First thing to say, is that this Rapunzel doll is from Tangled : The Series, hence why she doesn't quite look like the heroine from the film, though I like her quirky look. The doll is not suitable for 0-3 years, and the recommended age is 5+.I have a feeling that how much your child likes the doll may depend somewhat on whether or not they like dressing and undressing their dolls and being able to pose them. The top part of the dress of this doll is painted on / part of the moulding and although the skirt is fabric, it actually conceals the twirling mechanism which comes all the way down to her "knees". (There is another version of this doll with a cheaper RRP (13.99),it doesn't have the spin and style mechanism so would be more suited to children who'd prefer an action figure type doll).In the packaging, this doll is secured in place with five plastic ties, and ten more hold the accessories, so make sure you have your scissors handy when unpacking. It's a pity the box isn't really reusable as it would have been nice to have somewhere to store everything before the smaller pieces inevitably go walkabout.There's a small instruction sheet which explains with the help of pictures how to style the dolls hair - they didn't make it that much clearer for me. My 4-year old likes her, she's a bit disgruntled about the weirdness under the skirt, but Rapunzel fits in well with her two hair-styling ponies. Personally I prefer the other Rapunzel doll which doesn't have the spin and style. It is currently more expensive than this doll but it's worth keeping an eye on the prices. It will depend on your child's preferences which would be the better doll to get.Overall - love the quirky design, hairstyling is pretty in, at our house at the moment, so she fits right in. Keep an eye on the prices or shop around as it seems to vary quite wildly in price. (Current price is 9.96, which seems reasonable, the RRP of 19.99 is too much for what you get).

This Rapunzel doll is from the Disney Channel animated television movie Tangled: Before Ever After and series Tangled: The Series rather than the feature length theatrical movie and as such, despite the events at the end of the 2010 movie, Rapunzel's long blonde hair has grown back which of course makes for much more fun in a doll for a child.The doll is wholly designed for the young child in mind over the collector, the bodice is painted on (partially disguising and enabling free movement for the twisting mechanism) which means no naked dollies- to me and my daughter this is a downside as she likes to redress her dollies (and I can't say a thing as I was exactly the same)but I know it is a common bugbear amongst other parents who dislike buying a doll for them to be stripped and put in something else within minutes of opening. This saves a lot of frustration redressing dollies (especially as this one has fixed hands!) for those who despair at this problem.The hair is also designed for younger hands too, my 4 year old is at that age where she wants to learn to do her dollies hair more than just brushing but doesn't quite have the motor skill and practice yet to braid effectively , the twisting mechanism helps give Rapunzel a fresh look with more control for young hands and the clips help to customise the look. It's less cumbersome than a 'head" styler and fits more in with existing toys and has additional play value too as imaginative play than just a styling toy.She's reasonably well articulated for the price point AND the painted on bodice with elbow joints too but collectors or children who have DC Super hero girls or the Made to Move Barbie range that both have full articulation plus removable clothes may be disappointed they don't get the same with Rapunzel... But for those who just want Rapunzel to play as Rapunzel in Rapunzel's purple outfit will be very pleased.

Rapunzel is my daughter’s favourite Disney Princess and so she was delighted by this. However, I do feel that the doll has some limitations in terms of play value. Firstly, Rapunzel cannot be dressed and undressed – her bodice is painted on and you squeeze her bottom half to make her middle twist and, therefore, spin, so you can style her hair. She does stand alone and comes with a hairbrush, two clips and six plug in styling accessories.You push the plug in clips into Rapunzel’s head and then, if you braid her hair, you can press her bottom half together to make her spin round and, theoretically, make a braided bun, which holds with a clip. We found you really needed to use hair bobbles to hold these properly,as they just fell apart with the clips. Also, the movement of the doll is jerky and she makes a fairly loud clicking noise as she turns.Children always like styling dolls hair and Rapunzel certainly has the longest hair to play with. So, if your child enjoys hair styling, this should be a hit. As a doll, the design means that she is not as mobile as most, due to the turning mechanism. However, she looks nice and she is good fun to play with, if somewhat limited in terms of what she does.

This tower is fairly easy to construct, with the pieces clipping together. The only furniture is a plastic bed, but there are also a few small accessories – there is a painting, a small plastic case, artists paints, plus brush, Pascal, hairbrush and a basket. There is a small ‘lift,’ which Pascal can ride in up to his little space in the tower. The novelty is that Rapunzel clips inside a ‘swing,’ of her hair and she then slides down from the top, to the bottom, of the tower.With the new “Tangled,” TV series, “Rapunzel,” (always my daughter’s favourite Disney Princess) does have a new lease of life and this will be popular. It is quite basic for what it is. The tower has an opening door,the bed is on the ground floor (obviously not correct in terms of the story, and requiring some imaginative play to explain why she doesn’t simply walk out, but the space could not be wasted I suppose). I doubt such concerns will worry young children anyway. Although there are few play pieces, it is easy to put together and the doll is nice, with a slightly different skirt (pictures of animals) and nice long hair. Sure to be a winner and the hair swing/slide is a nice extra.

My Children love the new TV series Tangled which is on the Disney channel. The series follows what happens to Rapunzel and Flynn in Corona after the movie ended and so my Daughter literally squealed when this doll arrived.This doll is really sweet and has a spin function that spins her top half around when Rapunzel's skirt is squeezed. Rapunzel's hair is longer than the doll is tall just like her on screen character and the doll comes with a mini Pascal that can sit in her hair along with 5 other hair accessories, 2 clips and a brush.Rapunzel's top half is painted rather than removable clothing but this is painted very nicely with some nice detail.This Rapunzel doll is a little cartoon looking as opposed to the

I got this for one Disney Princess obsessed daughter and as expected it has been a big hit. It's not wildly different from your standard Disney doll - great attention to detail and workmanship and plenty of accessories. The big twist, pardon the pun, is that you twist Rapunzel's waist allowing her hair to be styled almost magically. You can braid by stretching the hair, squeezing the bottom half, and watching the doll spin and hair twist. The rest of the figure doesn't move much aside from putting her arms in different poses, but that hasn't stopped my girls from playing dress up and style with her and the other Princesses they have.Just beware of kids trying to manually twist the figure the wrong way.

My Niece is a huge fan of Rapunzel and Tangled and at 5 is crazy for anything to do with the franchise. It is easily this years favorite Disney princess for her. So if you have a young girl who like my niece loves Tangled then you should really consider buying this.It has been a big hit with her and her friends so i think there will be at least two orders this Christmas i am sure.As you expect with a kids toy it comes in a few pieces and assembly is required, this took me about 5 minutes in all and was not the worst i have had to do by any stretch.Overall if the child loves Tangled they will love this, the doll spinning down the tower on her hair is a big hit in one household.

My youngest little girl loves Tangled and all things dolls so this is great for her. The fact that her body is the twisting mechanism is great as it means that you wont lose the device to twist her hair. Its not the most fluid of actions and its a little noisy but its a good price and i reckon it should last a reasonable amount of time, though I reckon the mechanism will eventually go after a year or so. Clips and other accessories are all good but a downside to her body being the mechanism is that her clothes are painted on the top half to no clothes swapping (the importance of which in this household can not be understated!)

This is the main character from the Disney film Tangled a.k.a. Rapunzel. She's a poseable figure with enormous eyes and freckles. She has very long, bright-blonde hair, which you can style and comb. She comes with her own brush, a couple of hair clips and six plastic hair ornaments. If you squeeze her dress, she pivots around the waist.She's not a doll you can dress and undress because her bodice is painted on rather than fabric. She's a fun action figure for little girls who like the film character. The box is labelled as recommended for five years plus. Why four stars? Pricewise, shop around.

Needless to day (for a Rapunzel toy), this doll has terribly long hair which your child can style. The styling mechanism is built-in (if you squeeze Rapunzel, she spins) – this has the advantage that there is no key accessory to be lost.Any disadvantages? Her clothes are painted on so you can’t dress her.You get a number of accessories – two hair clips, a brush and six hair inserts including Rapunzel’s pet, Pascal. The inserts allow your child to get creative with the hair styling, for example wrapping braided hair around them.

Rapunzel is our daughter's favourite Disney Princess. This doll is made with amazing detail and created with all the whimsy and detail you would expect.You can spin and design her hair as she turns, creating the perfect princess style. This includes hair clips and accessories. You cannot dress and undress her, which did disappoint our littlest but she quickly got over it as she played along with her other dolls.This is a well made and adorable doll.It does recommend for ages 5 and up due to small parts.

This is a fun and very quirky Disney Rapunzel doll. She has a funny expression on her face. There are lots of hair accessories for making her hair look eye-catching, with clips and styling pins. You spin her body to make some of the styles. M loves dolls and their hair is very important. She loves this and spending time playing quietly is important for her. You can't change her clothes with this doll, as they are painted and fixed. I think it's a great idea for kids who like to play with hair designs.

Its Disney, its princess what more do you want? From the Tangled cartoon franchise.A simple, colourful bright and great toy which will provide many hours of amusement for any young girl fortunate enough to receive this wonderful. Very well made perhaps a little on the expensive side, however if you want to purchase a branded toy then you will often have to pay a slight premium. No batteries required (thank goodness) so hours of fun without the fear of batteries needing replacement.

This was a Christmas present for a younger one.It's bright, clean and very playable, although some of the accessories shouldn't be left with the very youngest.It's very pink but, hey, it's Disney. If your young'un is into Disney princesses, that shouldn't be a problem.If you've got a five year old's imagination, this is also good for playing stuff from other films too. Maybe mortar practice for older brother's Action Man as well....

Your kid like dolls and likes to do hair? Why not bring the two together and play hairdresser with Rapunzel?! This is a nice set with a cute doll. One thing though, the doll does not look a lot like the character in the cartoon, which I find a little odd for a genuine Disney toy. Anyway, this is good fun and will keep your kid occupied for a bit.
