We have several bags from Kipling, we just like the simple styles, the trademark features, and the workmanship which we've never taken issue with. We were introduced to the company by a chance purchase in Castries, St Lucia, visiting a friend's shop and feeling a little obliged to buy something! This somewhat impulsive purchase is still here and in weekly if not daily use. It doesn't even seem to show the passage of time, although we take good care of our "stuff".Encouraged by the durability, we're gravitated towards Kipling since the breezy style, the sensible layout of most of their bags, and as mentioned, the workmanship are all extremely good, and this tote is no exception to that. The Caffe Latte colourway with the silvered design is really subtly impressive. It doesn't shout its brand because the design is low-key, it doesn't come across as brash or garish in any way but is nice to use because it's actually quite good-looking and versatile (colour-wise and otherwise). I've always liked the subtle differences in shade that some of the Kipling range have, where there is a very delicate hint of marbling or that denim-style look - its interesting to look at but it takes a moment to realise why. It's just plain attractive. The size, for us, came up as moderately large against our expectations; then again we don't use tote bags as vast carryalls. The drawstring opening limits what you can safely pack in there anyway, but if you were someone that shopped little and often it would work pretty well. The zipped interior pocket just inside the opening is a useful size for most wallets/purses/card holders, but you'll have to be selective if you have a tendency to carry around more than the absolute basics, then again Kipling make the Iaka bag organiser set for those that carry a lot more every day. If you're used to cross-body bags, this one might feel a bit more "vulnerable" without the zip and strap. My wife uses it for carting around gym stuff (she does Muay Thai, and it takes boxing gloves, boxing kit, head protection, hand and wrist wraps, mouth guard etc) without a problem. The things I might complain about are also the things that would make this bag *not* a tote! If you want those features, whatever they may be, then Kipling probably make one of those as well. As totes go, this is - in my wife's words - "surprisingly handy", and if left lying around the house it somehow still looks good! Hmm, I think I'll just leave it there...

Nice bag. I am a great fan of Kipling bags and so far have not met one I didn’t love. As far as Kipling bags go this is a very inexpensive bag at £16. It is quite basic and depends on what you expect to use it for whether you will like it too. The material is the same kind that the handbags are made from but it is unlined. There are two fixed handles, no adjustments and the bag felt better over my arm than on my shoulder. There is one small, zipped pocket inside the bag which will fit a phone and/or small purse in it, maybe keys too, or whatever little things you don’t want to lose in the bottom of the bag.At first I thought maybe the bag would fold into the pocket as it is described as afolding bag however I can’t get it to fold up that small and I think it would damage the bag to try and force it into it, which is a pity as it would be very neat if it fitted. I was going to give it 4 stars because of this but decided I liked it so much I gave it 5.It does fold up but the handles and the drawstring are quite bulky making it much heavier than the little thin lightweight fold up bags I usually keep in my handbag so I wouldn’t recommend it to someone looking for something small, light and compact. In fact it wouldn’t really fit in the handbag I use most of the time although it would be ok in a larger one.In its favour it does have a very cute, little, furry monkey attached to it (it is Kipling after all!).The sizes given in the product description seem to vary with the different colours and some don’t make sense; so I can tell you that my bag , the Multi-Scribble, measures 38cm wide by 43 cm long and is flat seamed. One of the other reviewers said this bag was just like a swimming bag and it is actually a more accurate description than thinking of it as a shopping bag but it is a really stylish and nicely made bag (and yes, expensive if you like, for a swimming bag). It will be great for taking to the beach or the pool or for picking up a few things from the shops or for taking a couple of files or laptop/iPad out and about. If you think you’ll like it you probably will find a lot of uses for it.

I have the true blue tote and it is a grey color on one side and true blue on the other. It is a good size bag, not too big and not too small. It is strong enough to carry heavy items and has a double seam and the wide handles make it comfortable to carry. They do not dig into the arm and hurt as they do with other bags. Worth the investment as this will last a long time.

Love this as I do all my other Kipling bags, too many to count if you know what I mean, anyway was really looking forward to shopping with this bag until I saw the size of it. It must be made with a child in mind it's no good for Supermarket's Girl's. Anyhow still love it just don't know what I'm gonna use it for yet. : )

The material on this version of the Hiphurray is thicker than the previous version which had longer handles. The shorter handles on this bag are great for heavy shopping, but the thicker material makes it a little heavier and harder to fold up and put in another bag.

The nude is slightly darker then it appears in the photo however arrived quickly and is good quality! As some of the other reviews commented the draw strings are slightly stiff but it's new so I'm sure they'll wear in, over all very satisfied with my purchase.

I love this bag. Extremely sturdy and a great size for shopping if that's food or clothes etc. It folds down perfectly and is shower proof. I went for the lime and any marks are easily removed with a damp cloth. Would definitely recommend.

Kipling is my favourite make of bag. I have way too many of them but I've been eyeing these up for ages and when it came down to a price I liked I treated myself. Love the colour and it'll be very handy on my holiday.

Really handy bag to have as it's lovely thick and strong. It carries a lot. Got it on the black friday sale for £12 I wouldn't purchase it at full price as it's a bit expensive. Overall very pleased with my bargain.

This is a lovely spacious and affordable bag from the Kipling range which looks stylish and folds up easily enough so it can be popped into another bag if you want, I liked the discreet monkey key ring too.

I bought this as a gift for my younger sister and she loved it. The color is exactly as shown with the big Kipling logo. Holds much stuff and you can also close it as you please. Happy with this purchase.

Lovely bag, the quality you expect from Kipling bags got this in black Friday sales so very pleased. Fits A4 books/folders no problem. Daughter loves it and colour is as expected from the picture

Good quality and colours are lovely. One star away only because draw string closure is very stiff. I am using this as a gym bag. I can fit my trainers, waters bottle and few other bits.

Good quality shopping bag, but you would be lucky to fit a 3ltr bottle of milk in! It's about the size of a school gym bag! But it's useful, just too small to put grocery shopping in.
