A perfume previously unknown from a brand previously thought to be mostly male-oriented. This 'Boss for Her' contains 30 ml, a size usually ideal for the handbag. Its pricing places it in the mid-high end.Fragrance is a very personal issue that some may favour, others not so much. While there is some familiarity with selected Boss male fragrances, those for the ladies were completely unknown and thought likely to be more floral although different and complex notes, herbal or citrusy elements were anticipated with woody and/or spicy notes possible at a lower level. The family member in mind as a recipient prefers floral and citrusy notes although she also occasionally hankers after woody andspicy notes and had used male fragrances of that character in the past.The initial and very potent notes are floral and immediately followed by very strong citrusy notes although not immediately identifiable to a specific fruit or blossom. There are some hints of lemon geranium or similar and the overall experience is quite heady. About 45 minutes or so after spraying onto a tissue, no specific third- or lower-level notes could be separately identified.To test its persistence, a single short spritz was applied to the back of one hand, lightly massaged and allied to dry. At several intervals over the next 10 hours leading up to midnight the hands were washed, more frequently than circumstances would normally require, and the fragrance still remained strong. On waking the following morning, it was perceptible but then quite weak. When applied to those areas where a perfume would normally be applied and not subject to frequent or excessive washing, it is probable that it will persist for a longer duration. The perfume would easily meet the requirement to be used for a long night out, or in.The fragrance may be ideal for the modern and probably professional woman.

For me, a great perfume is one that not only I love the scent of but that everyone around me loves too. Hugo Boss 'The Scent for Her' is one such perfume. Every time I have worn this, people have commented on how gorgeous I smell and what it was I was wearing-even my husband loves it and he never notices when I am wearing perfume! The smell really is divine. It is such a perfect balance between florals and fruits that is sexy and sensual without being overpowering or in your face. You could wear this in the day or for special occasions which is great as you only need one perfume in your bag to transition from day to night. I also think that this scent is great for a different range of ages as it is subtle rather than overbearing.The packaging is important for me as I like to display perfumes on my makeup table and Hugo Boss have done a fantastic job on making this perfume look chic with a very 'expensive' feel. The lid is a unique shape that gives the bottle character without it looking gimmicky or tacky. Even though I really do love both the perfume and the bottle it is housed in, there is an issue I have with this product. The longevity. I have found that I do need to reapply this perfume more frequently than others I own which is not great and results in the bottle getting used up quicker. Overall, even though there are problems with how long the scent lasts for once sprayed, the longevity issues are something I am willing to put up with as this perfume smells so amazing. Wow this perfume is simply gorgeous!When my parcel arrived I excitedly opened it and I was not disappointed! The box is elegant and feminine in a lovely shade of pink. It's simple but very effective. I opened the box and was blown away by how stunning the bottle was. The bottle is glass with a metallic lid it's sleek and sexy and looks amazing on my dressing table. I immediately had to try this scent and boy was I impressed! To me the scent is fresh and floral however it somehow manages to not be overpowering like a lot of other floral fragrances that I've tried. It's subtle enough to be worn through out the day yet manages to be perfect for an evening out (or in!) at the same time.I've been using this scent for over a week now and I continue to be amazed by how long it lasts. With most scents I usually end up having to put more on by lunch time or by mid afternoon at best. With Boss the Scent for Her I can put it on in the mornings and spend a full day at work, go for an evening meal with my husband and we can both still smell it. I've had no end of compliments whilst wearing this scent, quite a few of them from strangers and even from a shop assistant who begged me to tell her what it was. I think my husband summed it up perfectly when he recently said "you smell irresistibly sexy!" And honestly when I'm wearing this scent I feel irresistibly sexy! The box is a nude colour, the writing on the back is a little hard to read because of the colour scheme. The bottle itself is quite top heavy with the lid and the base is quite small. I love the smell though! It's feminine, summery, fruity/flowery smelling, just lovely! I am an absolute sucker for perfume (I normally have at least 3 on the go at a time as I get bored of the scents easily!). I have two perfumes I can't live without and thats Hugo Boss Deep Red & JPG Classique.Well that's now changed.When I received the perfume I immediately noticed its lovely bottle design; it makes it very easy to hold and spray where you want it. When sprayed, it has a gorgeous scent. I sprayed without reading the box, and immediately I could pick up peach. It's a gorgeous smell! Its not too sweet either. I wore it to work one day and my colleague immediately picked up I smelled different! Its a fragrance that I think can be for every day and also occasional usage; its very versatile.I personally have dropped my JPG Classique for this one going forward as I prefer it!Strangely after the first spray I read the back and picked up its seductive content. About two minutes later my other half popped his head round the door and asked what the smell was. I tols him it was my new perfume and he nodded and said 'Smells nice darlin'. Thats the first compliment I've had off him in MONTHS!All in all I cannot recommend this perfume enough. It is also very reasonably priced and the scent lasts a long time even with only one spray. First of all, i do love this perfume, but there are just a couple of reasons why i can not give it 5 stars.First reason being is The Scent does not last long on you, within about 20-30 minutes i can no longer smell the perfume on me, even though have sprayed quite a bit and then have to re apply more. Second reason is the lid to the bottle comes off ever so easily, the lid spins around when on the bottle, when been in my handbag, i have got to get it out to find the lid has come off. If the lid click on in place then it would of save a few sprays in my bag as hadn't realised it wasn't on. That is the only 2 negatives about this Lovely perfume.Now onto the positives. I love The Scent, smells amazing,floral & fruity which is lovely, i can not fault it, Not overpowering but could just do with staying on you longer. Just perfect for a evening out, for a meal or cinema along them lines or during the day for work or a lunch date etc.Also love the shape of the bottle, looks very elegant, not too bulky, easy to handle, looks pretty sitting on my shelf. I'm not a parfum expert, although I understand how the notes work. I arrived home with my girlfriend (who does know her parfums and has good taste), to find this had arrived. I couldn't wait for her to try it, especially as we've recently had bit of a fad with buying lots of parfum for each other. The bottle is elegant and certainly fresh looking, with the contents only increasing the beauty. One puff and we both knew it was a winner. There is no initial pong or overpowering scent that you need to wait to die down. Straight out of the bottle it's a definite yes. It's not the strongest of scents but it's longevity makes up for that. The closer you get to it, the closer you want to be.I spoke to my girlfriend today and she mentioned the parfum, her words were: "the parfum is so nice, it's beautiful, thank you"I'm happy, she's happy and she smells so good.I never actually checked out the price until writing this review, I'm amazed that it's so inexpensive.Hope I've helped and hope you'll enjoy the scent as much as we do.

Before trying out this perfume I was somewhat skeptical as to what should I expect with this cute little bottle.Turn out I was pleasantly surprised with not only the perfume but also with the bottle of the scent. It's such a feminine and girly colour, yet very elegant and a subtle shade of pink. The bottle itself is easy to hold, simple and chic. The lid is the cutest part, it's gold in colour and very easy to open. The scent itself has this subtle, sexy and very feminine touch. It's delicately sweet and lasts for hours. A few of my friends and family asked me about which perfume I was wearing as it's quite noticeable as being different.I would definitely add this to my trusted and favourite perfumes! Firstly, it looks amazing. The bottle is very chic, the perfume and box are a pretty colour, and the spray nozzle seems to deposit just the right amount of perfume.Secondly, the perfume itself. My skin can be very temperamental with perfume; sometimes perfumes that smell amazing on other people can smell like some kind of 'old people musk'. In the air, this perfume smells great. On my skin it is almost as nice, but does have a background aroma.Lastly, staying power. I found that this perfume has an average staying power. If you want to stay fresh, you'll need to carry it with you, though the bottle feels so sturdy that I don't think I'd be worried about throwing it in my bag!Overall, a nice perfume,just probably not the best for my skin. This perfume arrived in a beautiful pinkish toned box. The packaging is neat and pleasing to the eye. The bottle the perfume is in looks very nice however, it is a little chunky at the top and as this is a womans fragrance I feel it should be a little more delicate looking. Although that is being very picky!As for the scent, the smell is strong but not too overpowering. I feel like a transformed woman when I wear this fragrance! Another good thing is that it lasts a long time and I don't have to reapply too much.I shared this perfume with many of my friends all of whom also loved it as much as I do!
