Read a few negative reviews. I found everything to the contrary. The printer arrived on time. It was well packed. Once opened the instructions were clear and precise. And to the many negative and critical reviews about it being a nightmare to set up I found it just the opposite.I have owned many canon printers. Some have been a bit of a bind to set up, but the canon tr705 was a doddle. The easiest canon to set up wirelessly I have ever had. Print-out is good, speed is good and it takes up very little room. Disc printing is simplicity itself. No complaints whatsoever.

I bought this printer purley to print onto DVDs and CDs. Set up was an absolute doddle, its straightforward, so long as you follow the instructions to the letter. The DVD/CD tray was a little tricky to find as it's hidden under the print collecting tray. The print colours are bright as well. I also like the way you can print from your phone and is compatible with Alexa. You can change the quietness of the printer which is good. Double sided printing is a breeze and totally automatic once set up.

The printer is very easy to set up had no problem at all.The ink time takes about 15 minutes.The quality of the print is amazing. I have printed a couple of photos and they look like I’ve just bought them as pictures I have to say I’m impressed.The prints are fast and only slows down on textured paper.In terms of connections, it has a USB port but also you can print to it from Wifi,Bluetooth and even ethernet.As with any printer the price of the ink cartridges are a let down. Great for a desktop

Set up and printing was easy, quality is good, I printed a number of A4 photos. Uses A4 size paper max, can print on two-sides. LCD panel on front is difficult to see. Cartridges easy to fit, colour reproduction is good. Ink cartridge replacement costs are high, a pack of 5 new cartridges cost almost as much as the printer. A desktop printer giving good quality prints and quickly. An app can be downloaded to print from tablets and smartphones. Easy to use via internet and Bluetooth.

Loving the full-duplex mode and document quality is excellent. The paper tray is capacious enough and the wired network works perfectly, with the printer taking roughly 20 seconds before the first page is printed (from sleep). The quality of photo prints is surprisingly good for a non-specialist printer. I've been very happy with the 4x6 prints I've done so far and the second paper feed makes it really easy for the occasional photo or envelope print.

Bought this as a replacement for a broken printer. I looked at lots, read reviews, etc and this seemed like the one. It was very easy to set up and printing easy. However, I then discovered that what I had thought was the flatbed plate for scanning and copying was just where the ink cartridges go. You must download an app on your phone, take a photo on said phone and download to copy!! Argos refunded without questions! Thank you, Argos!

This printer is much easier to setup for wireless if you just discard the instructions and work through the menu to manually find your wifi and enter your password. Surprisingly there is no WPS button but this printer IS cheap. Print quality is fair for the pricepoint and from powering on, the printer is ready to go within ten seconds, unlike our last canon which seemed to impersonate a sony betamax VHS for several minutes.

Bought as replacement for Pixma IP7250. Good points are the print quality seems just as good, and it has a slightly smaller footprint and is much quicker to start up. Bad points are that it uses different ink cartridges, and options like disk label printing look rather more fiddly than the IP7250, and some of the plastic parts look more fragile. As we connect via a USB lead we have not tested the wireless connectivity.

The Canon Pixma TS705 represents good value for a printer when taking into account the build quality and overall specifications. This printer is one of the few now available that will print direct on to CD & DVD media. The 4 ink cartridge system means you only replace the ink that is needed and the large black cartridge for text printing is a good idea. Service & delivery from Argos was excellent so I can recommend!

The Canon TS705 is perfect for any home office, it offers all the capabilities of a traditional printer, but goes the step beyond with photo and paper printing options. The set-up is a little difficult to get to grips with and takes a while to settle in, however, once it is done it's probably the best printer your home will ever see. The quality of the print is fantastic, it's like having a mini professional at home.

If all you need is a printer for the occasional photo but mainly for standard printing of Word documents, .pdfs or web pages etc. then this is a good quality, low price alternative for which third party inks are readily available at half the cost of those from Canon. It is also beneficial that it uses separate yellow, magenta, cyan and black cartridges so you are only replacing colours that have actually run out.

We were looking for a printer to support the online resources for home schooling. This printer was very reasonably priced. I am not very technical, however this was really easy to set up with the online video instructions to follow. Printing is good quality and pretty fast for home use. We've printed out some photos to send to Grandparents without internet and they have come out well. Happy with the product.

People said this was a pain to set-up. If you can be bothered to follow the instructions it's not. Just dont plug in the USB until told ! After initial set-up all the ink levels go down 20%. I literally have to replace 2 ink cartiridges on day 3 of use.....although I was printing a lot of graphics etc....Even compatible inks are very expensive for this model. Gone are the days of the IP4600 range......

I have always used canon printers. The TS705 is as excellent as the other models. Like my old IP5000 it prints proper duplex and CDs. The print quality is perfect, my only comment is there is not the smoothing option for pixelly photos.I set it up as a lan printer on my ethernet and it promptly connected to my smart phone over the wifi and the laptops. I would recomend it to anyone.

Over all a decent printer. The Canon PIXMA TS705 Inkjet Printer is a good printer, it does what it needs to the print quality is good, It takes a little bit of time to set up but once done its easy to use and I haven't had many issues with it, its a good size and not to heavy, I would recommend purchasing if you want a printer With some modern elements.
