cartridges. I've used OEM makes and tried refilled cartridges but the only ones that have always worked straight away and I've never had a problem with are the genuine HP ones. If you can buy a genuine HP replacement for the same price as an OEM or refilled cartridge then why not buy the genuine part? All ink cartridges are exorbitantly expensive when you consider the amount of ink they hold only costs a few pence when bought in bulk. Because of the high cost of cartridges I only ever buy a couple at a time so I need to know for sure that the printer will always work reliably so only the real thing will do

speak cartridge HP 301 black ink is a necessary tool to work, it is true that with the 301 hp xl cartridge has more ink but it's good to have the standard format that also helps and most importantly the price is cheaper, amazon.co.uk thanks for offering first free service of shipping, plus a cheaper price anywhere on the internet and that is appreciated when used ink cartridge that desganta fast and most importantly the original cartridge purchase price even cheaper on amazon.co.uk, not found in the internet, and so thank you very much for thinking of Amazon customers. Highly recommended if you use the printer even slightly affordable price.

After a disappointing set of compatible cartridges from another listing on Amazon where the black didn't work at all, I was very pleased with these official cartridges.I do wish all printer manufacturers would allow 3rd party manufacturers to produce compatible inks for their printers that don't show up as being "counterfeit or empty", but that seems to be an industry wide issue.I always opt for the XL versions, no special reason other than laziness, just means we don't have to change them as frequently, and per oz of ink they work out slightly cheaper (unless there is a deal on the normal non-XL versions)

This item arrived within 48 hours which is a brilliant delivery as I'm about as far away as I can get in the UK. I purchased this cartridge as it is such good value and does a heap of general printing - mostly documents word processed. My HP printer is so economical especially buying this cartridge at such a good price. Sorry but I can't say how many copies I do or printed pictures etc. It meets my needs perfectly. I like to buy the genuine ink to avoid any hitches. Now I've just received another order - this time I ordered two. Very pleased with the service as it takes just a few days to reach me.

ALWAYS BUY THE XL OF THIS 301 INK.I used to buy the normal size of this 301 ink, and as a student, and my partner running his own business we do a lot of printing from home. The black and the colour both ran out SO quick in the standard size. Honestly spend £5 more and this XL last SO much longer. This lasts us probably X4 or X5 times longer! Worth the extra money.The actual cartage itself is NOT bigger in physical size, so yes it still fits in your printer if you usually buy 301 standard ink. There is just MORE ink in the cartages. I have a HP Envy fits perfectly.

Thank heavens for other reviewers and their advice to buy the XL and not the ordinary cartridge. Amongst reviews there are always people who know a lot more than you do yourself (thank you experienced reviewers), so it's worth taking on board their wealth of knowledge. The XL is a much fuller cartridge; it's not cheap nowadays but it works out at much, much better value. At the price replacement cartridges are I think I'm going to have to cut down on my document printing. Hopefully this XL one will give me a lot more printing potential.

Bought both cartridges Black and Try colour, unfortunately there was something wrong with the tri-colour, Amazon sent me a link for HP - I phoned HP and was helped by a very helpful person. After trying different things on my printer it was clear that it was the cartridge is the HP assistant promised to send me a new one. I received the replacement cartridge in 3 days - very pleased with service I received from HP. I would have given this a 5 star but gave it 4 as original cartridge was faulty

Although the emptier No.301 cartridge has only a few millilitres and seems to run out very quickly, the 301XL appears to go on and on. If your printer takes this particular cartridge, then for the extra pounds that the 301XL costs, it seems to be a good buy. I have no idea how much ink is contained inside it but I always use the genuine HP products since I had a bad experience with refilled cartridges under their description as 'remanufactured'.

I have a 10 year+ old printer and dug it out of the cupboard to print a curry recipe for taking to the shop. The printer ink had long since expired and the printer mechanism was OK but it didn't print. So I ordered a new ink cartridge. It arrived the next day, I put it straight into the printer and it WORKS ! So I can take my curry ingredients list to the shop tomorrow and do a Punjabi Chicken Curry. Marvellous.

I had ordered this ink cartridge, and was absolutely AMAZED how incredible the service was from Amazon. Just like the telephone I ordered after this, the on-line ordering service was truly incredible, and this included the product being delivered to me with the utmost speed and efficiency. This HP 301 colour is far better than the ink refill. It's safer for your printer (i.e. lessen the risk of damaging the printer and increases the quality of the printer as well). Passed experience tells me not get cheap refill inks as it significantly reduces the printing quality after some time and may damage the printer as well.Highly recommend these types of 'well known' products.

the double packs always tend to be the best deals. individually wrapped with easy peel and clear instructions on how to inserts the cartridge. as with all HP cartridges you get the disposals bag to place your empties in. HP originals are the best in terms of quality materials, no cheap ink liquid imitation or refill option matches this, worth paying the extra for the proper cartridge.
