I always feel some anxiety when setting up a new printer in case it turns out to be a nightmare. This time, I sat down with a nice coffee and watched the superb set-up videos (just go onto HP) which made such a nice change from my usual not-reading-the-instructions (but then ending up having to read them after all) saga.I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it to connect to my broadband as I have very weak signal in my conservatory.I needn't have worried! It connected no problem, all I needed was my network password.I was up and running within minutes! So happy!I also have the Epson WorkForce WF-100W mobile printer but it drives me crazy with it's sudden decisions not to work at crucial timesso I thought I'd cut my losses and try this.I'd recommend this over the Epson Workforce portable printer any day for ease of use.Ink cartridges are expensive, we all know that. It is a scandal and all the printer companies are as bad about this as each other. One Standard cartridge contains just 4 ml of ink for approx £14. (a normal teaspoon is 5 ml); the 'high-yield' cartridge contains 12 ml for £29, so these are better value if you use your printer regularly. (I'm not talking about the cartridges which come with it, they contain tiny amounts just to get you started).Printer cartridges are not recyclable and all end up in land-fill. The answer (for non-portable use) is to buy the Epson Eco-tank printer (watch Matt Trim on QVC explaining in detail why). But, for portable printing I am very glad I bought this printer as it does the job very well and for the portability aspect I will have to put up with the landfill guilt and expensive cartridges.Btw, if you are wondering whether to buy the 200 or the 250 model, I emailed HP to ask what exactly are the differences between them. They said not much, but they thought the 250 might be a bit faster. This 200 model is definitely compatible with IOS Catalina (which is the latest operating system on Apple computers) and which I use. Obviously this printer also works with Windows PCs.If you buy this, do watch the HP set-up video! Saves a lot of time. Overall, highly recommended.(If this was helpful, please click the button).

Been looking for a while now for a nice small compact little printer, only to then find this little beauty ! at first i was back and forth checking out other similar machines as i felt that at the best part of £170 this was overly expensive for its functions, however it seems that all portable printers seem to have the same pricing range. Setting up the printer could not have been any easier, straight out of the well packaged box and the printer was literally setup in 5 mins ! connection to the WIFI network was a doddle !! as through the printers setup options you are able to manually enter your WIFI password meaning no more pressing the WPS button and praying it will connect !!after setup was complete you simply have to add the printer though the add printer settings on your PC and 2 mins later your ready to go !! printing speed is pretty damn quick for such a small model aswell. it can be switched onto quiet mode if needed but this little model really isn't that noisy, haven't had chance to try the WIFI direct printing option yet, basicly this is an option you can choose use, when no WIFI networks are present. however the one option that really sold this printer to me was that it also has a built in battery not sure how long it will last but means if you've got no plug sockets handy and you need a print out then no problem !! OVERALL FINAL THOUGHTS: a fantastic little printer, but a little bit too overpriced in my opinion. if you buy this model you certainly won't be disappointed ! :)

I bought this printer for my work. My old HP Officejet 100 was tired and slow and had pieces missing and broken from constant use. This little 200 series is great. Lighter and more compact than the 100, it is easier for me to carry in my computer bag.Printing is really quick and the battery life is long. I also buy the printer ink cartridges from my local Tesco, which makes life a lot simpler.I use the 200 with a cable straight into my laptop and I have never used the wifi connection, so can't comment on this. This printer also turns itself off if not used for more than 3-4 minutes, which I love because I constantly forget to switch it off and my old 100 would run out of battery. This is a tough and professional printer.

This printer was reasonable to set up but the included paper instructions are rather inadequate. If you are going to use it as a wireless printer which is it's main function just turn it on and select either wireless or direct. It also has a USB connection. Drivers for windows come on a CD but for Android or Ipad you are left to find your own. I had no trouble finding a good set of drivers for my Android devices. The printer itself is quick and quiet and produces good quality colour prints. The addition of the built in battery is really useful when out and about. The only negative points I could find were it's weight and size. For a portable it is a bit bulky.None the less it is a good machine.Well done HP.

I needed a portable printer but was worried I would have to compromise on quality. How wrong I was....... this is simply brilliant! It’s fast, quiet, battery or mains, small and very importantly has some weight and sturdiness.Still on my original cartridges after nearly a month average use. I purchased a spare pack of cartridges at the time I ordered the printer, but didn’t need to as seen to last very well.In all a nice well designed little workhorse of a printer which I actually prefer to use rather than a much bigger office machine we have, as it’s actually kind of fun to use!

We had previously purchased the OfficeJet 100 mobile printer from HP so obviously when it came time to adding a second mobile printer to our inventory our first choice was its younger sibling the 200 series model. Just like the 100 series, this printer is easy to carry around with you and won't cost you the earth in supplies. Print quality is excellent and print speed is equal. Make sure you have a USB cable if you aren't going to use the wireless printing option as, just like most modern printers, this one isn't supplied with one.

I was after a printer that just did the job. The most important thing was footprint, so it didn’t take over my desk. A rechargeable battery was also desirable, so I could take it to a different room in my house if I wanted to. The HP does this with also a nice looking design. The speed that it prints is also fine, but I don’t need to print out big documents. Connecting to the printer for the first time was really easy and being able to email the printer is a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Having to work from home due to the pandemic i needed a printer that was a fair price, small & of a fairly good quality, this one hits the brief perfectly.Ive read about the WiFi connection dropping out, so far so good as ive not had any issues, quite the opposite, be it my 2 macs, phone & ipad, all connected quickly & easily. The printer is fairly quick too, i wouldnt want to run off hundreds of copies, but certainly ideal for the average user.Would 100% recommend this product

A refurbished item that was better than expected upon receipt and works like new. Compact, mobile, easy set up via wireless or corded connection with a long battery life. If you need a quality printer for field work this equipment is the best I have used and would highly recommend to anyone who needs constant reliability.

Couldn't get one for love nor money from any of the major high street stores. Then there is ebay.Delivered at light speed, came before it would have been delivered by Currys,,,,, if they had been able to supply it.Amazing piece of kit, very, very happy, it does everything it state's on the tin.John.

I had a previous model of this printer. It lasted me for 15 years. This one is faster and the print quality is still very good indeed. The Wi-fi works well and so it can be a printer for any device accessing the network.Small foot print and light. So it can travel too.Good tough construction.

Excelent little printer, very easy to set up, compact, good quality printing, only concern for me will be the Ink costs, but if you NEED a portable printer that can run on batteries than something has to give somewhere. I Will obviously continue using my regular printer for home/office use.

Great printer. A bit expensive when you see how much desk top printers are, but worth the money if you need a travel printer. One bit of advise. If you are in a hotel which has two passwords to get through their wifi, it won't work. It has no software built in to allow a second password.

Years of hating printers and wishing they all came with a free hammer ended the day this arrived. Worth every penny. Don't waste anymore money on £50 printers, just buy it!Charges up quickly, battery lasts ages. Print quality spot on. Great little printer and well made too. Love it

A replacement for my old deskjet 460, only just died. If this lasts as long I shall be very happy. Easy to set up and works well. Unfortunately it does not speak to my MacBook Pro running OS10.7. but it should futureproof it more.
