As others have pointed out, the word "Photo" in the product description is incorrect - the seller really should correct that. This is HP Superior Paper Glossy, which is designed for marketing materials and the like. It is not intended as a normal photo paper, although it does work very will with mixed text and photos as in a brochure for example. It would perhaps help if HP's naming of their different paper types and qualities were a little more straightforward, too.For its intended purpose however this paper is fantastic, and I've been looking for some more of this for quite a while now as HP seem to have discontinued it. It's a heavier weight (180gsm) glossy paper which soaks ink up far less than standard inkjet paper, giving crisper results and more vibrant colours. It's a good weight for promotional materials, and a colourful poster on this stuff will really stand out next to the same thing on plain. It can be printed on both sides and I find it particularly good for CD & DVD inserts. You will have to pick a suitable paper type in your print dialogue - hopefully there will be a "Brochure, glossy" or similar option, otherwise you might have to experiment a bit. Normal plain paper setting will tend to put too much ink on, and since it is less absorbent you may find it needs a little drying time before handling to avoid smudging. All in all though, when used for the correct purpose, this paper can produce some outstanding results.

Good product, I have had some sparkling prints from my Canon ix7000 A3 printer on this paper, I use the semi gloss setting and I love the printer. Excellent delivery time too from Amazon.I have an apartment in the Canary Islands and bought the unit from Amazon. They said it would take 2 weeks and would arrive from such and such a date. Sure enough, 10:00 in the moirning it arrived. I hastily unpacked the box and the printer took all of 2 minutes to set up. Using the Canon software provided, which loaded like a dream, I was printing my favourite photographs taken from my Canon D500 (also from Amazon). Wow, what great pictures, no lines, just good deep colour pictures. This is not the fastest printer but if you don't need speed and a little drying time it if really good. It is so good that I have bought another one for my home address. One more think, it only has the three colours plus grey and black, not the 9 colours that thye 9000 needs so it is cheaper to refill. One last thing, the software works perfectly with MS-Word especially labels where if you buy Avery or other named type on the MS Word label page then it will do whatever you want with either one, several or all labels, and it is so easy!Great work, love the product, wish you did refills for the inks.I hope this helps you.BTW: Amazon has a great price on it, well worth the try.

Get your print setting right and this paper is unbeatable for the price. As this comes across as photo paper its tempting to tell the printer as such - but be warned... this is likely to over saturate the paper and give poor results (changing the paper type changes how much ink the printer places on the page). As this is "only" 120gsm it doesn't want to be set to photopaper (which is the likes of around 300gsm weight). Instead leave the paper as plain and just increase the quality and lower the speed and the results are fantastic (you'll also use less ink). For example on my Brother printer (DCP 6690CW) leaving the paper setting as "Plain Paper" and upping the quality to "Fine" gives the best results...use of the photopaper settings simply makes everything too dark as their is too much ink.At 120gsm this paper is well suited for reports with graphics, photos, drawings etc. where something more than standard 80gsm is desired but the likes of 300gsm photopaper becomes excessive, but nonetheless could be used for good looking photoprints still but just won't have the heavyweight feel of real photopaper. The real question is - why don't all printers give paperweight settings???

As an Illustration Student who is strapped for cash this close to christmas, printing my artworks out for uni can be really expensive. I was a bit dubious about ordering this paper as for a lot of A3 photo papers (matte or glossy) you tend to only get 20 or so sheets for the same price as this product. I needn't have worried, as the paper is brilliant quality and my prints are fantastic! Wonderfully crisp images, bright, true to screen colours and the. Whiteness of the paper provides a beautiful frame for my work.I will certainly be buying this product again in the future and would highly recommend it for printing graphic and illustrative work.

I have tried many kinds of paper for creating replacement covers for CD's & DVD's/BD's, many are either too thin, thick, too glossy (stick to case)or not glossy enough to create that quality feel. This paper came in plain unboxed polythene with a paper insert, very no frills. When printed out using Undercoverxp (freeware software) on my Epson printer using the settings "Epson Photo" for paper "A4" size and "Best Photo" for quality, the results are really good, and when trimmed and fitted, it's hard to tell the difference. Make sure to use high quality scans for the covers though or this paper will show any poor resolution.Great Paper.Recommended.

I have been making photographic calendars for various family members fro some time, all of whom have enthused about their personalised versions. My main problem, however, has been finding the right photographic paper, as much of which will not accept print on both sides. This HP product is superb and my calendar production has taken a step up market with its use. At 180gsm, it is sufficiently robust for the holes punched through the sheets for hanging, with the help of gummed paper rings around the holes on the first four pages, to be hung without risk of tearing tearing the first few pages when they are bearing weight of the rest of them.

I used this paper to print the Orders of Service for my father's funeral. I was expecting to have to get them printed to get acceptable quality but in truth using this paper with my new HP Photosmart 5520 printer the quality was indistinguishable from print quality. The Order of Service included colour photos and text. I was amazed how well the colour photos turned out and the text was razor sharp. The 180 g paper is ideal for this sort of application - I printed on A4 and then folded the two sheets into an A5 size booklet which I then stapled. Very, very pleased and had many compliments on the finished result.

I'm an artist and just beginning to get into reproducing my original work. I was having problems - I thought - with my HP C4780 printer and the lack of quality it was giving me in reproductions. After a lot of research, I discovered that the issue was probably due to the quality of paper I was using, and, after yet more research, decided to go with this paper. I can't fully describe the difference that this has made to my illustrations. Not only that, but I've experimented extensively and it even takes drawings and watercolours beautifully. Can't begin to recommend it highly enough and have just ordered more!

This paper works perfectly and efficiently.I'd been swayed by some of the reviewers using it for printing off photographs. It is ok, but only really for trials, not for the final results.I was aware of the weight of the paper, though for some reason I'd expected it to be thicker. Maybe I was actually expecting matte photograph paper. But, what can you expect for the price? For the price it is excellent value, though better to keep to using it for text.Perfectly all right for circulars, etc. but not for 'best'.Be aware that this is NOT a substitue for true matte photo paper.

As a self employed consultant it is important to me that I present myself and my resources in a way that demonstrates quality. I needed to prepare some high quality trifold flyers to hand out at a business presentation where many people would see and hear me for the first time. I needed to print in colour on both sides of A4 glossy paper. This product was the first that I could find that seemed to meet my requirements. The results were outstanding in quality and people were amazed that I could produce such materials without resort to a commercial printer. An excellent product.

because my local Staples charge so much for glossy papers, I decided to look at Amazon's prices, I ended up buying this because it's so cheap (£6 for 100 sheets). Got it today and was surprised to see it's not as glossy as I thought, and when I flipped it back it was the same material. /Gasp, it's a double sided not-so-glossy paper! I don't print photographs but I print rendered photos. This for me is good enough because then I can save paper by printing on the other side. I'm pretty happy with this little disappointment :)

I wanted a double sided paper to produce photo calendars and thought HP 180gm Brochure Paper would be ideal. Wrong! If all you want is text and draught images you might be satisfied but for photographs the results are very poor. I went for a cheaper 220gm double sided gloss in the end. It gave great results. Since submitting this review I discovered a problem with the colour printing capability of my printer when using this paper. A new printer provided much better results so I am happy to upgrade to a 4 star review.

I have Canon Inkjet printer and this paper worked perfectly with it. I tried 4 different types of paper and this one was the best saturation and sharpness even to compare with Canson matt photo paper which cost more expensive for smaller amount. It's only 120gm but the quality is the same as on 250gm photo paper. I have to print a lot for my sketchbooks for design institute. It's insane amount of papers and inks, but this definitely will save your money.

Coated paper makes a remarkable difference with inkjet printers, colours are much richer and edges much sharper, the only shame is that it's too expensive to use all the time. Still, ideal for things like posters. Incidentally, it works fine with other brands of inkjet printer too, although you may need to tweek the colour settings a bit. 18 months ago I'd have given 5 stars but since then the price has increased by around 60% which is a shame.
