My daughter enjoyed playing with this doll in the bath. After attaching the tail and the lobster and fish, they swish about quite happily in the water after being wound up. You need quite a deep bath though, as the bottom part of the doll that's in the water measures about 6 or 7 inches.The tail is made of thin plastic, and it feels quite flimsy so I don't think it will survive many bathtimes. Apart from that the doll is well made and the raised pattern on her body is nice and pretty (and makes the doll easy to grip in the water).

As reviewers have all ready mentioned, this is more suitable for full baths, if the water is too shallow, it won't work very well at all.The product is nice and bright and has so far survived several uses without any damage. The toy is probably more suitable for the ages of 4-5 due to its repetitive nature.The doll spins well in the water.

My five year old niece loved this doll.She's very into mermaids at the moment. It's very pretty and colourful and works very well in the bath. It is a bit of a one trick pony however, but that didn't seem to put off my little niece who played with it both in and out of the bath. It's sturdy and well made and stands up to a lot of play.

To my mind, for £25 this is quite an expensive toy, especially a doll. Ok, so it has a wind-up mechanism so that the animals twirl around, she looks pretty and on top of that she can go in water too, I still think that, lovely as she is, it is a bit too much for what it is.

I can stand it, But then again I am a bloke and the only experience I have of mermaids is in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Hopefully my grand-daughter will like it but I have to wait until Christmas to find out.
