These boards are nice and robust and my 4 year old has had lots of fun "beading"; he especiailly likes the dog (we have had some amazing technicolour creations). His brother (5 1/2) although normally on the midi beads has enjoyed "helping" (taking over) with the duck. The only down side is that one or two of the spacings of the pegs mean that it is a tight squeeze to get the beads on. These are good for 3 to 4 year olds = but much more expensive to create a number of bead animals/ patterns compared to the midi beads.
