This Baby Alive doll is very cute, with blonde hair, big blue eyes and a pretty, blue dress. She comes with two spare nappies, a little ‘sippy’ cup/bottle for water, a comb, spoon, two packets of food and a blender. The doll herself is simply dressed and her hair is tied back with two elastics. You can comb and style this, but I was a bit surprised to see the hair was somewhat thin at the back. Also, there is no change of clothes and, more importantly, no bib. I would say a bib is essential, as we received packets of food which were ‘broccoli’ and ‘pear,’ both of which would have stained the dress, had they fallen on it. This is messy, but luckily we have lots of baby things in our house and a bib was easily found. If you don’t have one, then you could use kitchen towel or tissues, but do use something and make sure the doll is sitting somewhere you can easily clean up.This doll will wet/soil her nappy and my little niece loved feeding her and cleaning her up. You can buy extra food, which is not too expensive, and my niece preferred using a bowl, rather than feeding directly from the blender, but that is not included. The mixer has a line and you fill the water to that point and then add the powder. Mixing it is great fun, but feeding baby can be messy (which is realistic at least!). Talking of which, you will need to invest in more nappies too and, probably, some baby wipes to clean up the by-products of the powder! Overall, a little basic, but good fun, even if it requires a few extras.

My three year old granddaughter absolutely adores this doll 'Sweet Spoonfuls Blonde Baby Alive Girl' ... the doll that feeds, drinks, pees and poops. The doll itself is a really cute blonde haired girl doll who measures 35.6cm in height and comes dressed in a pretty blue dress and hair with two pink elastic bands holding two small cute pigtails.Included with this Baby Alive doll are:2 x proper nappies1 x pink spoon1 x pink feeding bottle1 x yellow and green food mixer with mixing handle2 x packets of food (dinner and dessert)1 x purple comb(More of the food and nappies can easily be purchased from Amazon)My granddaughter was able to mix the food by herself which is simply a case of mixing thepowder in one of the sachets into a small amount of water which produces a rather disgusting looking wet food. Using the spoon my granddaughter was easily able to feed 'her' baby. She was also able to give her baby a drink of water using the bottle. Now, here's where the fun starts ... Feeding liquid from a bottle causes the doll to pee into her nappy on all over the table if she isn't wearing a nappy. Feeding the doll the food causes the doll to poop slimy green stuff either into her nappy or again all over the table. This looks pretty disgusting and my granddaughter was delighted. All in all this Baby Alive is a good quality doll and offers plenty of imaginative and fun play for any child who likes dolls.

A doll that is durable for young hands; there is a toy mixer/bottle and pretend food and the baby soils and wets its nappiesThe good:There are boy and girl dolls, and there is a range of hair/skin colours available. The hair can be combed and styled. The idea of the child feeding the doll is a good one, The bottle only drips water very slowly, and the bottle is fairly firm plastic, so no sudden squirts when not expected. The food mixer, bottle and spoon are useful accessories as little children do like to copy what the adults are doing, as well as using their own imaginations.Encourages understanding of the liink between food and its consequences, and of baby care.Lots of opportunities for an older toddler to ask questions! The not so good:Only two sachets of food and two nappies. Extra ones are available to buy, but half a dozen would be more in keeping with the 3+ age range - many 3 year olds enjoy (and need) repetition, so two nappies will not last the day and if this is an unexpected gift, no chance to get more, so tears may result! Not very easy to be cleaned - this puts me off using the food very often! The doll is made of very hard plastic, which may be good for durability, but is not very soft for little ones to handle.(Personally, I am not a fan of the faces - eyes overexaggerated and very unrealistic.)

Baby Alive Girl Sweet Spoonfuls is a sweet little doll which has a special quality of actually eating from a spoon and drinking from the bottle. It has accessories which really add to the enjoyment of the doll which is the little mixer for the food sachets and the bottle and spoon, and even little nappies which are very like the disposable nappies which are used for babies. Our little girl loved this doll as she liked having her own little baby to look after. For me personally, I was rather disappointed in the very fine and light dress plus the hair on the doll was not easy to style as it had a very acrylic.texture. The body of the doll is very hard, but for the price, this is a good quality doll which all little girls will love.Of course the food sachets were one item our little one loved but I have to say I hated as the green slime which was messy and rather hard to wash out of a white cotton -Shirt. I was terrified of it staining the carpet so I do not think I will be purchasing these separately but for those interested these can be bought here

This is an interesting one to review because as a parent I wasn’t convinced but our 6 year old absolutely loves it. Baby Alive has been around for decades so the concept isn’t new. You get the doll with water bottle, food mixer, 2 nappies, brush, spoon and food (broccoli and pear). One of my issues is that you only get two nappies and two food sachets. You can buy spares (search for “Baby Alive E0302EU4 Powdered Doll Food” and “Baby Alive C2723EU40 Diapers Refill Pack” on Amazon for examples) but it can start to get expensive. Our daughter loved It. Preparing the food, watching it “reappear”, brushing hair etc. I’m not sure I’d encourage regular use of the food side to the doll as it is a bit messy. The doll looks rather ugly and weird to me but our 6 year old expert didn’t agree so what do I know! One thing that is nice about the company is that they are trying to appeal to both genders in their dolls and marketing which is to be applauded.

Little ones love to play ‘let’s pretend’ , to use their imaginations and this little play set is good for this. The little dolly is pretty and small enough for a child to carry around. It can be undressed and have its hair brushed. The set comes with a spoon and mixer cup to pretend feed the dolly or to mix the powder sachet to produce ‘real food’, children don’t care which, also a bottle which can be used to pretend the dolly is drinking from or fill with water. Two play nappies are included and if the play food and water are fed at one end the inevitable happens at the other end which can be a bit messy but little ones find fun even if mum doesn’t! This set and others like it have been around forever and children still love them, love playing imaginative games with them and it encourages them to understand the world around them and everyday happenings a bit better.

This Baby Alive doll from Hasbro actually looks a lot better in the flesh than in the Amazon picture. Where I think she looks a little strange. But in actual fact her face is kindly and baby..ish with big bright eyes and a slightly pouting and smiling mouth. She comes with various accessories (hairbrush, food mixer, diapers, feeding bottle, etc). Which can actually be used .....yes even the diapers. She is well put together and appears robust enough to withstand many hours of child play. Out 4 year old granddaughter loves her and carries her around everywhere she goes. Lots of fun and education for the younger aspiring mum or dad.

My daughter loves this doll and has played with it for hours. The novelty of it eating food and then pooing has delighted her. We tried to make our own diy food but was a disaster and clogged her up so have purchased the food separately from amazon to top up. Where a saving can be made is on the nappies. I bought size zero own brand nappies for less than a pound for 24. They are a bit big but fit ok. Using half a sachet of the food at a time and the cheap nappies makes it have much more longevity. Pleased with purchase. Daughter loves it.

My daughter loves this toy... I do not.Its great for keeping her entertained however means I need to ensure there is the right amount of water in the mixture, even then it doesn't mix fully and you see little bits throughout it. Then the nappies are huge and despite other reviews saying you can reuse them.. You definitely cannot. The doll itself is pretty good and it does what it's supposed to do in terms of occupying my 4 year old. I would recommend it but also get the extra food and nappies as they don't last long.

I got this ( I am nine ) and my mum bought this for me. I think this is really good for the money however you can't really reuse the nappies and the packs are really expensive get 75p nappies from aldi. I recommend to only use half a packet at a time. The food packets do run out quite quick so I would mix baking soda, water and food colouring for baby food. The doll does have lovely hair that doesn't fall out.I think that this is definitely worth buying.

My daughter had fun playing with this doll. It's food is green and so are the poops! I find the food and nappy replacements a bit pricey for what they are so I bought her just a pack of spare food and a pack of Pampers premature nappies for it. The Pampers are a little bit too big but because they are absorbent she was happier with them than the ones it came with as it's less messy. This doll arrived quickly and I would recommend.

This doll is different – you get to make a feed, and then both feed and change the doll’s nappies. The feeding can get rather messy. You really need a doll’s bib for that – bibs are not included in this set. This is one of those products where you use up the accessories (food and nappies) so you will need to buy replacements. Both are available on Amazon. For the nappies, you will have to search for “Baby Alive diapers”.

My daughter loves this toy - she happily mixed up the baby food and fed the food and water to the baby, getting excited when the baby did what it had to do and it came out the other end.The food is an odd green colour which gets stuck on the clothes easily, although it washes off.I was a bit disappointed there were only 2 sachets but no real complaints. My daughter also likes this for her doll collection in general.

21.7.2020

Lovely little baby, my daughter carriers her around all day, but the baby alive nappies don't hold the dolls toilets.. so i bought prem baby nappies which works better but still doesn't stop them throwing up a little straight after they eat. If anything this makes the more realistic but my daughters bedroom walls look like shes had a exorcism in there, so just be aware supervision may be needed throughout feeding times

2.8.2018

Overall this a great, very realistic doll. To feed it you simple mix a powder with water and off you go, the realism here is top notch as it's messy as feeding a real baby without the struggle. The doll only comes with 2 nappies and strangely no bib which isn't a massive issue as we re-used old items we had in the house. Baby wipes are a must and you will need more nappies but a cheap set from Lidl worked fine for us.
