I have been a massive fan of the Kipling syro bag and have purchased several of those. I stumbled upon the Amiel, in the navy floral print (which is new for this season) at a bargain price & knew that if I didn't like it, I could return it. I LOVE this bag! It can be worn 2 ways, over the wrist or crossbody. The handles aren't long enough for shoulder wear. The bag is so roomy, I've got a water bottle, glasses case, wallet, makeup, phone, shopping bags x 2, all the ususal pockets for pen, medications, make up sponges, etc. Also has an outside zipped pocket for keys. The handles also have a leather look handle for durability. And comes complete with furry monkey.

I am a Kipling bag FAN and have had several before. This one does not have as many pockets as my ones before but it is larger. I am using it for work and since I am a teacher it has come in very handy. I can fit in a full sized pencil case. My purse. Another pencil case sized bag where I keep toiletries, a big bottle of perfume, bunch of keys, phone and more. My previous bag was just a tad to small for all of that, this one is just right. My only gripe would be that pockets and additional sectioned areas in the bag would have made it even better. It has a proper Kipling monkey, not those horrible plastic ones they seem to be using on some of the bags. My school kids love the monkey!

Wonderful bag. Just the right size to hold essentials and a lot more. Handy to have the shoulder strap and the bag is floppy enough to wear as an over the shoulder bag ie it molds to your side. Very comfortable to wear and is light. Obviously when something is in it the bag puffs out a bit and is sturdy. Beautiful colour. Zip open and closes with ease and is quite substantial. Bag is roomy inside with slot for phone and another slightly larger slot and it has a zipped section inside and one on the outside back of the bag. Overall bag is roomy and light. I think it would wash if necessary. Handles have a leather bit at top of handle and is comfortable to hold. Very very pleased.

This is a good medium sized bag, it is amazing what you can get in it. I have my Kipling nellis purse, Kipling Florence purse, cloth bag, Kipling scarf, gloves and could get more in. It has all the usual Kipling organisation, key lanyard, one pen holder, 2 slip pockets for lipsticks, earphones etc. A zip pocket. On the back of the bag there is a small zip pocket for keys etc. It also comes with a detachable strap. I used this bag across my body for a trip away and it was quite comfy, the detachable strap extends and I had it so it went over my big coat and it was more than ample. My 8" kindle goes in with ease. Overall a fab bag would definitely recommend

I do like this handbag. The only thing that I would have liked different would have been a matching lining, as if my handbag is open, it looks rather messy with the white lining gaping.The long strap means that it works perfectly as a cross body. I can also report that when my bag got dirty on first trip out, it washed perfectly at 40 degrees and air dried.EDIT: within a couple of months, lots of threads came loose on the 2 shortrt handles. Bright white so they really show against the black handles. I am very disappointed in Kipling. Not used to this happening in last 10 or more bags that I have bought for myself, daughter, niece etc etc.

For me, nearly the perfect bag. Very light, holds lots and looks good as a grab bag or cross body.I find the handles to be just the right length. I like a handle that doesn't look like it is supposed to be a shoulder bag. This is my problem with the Art Mini - a lovely bag but the handles are 2" too long. If I wanted a shoulder bag, I would buy one, not a tote!!In an ideal world, I would make this a few cm wider but it is the nearest to the perfect grab / crossbody hybrid I can find (and I have three)!Stunning colour too, with a great pom pom monkey.I definitely recommend this bag.

In fairness, I did think the bag would be a little bigger than it actually was in person. Needless to say, the item is still very lovely and I'm sure my mum will love it when she opens it on Christmas day.I prefer this style of monkey keyring much more than the furrier type; this is just one of the things which helps to make the bag look more expensive than it actually was.It does feel a little flimsy when you take it out of the packaging, but I'm sure this will soon change when it is packed full of stuff. The material also feels like it would be great for wiping: perfect for mums!

I love this bag. Actually I have a few Kiplngs and I love them all. The Amiel is spacious but not cavernous. I have purchased this bag as a travel bag - the zipper pocket on the back will be perfect for holding passports and travel documents keeping them all secure and easily accessible. Also it’s a great everyday bag and holds everything I need on a daily basis: my kindle, purse, makeup bag, fold up shopping bag, keys, phone, snacks and much more. Great for popping into the local shops to pick up a newspaper etc. As always with Kipling, for quality and durability you can’t go wrong.

Already have it in another colour so the grey is just another colour choice. Neutral colour that looks good on everything. Holds umbrella, wallet, water bottle, sunglasses, sandwich, wet wipes, multi-purpose ointment, tissues, mobile phone, earphones and still have space for more. Zipped pocket behind holds lip balms, pocket mirror, hand cream, nail trimmer, sweets and of cos room for more bits if I want. with all these items inside the bag, it still looks somewhat compact when carrying it. Amazing ability to swallow lots and look like a small handbag

I just love this Kipling bag! I have lots, big and small but I’ve struck lucky with the Amiel. Big enough for all my essentials with the usual Kipling organisation, key fob etc that Kipling fans love. Not heavy to carry across my arm & there is a good length strap if I want to wear it cross body. Darker lining which I love which won’t get stained or dirty and the traditional money (the fluffy ones look awful when they get wet in the rain & Im too old for a fluffy monkey!). Great price, fabulous bag. I got classic black, a real winner for me!

I wanted a smaller bag to accompany my larger rucksack for work. I wanted something to put my work pass and travel pass in so i do not have to take my rucksack off, Also means i can take a smaller bag with my essentials into meetings Key fob is really useful as I can attach my work pass to it. It is wider than i thought which has been a bonus. My only bugbear with it is the zip - it goes the full length of the bag for easy access but sometimes can be hard to zip bag up which is annoying if you are in a rush

A good medium size bag that will carry everyday essentials with room to spare. The Dazzling Espresso Brown colour is smart and classy. The handles, detachable shoulder strap, Kipling logo and swing monkey are black so the combination looks good with most colours. The handles aren't long enough to be worn on the shoulder, the detachable strap has to be used for that. A slight niggle for me is I find if the bag isn't full the top of the bag dips, which changes the shape of the bag but it's still a lovely bag.

I had been looking for ages for a good quality handbag that I could use daily for work, days out and on a forthcoming trip to New York.I wanted lightweight, stylish, big enough for a water bottle, umbrella, kindle, purse, make up etc without being bulky and too structured. This bag is absolutely perfect and ticks all my boxes.I bought the black first and couldn't resist getting a rose gold too ready for summer. Plus SO much cheaper than buying on Kipling's site!

I love everything about this bag. The size, vibrant colour, the handles and length of strap and one big compartment with a streamline zipped outer back pocket . The strap is as long as most Kipling bags, possibly longer, (which I concider to be longer than most brands). I'm 5ft8" and I've got a long back (2 inches longer than average). It hangs comfortably across the body bad sits below the waist, on top of the hips when fully extended.

This is a wonderful bag! It's design was even better in reality than the picture. The joy of it is that it is very lightweight, so perfect to fold up in a suitcase to take on holiday. It is spacious, comfortable to hold or wear across the body and it has just the right number of pockets. Other very helpful reviews led me to this bag. Being a bit of a bagaholic I can see myself purchasing others in other colours in future.
