I made the leap from AMD to Intel.There is a premium price to pay but the performance is outstanding. Better to get this as it can work with a ssd PCI E which the 5820k cannot due to it being able to run 28 lanes only vs 40 for the 5930k. I coupled the chip with a asus deluxe and 32gb Ram. I have thrown everything at this PC and it does not even stutter. It roars through all tasks. I am so so impressed...in a word AWESOME!!!!!

Easily overclocks to 4.4ghz on higher end air cooling. Handles neural networks in Matlab very well. Weather its worth the money compared to 6700k? If you need a CPU for more than just gaming, it definitely is.

Honestly an amazing CPU it just shrugs off games that gave my old 3770k a hard time even without over clocking it.
