I've used this tin just the once so far to make a baked cheesecake. I had the base lined with a piece of greaseproof, but I had some leakage of butter into the oven. Unfortunately I was also using a slightly quirky recipe and it might have been the amount of butter that was wrong which caused leakage.It is ideal for cheesecakes as the base is loose. The deep nature of the tin came in very useful for the baking as it kept the cheesecake mixture in the tin when it rose magnificently!This tin would be really useful for rich fruit cakes too such as wedding cake or Christmas cake. The heavy guage of the tin means the cake shouldn't burn when cooked for long periods,

Could not get a 23CM large tin anywhere for a reasonable price but found these on amazon. I purchased three tins to make christmas cakes and they have been great.Very impressed with the build quality of these tins. They are thick gauge and sturdy holding the weight of christmas cake mix well. I did like the fact the packaging is not stuck to the cake tin like it is on the Sainsbury's brand tins.Only negative is and its small but present on every tin I have owned is that the top of the tins and removable base are rolled metal so rust as they do not dry that quickly. Wish they would redesign that part!Anyway really good items and would purchase again if required. Thanks

I am thrilled with the purchases I have made in this Master Class series [Master Class Non-Stick Loose Base Deep Cake Pan Round 23cm and Master Class Non-Stick Deep Cake Pan Square 20cm] and I intend to buy more. The quality is excellent and is worth much more than the priced asked- n.b please don't increase them yet! I've looked in cook shops, supermarkets etc. and there is nothing available to match the quality/price of these Master Class cake tins. A very happy customer.

I bought three of these products and they are a lot bigger than I expected!! Very deep compared to the picture on display. Only 2 fit in my oven at a time...Great quality and easy to clean. Non stick surface is working very well for baking and I have had no issues with product leaking from the retractable base.durable and will last a long time I would buy these again for sure if I didn't already own three :)

Fantastic product, bought for the better half because she couldn't find a quality cake tin locally. Well worth getting for a rather large Christmas Cake she found in a recipe book, has baked perfectly in this heavy gauge non stick tin. She is well happy with the results and so am I. Would recommend this product without hesitation.

It didn't help that I bought the wrong size. I should have checked the size in inches. It's a very big cake tin, that would be great for a big occasion. I ended up using it for my son's birthday cake, but it was massive. The guests didn't complain, I just had to use 2 X the cake recipe. Cake tin itself is good quality.

Very sturdy product, large 9inch deep cake tin, easy to clean, does the job, is quite heavy before placing ingredients into the tin, so be careful when maneuvering it into and out of the oven when cake is in it, I made my first ever xmas cake and it turned out beautiful. Overall a very good product for the price.

Wow!! The perfect cake tin. I was finding it real difficult to find the correct size and good quality tin to bake my Christmas cake in. This has a push through bottom too which helps greatly once the cake is cooled. Great quality, very sturdy, you can see instantly it's not a rubbish item. Highly recommended.

I was very impressed with this cake tin. It is very thick and sturdy. It's thickness means that the sides of the cake come out much softer rather than a bit more crispy in the cheap cake tins. I used this to make a tier on my friends wedding cake, it went down very well!

I really like this tin. Well worth the money. Very good design. I've made several celebration cakes and been very happy with the result. I always line with baking paper, but i think it would work perfect with just being greased with butter.

when i bought this item i did not for one minuet think it would be as good as it is, the weight and the quallity of it is next to none, i/ we have just made a wedding cake with this tin and it was and is fab, thank you very much amazon.

Good quality with thick walls and bottom resulting in even backing but the side doesn't have a spring which means that it is difficult to get the cake out of the tin (the bottom falls when the tin is turned upside down)

Used this tin for the first time today. Had a really good bake.Cake rose well and cooked even.Had no leeks eather.Would definety recommend.I buttered the tin and didn't line it and the cake can't out lovely

This is a properly solid cake tin - the base fits snugly but without sticking, it's good quality & weighty, and I'm very pleased with it. It arrived on time, well packaged, and also has a 20-year guarantee!

I bought this for my Christmas cake - it's great - produced a lovely looking cake. Haven't eaten it yet but I'm sure it will be good. A pretty heavy-duty tin - made me feel like I got good value for money.
