I love this bag and bought two in black, one Schwartz, one black snake. It is a sophisticated hobo style which holds its shape when filled. The plain black is a very smart workbag with strong comfortable tube-like handles which look great worn over the shoulder or in the crook of the arm and holds everything I need - umbrella, sizeable make-up bag, Kipling creativity purse, 50ml bottle water, mobile phone, MP3/IPod, A5 note book (one you actually write in) and bag of sweets (essential). These items could easily fit in the central zipped pocket. However, I use the deep outer pockets, which are secured with a press stud fastening, for stuff I want easy access to, for example my bus pass,umbrella and bottle of water. Also, the waterproof outer fabric means that it is ideal for the British inclement weather and waterproof lining is good for storing a damp umbrella until I get home. The black snake fabric is the bling version and has a nice shiny Kipling emblem.I used to turn my nose up at non-leather bags until I saw the Kipling Jarita crossbody bag(no longer available, I think) on the Kipling website. Once I started using it, I grew to appreciate the organisation and key fob. The various sections and pockets, which are the key aspect of Kipling bags, ensures that I know where everything is and the key fob means no more fishing for my keys and the fabric cord is long enough for me to open my front door with the keys still on the fob. Since my first Kipling purchase several years ago, I've bought more Kipling bags. I've seen them on the Kiplnig website and a shopping channel but I generally buy from Amazon because Amazon offers the best price and a very efficient delivery service.

Another fabulous Kipling bag to add to my growing collection.I wanted a bag that was somewhere between a handbag/small shopper and the BAGSATIONAL fits the bill as it's big enough to carry a few bits of light shopping with enough room left over for larger personal items.I ordered the bag in a plain colour, Celo Grey, somewhere between a mocha and a grey which is nicely neutral and compliments almost everything in my wardrobe.Handles are solid, thick and long enough to comfortably fit over my shoulder without pinching and the bag's made from the traditional, original, Kipling canvas style fabric. There are two outer compartments, one to the front and one to the back,which close with a popper and my only negative is; they don't have any pockets which is a bit of a shame. Inner bag opens wide enough for you to comfortably rummage down to the bottom and there's a large zipped pocket, for added security, plus a place for pen storage. The finishing is excellent, no gaps in the stitching, and the zips are nice and chunky.Although the bag's quite plain on the outside when you open it up they've lined it with the most gorgeous greyish spotty lining featuring the Kipling monkey.I'm more than happy with this purchase but I've given 4* instead of 5* because the bag really does need a zipped pocket or two in the outer compartments for items such as a phone.

This is very much my partner’s review; this is a good bag if you want one larger than the Kipling customary size. I was able to fit in A4 pads and my regular size iPad. It is good for travelling as all valuables and documents fit into it, as it is large and strong. It is great for flying as I was able to have everything I needed on the plane with me and not worry about things being in the overhead locker. The colour is very smart looking and goes with everything. It is a practical shape but it is best to also get a separate purse or bag for money/cards/small items so they are not lost at the bottom of the bag.It has one main compartment, inside which there are the usual slip pockets for mobile phone,pens etc., as well as a zipped pocket if you want to put your purse somewhere extra safe. There is a fair bit of space here so if you are buying relatively small items, you will get a fair amount in here. If you like, Kipling because you like a bag with additional pockets and zipped sections, then this might be the one for you - Moreover if you are looking for a bag a bit bigger than a handbag to accompany you on a shopping, travel or work then this might just be the one.

Usually dont go for Kipling bags inless they've got a few outside pockets. I usually go for the Defea (must have at least about 8) Saw this on a lightning deal-Port Red. Went for it. Arrived the next day (Amazon Prime) The minute I opened it, I loved it. The colour, I loved (have a Uki in this colour) The carry handles on this bag, are different to the usual handles that u get in the Basic range. They're about a cm thick & are rope wise and are so comfortable to hold. They're is no leather on the handles-which I quite like because this is the first place to show signs of a well used bag. As mentioned in other reviews, a full depth section either side,of the main body of the bag-and NOT fastened with the dreaded velcro but magnetic fastner. This bag is 12 litres-Defea 11. Its a good sized bag. Only one pen holder, other usual Kipling pockets and key fob. This bag makes a welcome change because its stream lined and doesn't look bulky.Another style to add to my ever growing Kipling collection. Excellent delivery from Amazon Prime and DPD:)

I ordered this not knowing if I would keep it as I usually hate shoulder bags due to handles always slipping off my very narrow shoulders, but I absolutely loved the style of the Bagsational. I chose the triangle print as I love the bold kipling colours and it is stunning and not as in your face as it looks!!. Firstly to the shoulder handles well I walk at least 4 miles to work 4 days a week and gave this a good trial first day, I had my lunch, work shoes, 2 cans of drink and the usual purse and make up and it was still light to carry and the handles did not slip once and there was no shifting the bag about into a comfier position.I normally take a backpack but I've used this for 2 weeks non stop now and I love it also been caught out in heavy rain and none of my things have got wet or even slightly damp!. Sorry the review is so long but just wanted to let people know that this big gorgeous bag is more than suitable for a tiny framed person like myself (4ft 11!!).

Love this bag!! I was lucky enough to get this on the daily deals and it is fantastic. Like so many other reviewers of Kipling bags, this is not my first, I have three others ranging in sizes and colours. All my other are the over the shoulder types and when this came on the deals I thought ...why not, not my usual style, but give it a go! and I am so pleased with it. It fits comfortably on the shoulder, has masses of room and it's a lovely colour (Port Red). The middle section is really big, but the two side sections (fastened by a popper) are also very roomy, there is the usual phone, pen, key ring holder and of course, the monkey. The handles are thicker than on my other bags,but they suit the style of the bag and make it feel very sturdy. So glad I was lucky enough to grab this bargain, heres hoping there are more to follow!!

I have been looking at Bagsational for a while now but couldn't decide if it was too big and would encourage me to carry too much around! I decided I deserved a treat and I couldn't be happier.I love the security of the zip for the main part of the bag but the poppered side pockets just add quick access for some items (great for 500ml water bottles, magazines or books). Even fully loaded, it doesn't feel too bulky and is comfortable on the shoulder or arm or holding in a hand.As per all Kipling bags, the design and craftsmanship is brilliant and I particularly love this patterned fabric and get lots of compliments about it.If I were to redesign it, I would add a small zippered pocket to the bag for phone/purse for secure but quick access but even without this I still love it!

bought on a lightening deal and the price was so excellent it was stupid (but do it again please amazon!!!!!!)A good sized bag with 3 proper compartments.Handles that are fairly round but very sturdy and fit easily and comfortably over the shoulder and under the arm.Can be used for all manner of occasions- work,swimming,gym,summer....never ending really.I bought the pink orchid and its a stunning colour.Not too pink and more verging on purple.It so summery but I can see myself using it for a splash of colour in winter with black.I really like the dottie print lining too - as lets face it when kiplin are on normal prices they arent cheap - a lining with a design is a bit ore designer.Reallywant the rose colour next (hint,hint amazon!!!)

I deliberated for ages before buying this and eventually bought one when it was on special offer. The bag is lovely, really roomy, the internal lining is pretty and you can find things easily in the bag, they don't disappear! The bag is also comfortable to use, does not dig in to your shoulder and it stays put. The material seems to be waterproof and wipe clean.I have only given it 4 stars because of the colour (I got lacquer DR Blue). It looks really different colours in different lights. Sometimes it looks deep blue, other times it is very bright purple. But as I tend to wear a lot of black, it is good to have a 'pop' of colour to brighten things up.

The color I bought is Dazzling Beige, it looks more brighter & lighter in picture than the actual product, where the "line pattern" is more obvious & color is darker, that's why 1 start is missing.It looks big & has a lot of space, but you can't store many things as you think it should be, but this doesn't matter for me as it still fit my purpose as 'office bag', looks elegant & easy to carry.Some reviews proposed a zipped compartment at the back, but I still prefer the current design, maybe due to the purpose of using this bag, an additional back zipped compartment not so nice as 'office bag, but may good for others outing.

I have 8 smaller bags, Defea, Severine etc., so I decided to treat myself to a larger bag and I am really glad that I did!! So glad in fact that I bought the Port Red one too!!It is so spacious and split into 3 separate compartments, the main one having a good, solid, sturdy zip, and the other two compartments have solid, sturdy poppers. It is a fantastic bag if you are going out for the day and have young children. Or even if you don't have children, it will hold everything you need.The fab bag will hold everything you could possibly need and more! It is made up to Kiplings usual excellent standard.I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Bought this as I needed a reasonably sized shoulder bag. Firstly, it actually stays on your shoulder and doesn't keep sliding off all the time. It also has 3 very roomy compartments. In the middle zipped one, there are 2 patch type pockets that would hold a normal sized phone and a phablet as well. There is also a corded key holder and the usual little zippered pocket too, The other 2 compartments have no pockets and close with a magnetic catch.Being Kipling, this bag has a high quality feel to it, very well made with attention to detail. I also love the fun but subtle 'monkeymania' pattern.

As others have commented this is a good everyday bag. Plenty of room for purse, phone, bottle of water and an umbrella, everything you may need for a day out to the museum or gallery. Brilliant for travelling on public transport as the fabric has a resilient wipe clean finish. I would however say that the lining, being nylon, has a cheap unsatisfactory feeling. But I suppose this helps to make it cleanable! I did, however, have to remove the horrible plastic/furry purple monkey keyring, who on earth thought this was a suitable embellishment for a bag for a grown woman?!

This bag combines the good size and lightweight feel that most Kipling bags have with a sleeker and more elegant line than most other Kiplings have (as my view is that they are mostly quite informal bags). I am grateful to the reviewer who mentioned that there were 2 external pockets that were cleverly disguised. I expect I would not have found them too quickly myself. I like the fact that these 2 outer pockets are not zipped as that makes for less fiddling. I just had surgery on one of my hands and I didn't realise that fiddling with zips on bags could be challenging.

I now own several Kipling bags, and this has to be my favourite so far! I was given it as a present for Christmas in Dazz Brown. It is classy, functional and attractive - it has already attracted many positive comments. It is the perfect size for me; easily holds my (Kipling) purse, glasses case, phone, camera (compact - which I carry all the time), with plenty of room to spare. Extra concealed pockets at front and rear also welcome. Fits well in the shoulder, over the arm or carried in the hand. What else can I say, other than I am thrilled with it...
