My Huawei P20 Lite got dropped and the screen rather mangled. So, I decided to upgrade - and wow, what a difference!I am so pleased with this purchase. It has plenty of memory, a good display and the rear 'triple' camera is absolutely fantastic. The P30 Lite is surely comparable with other mobiles costing much more. At £182, this must be considered a bit of a bargain. Its a "factory" SIM Free UK device so there are no nasty and annoying telecom logos or additional 'bloatware'. The power adapter has the correct UK 3-plug and the screen comes ready fitted with a screen protector (albeit not tempered glass). I wish all manufacturers would do that! The mobile auto updated to EMUI (Android)10 on first power up. I then used Huawei Phone Clone to move data from the old to this new mobile. It did a reasonable job though about 20% of the APPs didn't copy (probably due to the change in Android version). So, it took about an hour to manually download and install the missing APPs. The good news was that device set up (eg. WiFi settings, contacts, screen layout) did copy across.I use a slim case and a wireless charging card. Wireless charging works fine and is reasonably quick.I also added a 128gb micro SD card - so I have plenty of space.I don't play many games on a mobile but everything I have tried works smoothly and well. Video playback is excellent.I have a Huawei Matebook D 14 2020 laptop so I am able to use 'Huawei Share' to connect to and control this mobile. Its great when working at home.If I wanted to be harsh, I could say that battery life could be a tad better. That said, it easily lasts a day and has improved after a couple of full charges - I just bung the mobile on my wireless charger when I go to bed.Overall, I am very chuffed and rather pleased....

I do like this new phone. It is very neat and lightweight. Quite easy to set up although getting the sim card in was a pain. You need the metal pin (provided in a card) but at first I didn't know what it was for as there were no instructions. It was also difficult to know which way the card went. The quick set up guide is very basic and I have learnt stuff as I have gone along. There is a tips icon which I found later. Things like calculator were hidden in a mini icon with a few other items. There is a great 3D panoramic view shot on the camera although my pictures are a lot lighter than the real thing so maybe there is a setting I haven't found yet,my sunsets are quite pale in comparison to my Samsung phone photos. The face recognition is ok, a bit hit and miss, if the lighting is different it struggles to recognise me, but you can put in a code if this doesn't work. The fingerprint was more difficult, it took ages to read mine properly (could have been my fault though) but after 2 days of setting it up and lots of frustrating backwards and forwards emails with security codes, it is now set up beautifully and I am very pleased with it, This would probably be the case of any phone setting up the security codes though.I am just waiting for my phone cover to arrive, I opted for the glass one as the colour of my phone is far too nice to cover completely, I got the blue one.As you can tell, I am not a techie type person so found some things fiddly to set up, but I am very happy with it, value for money for sure. I am not a big phone user so didn't want to pay a lot for the latest gadgets, half or more, of which I would never use, photos, texts and a couple of games is all I use it for, so I am happy with it all.

I ordered this phone due to the great reviews that it had. I've had Samsung phones previously and am not very techie but due to the price of this phone I decided to give it a go. I can't review it thoroughly as I have no idea how to use most of it. Ive downloaded the manual which is extremely long and ive not read most of it to date. I've managed to add my contacts and make calls and send text messages. I also managed to set up my email account so that I can access my emails. I am still struggling with working out how to answer incoming calls but that's my fault because I haven't read the manual. Ive set up the fingerprint recognition and find it easy to use. I've also used the camera but only to take very basic photos.Again I need to study the manual or remember to take my glasses with me when I want to take photos. Again that's me not the phone. My niece has this phone and she loves it but unfortunately lives to far away from me to educate me.The battery life is excellent. The volume is great. I never have any problem hearing the caller even without using loud speaker. It's early days for me with this phone but I don't regret buying it and I'm sure it'll be even better when I learn to use it properly. It seems to be able to do so much. Ive not used face recognition hence no stars given.

I wanted a high spec phone that looked and performed as well as a premium model without the price tag. You can now have this if your willing to step out of the iPhone and Samsung trap of paying over a grand for your phone. The Huawei P30 lite cost me £205 including a case and screen protectors. It's impressive looking right out of the box. The weight feels good and the phone feels sturdy and premium. The back of the peacock blue model is stunning and the screen is crisp, bright and has excellent definition. The phone was intuitive to set up and as easy to use as my Samsung in operation. The fingerprint scanner hasn't let me down once.I haven't had chance to really test the camera extensively but I can say it takes the best quality pictures of any phone I've had to date. There are no issues with access to Google products with this phone as it comes with play store, maps and all the expected apps. I really researched this phone before purchasing and you don't sacrifice much performance for the price tag. The foremost differencecompared to the flagship phones is the water and dust resistance and premium screen materials. I've had the phone 2 weeks and have no negative points to raise. I'm thoroughly Impressed and happy with my purchase.

I have had my phone now for just over a month. At first when I heard that the phone wasn't using google services, it did initially start to put me off but after some research, I have made the realisation that I don't actually use many google apps for my day to day. For example, I use Waze for navigation and I use built in email apps due to being able to add multiple accounts into it. There are a ton of apps available in the Huawei App gallery and I've noticed that it's forever being added to. For everything that isn't downloadable, there is an app called 'petal search' which basically searches loads of app stores to grab it from there. As for the phone itself, it is an incredible piece of tech for its'price range and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants a really great camera combined with a fantastic battery.Overall, the biggest thing that I'm sure will jump out at people is the lack of google but I honestly have had no issue moving away from it and definitely recommend everyone to look into the alternatives (most actually tend to be better in my opinion.)

This phone IS AWEEESOME FOR THE PRICE. I got the peacock blue p30 lite for £180. The phone has great battery life. I can play games and it will genuinely last for a long time (ofc will vary from people and typea of games and apps they use). The fingerprint scanner is instant! Like no lag when using it. The face rec is decent too, I prefer the fingerprint but I use both and they both good. The phone looks sexy as hell too. But its a fingerprint magnet, so buy a clear case in addition since UK models dont get cases. And oo charges really fast too.It does have a tiny amount of lag when there are lots of apps open but its only 4gb and ONLY for £180 its a no brainer. Obviously, there more expensive phones will be better no doubt, but this will do everythinf you want. And it has google play services too. Will update this review if anything changes.

After a year of using the Motorola e5 play (a basic but decent phone) I decided to splash out a bit more money but didn't want to break the bank. Bought myself a sim free Huawei p30 lite from amazon and have been impressed so far. Excellent display, very clear... Not as vivid as some high end phones I've used in the past but then this isn't a high end price. The fingerprint reader is excellent, very quick and responsive. Sound quality is a little poor due to mono speaker but OK with earphones. The camera is OK, not outstanding, but perfectly acceptable for the cost of the phone. Storage capacity is 128gb and expandable via micro sd card should you need it. The look and build quality is pretty solid.Overall a great phone if you're migrating from a low spec model but this model reveals its limitations with extended use. A solid 7 out of 10!

I have a P30 Pro myself which is awesome. I bought the P30 Lite as a surprise present for my partner who was using a 3 year old BLU. I can report the recipient is delighted with the responsiveness and photo quality, especially in low light. This is a lot of phone for 1/4 the price I paid for the Pro.My Pro updated to Android 10 in Jan 2020 and I believe that the Lite gets updated to 10 in March (if it matters to you).If you want to use an SD card, you'll have to use a nano SIM, so check your current SIM, and if it is a micro, get a nano one ready and do a SIM-swap with your network provider before popping it in this phone. (We did this with Giffgaff.)If SD card not needed, other people report a micro SIM works fine in the SD card slot.Delivery was quick and we had no issues at all.

I love this phone, I did have the p30 lite on contract but I dropped it in water and it was in there for 10-15mins before I realised it so that put paid to that phone,, so I was looking for a decent phone without paying ot a fortune and I settled on this one and at the time about a mth ago I only paid I think £149.95 not what it is priced at at the moment£189.99,i think but it's a great phone and now I wouldn't change my phone. I am due for an up grade in March and it will have to be a good huawei they offer me cos I don't want any other brand huawei has basically thought of everything u have plenty of storage 128GB to be exact finger print and face recognition,,,really it literally has everything and I just love it

The phone is excellent as this is the second one that I have purchased, although I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't state anywhere on the description that it already has a screen protector fitted. Basically I've ended up buying a screen protector when there was no need for it on both occasions. Only after it was delivered and fixed on I did a Google search just to check, and ALL Huawei phones come with a screen protector as standard, which is actually better than the ones available online because it is that hard to notice due to the excellent fit. I've now got a screen protector fitted over the top of another screen protector, which I suppose gives extra protection but in the end is really a waste of money.

I love this phone had it for a few months. normally when you buy a phone under £300 you think it is going to be rubbish. This phone is far from it. ignore what everyone says about about this company, they clearly have never used a Huawei device. The camera is fantastic, ease of use fantastic.not going to lie, it takes a little while to get used to something that doesn't use Google play. But once you know what you are doing not going to have any issues what so ever. Using there Appgallery and petal search is a game changer.when it comes to banking apps my apps came over from my previous device and just had to log back in.I could not ask for any more from a phone that is under £300.

I decided to change my old and terrible iphone 7 for this phone and honestly I can not be happier with the purchase! The battery life and the camera is the best thing ive ever seen in my life and the size of the phone is just perfect! Im never using other phone im gonna stick with haweii if it doesn't give me problems in the future.Ive only had the phone for a day so cant really say much more I still need to discover some more things. The only annoying thing is sometimes i get pop up adverts in google chrome but I Think I managed to block them!!Dont waste your money or your time buy this phone and u wont regret

Nicely designed phone I believe this replaces the P20 PRO as the features and spec are very similar but better and nicer to hold.Decent enough and priced very well. If your a fan of android then this is for you. If your looking for spec this will not go out of trend for a few more years it does alot that most up to date phones have and do.I'm a p20 pro user and brought the p30 lite as a gift and it actually feels and looks awesome and for the price I'm considering of going for the handset myslef. Very equipped and comes with a 128gb drive which is really good and the camera is Superb compared to others.

Love this phone. Just switched from Samsung Galaxy 8 as I don't want the curved screen anymore which is impossible to protect, and I can't afford the latest Samsung flat screen model. This phone is fantastic and there are no downsides to my swap at all, in fact the fingerprint reader is way more accessible and responsive, the wide angle camera is amazing, and I love the colour and feel of the handset. Once you get over the loss of familiarity of a brand like Samsung or whatever, you quickly realize this is a fantastic choice at a great price. I'm a convert! Very pleased. Battery life is also great.

Always been a Samsung user from the minute I was old enough to own a phone. After speculation since Huawei has developed and started topping the global market, I would NEVER purchase a Samsung again to be honest. I done a comparison check with the majority of the Samsung mobiles which are currently on the market, and even though the P30 Lite is a year old and a fraction of the price, the specifications of it still win hands down against Samsung.Cannot fault the supplier, from dispatch to out for delivery I was informed every step of the way by email regarding my Huawei. Top customer service!
