I went round my freinds house. At school he had been going on about this game called Guild wars. He had even bought in the instruction manual. At that point i was playing on Runescape and wasnt too interested, but it looked like a good game. Also; i was reluctant because at that point, my Pc was the worst computer for seroius gaming. Runescape was Ok as it works on virtually any computer windows 98 above.I saw this game and created a player. I went through the tutorial and learnt the bacics. My freind had all of the Expantion packs and so it was a good game. Altough i got a laptop for christmas 2007, i still was reluctant.Then something happened that competly changed my mind.My Runescape account got hacked and i had already got bored as i was not a member.I decided i needed a better online game. I looked at World of Warcraft but that was out of the question. I had seen it at my freinds and the grathics are rubbish. The whole feel was gritty and reminded me of the reason why i dont like Lord of the rings. Then i remembered Guild wars, how great the grathics were, the beatiful, japenese feel. Guild wars is beatiful and although i do not have it, i'am definetly going to get it!And i foregot, its free! World of warcraft costs over £30 and a £9 fee per month! It is not worth it.The people that say on the forums that this game is rubbish, you are more whong than Hitler. Everyone who plays word of warcraft is arrogant and rude, and i dont want to play a game where there are 7 million people like that. I may not have it but being in a school where there are thousands of people who somehow have the money to pay for it, i think i already know what WOW would be like if i played it.There is another issue. My two freinds who played it have quit, my best freind has moved onto WOW, and i hope he doesnt get that taint. My other has dissapeared from runescape and Guild wars and what he is playing now, goodess knows what. So i will be on my own. But somethimes it is better to go alone, as i' am soon to find out...

As someone who only semi enjoyed the previous 2 Guild wars installments ( Prohecies & Factions ) I'm really pleased with this one , it is is much more varied & fun .The addition of the new heroes ( customisable , stronger henchmen ) add a lot to the game & add a real feeling of achoevment when you unlock them - they also make playing without other players more viable if that's your thing , so you can play Nightfall like a single player RPG or more like an MMO ( people argue if it technically is one or not but you can play it more or less that way if you choose to ) .The storyline is really deep & long ( interesting & not just something to click through like many games ) .It's in an African type setting (a nice change if you're burned out on the Orcs & Goblins of other games ) .It really does live up to the cliche easy to play hard to master ( a bit harder than prophecies easier than factions in my opinion ) .The graphics are excellent ( the sound is pretty good too ) .Suitable for both heavier & more casual gamers ( you can progress at your own pace & even make an instant PvP character straight off the bat ( info for those who havent played guild wars before ) .The combat is really intense & fast paced ( it makes WOW look like your granny on valium , particularly if you're comparing playing solo in the 2 games ) .No monthly fee & your characters can travel to the earlier 2 games if you have them .Combining primary/secondary classes & skills means you can come up with almost any type of character you want to & change things round easily if you go wrong ( no being locked into bad choices ) .Tried to think of something bad to say about this game but couldnt come up with anything ( rare for me I'm normally pretty good at that bit :) ) .Overall totally recommended ( but might get you into trouble from wives,girlfriends,parents,teachers that've set you homework or anyone that wants your attention really if you let it ) .

A great RPG with no monthly fees. This is not a poor man's World of Warcraft. If that's what you're expecting then you are going to be disappointed. Nightfall is the best of the Guildwars series but, if you want to build the best characters and heroes possible, you will need to buy the entire Guildwars range.Guildwars strengths over World of Warcraft:o GuildWars is much faster than WOW and takes up far less of your time.o GuildWars PvP plays better than WOW PvP. (PvE is weaker but still fun)o The GuildWars community is much friendlier than WOW.o Changing skills and secondary profession is much easier and less costly in GuildWars.o No montly fees

Great game. A little dated now but still a lot of fun. The only thing is that if you don't have any of the guildwars games get a trilogy or complete set pack. This is good for those who already have the other ones.For those who do not know, this game is an online only game. All you really need is the key code inside the box, you can download the rest. This code works in the US even though it is a UK box and is exactly the same as the US version once you are in the game. It was listed at half the US version (my guess is because people don't know this) making this the best deal on amazon for Nightfall alone."

A good story line with similarities to the 1st release.many missions you can do with your hero's and henchies, but of course it is better if you can find a real person team and enjoy the game more.A sad point is that many PvP areas have been left out of this game, a throw back to the fact Anet supports 'leeching' as exceptable, which caused many players to abandon the factions campaign .on the whole a good improvement, hopefully the next game release will also be accompanied by better customer support to the game, then maybe they will earn top marks

I BELIEVE THIS WILL BE A VERY GOOD GAME. I HAVE ONLY HAD A QUICK LOOK AT IT SO FAR. I INTEND TO GET INTO IT PROPPER IN THE NEAR FUTURE. OTHERWISE I AM CONTENT. I GOT IT AT THE RIGHT PRICE. I RECEIVED GOOD AND EFFICIENT SERVICE.

Bought the original Prophecies campaign, so this was always going to be on my wish list, I ended up buying all the campaigns in this series and absolutely loved them all, still playing now some 10 years after the event!!

As a lover of Guild Wars 1, I had to get this to complete my collection of it. I would certainly recomend this to any MMO player. Who wants a great game that you do not have to sub for or do mirco transactions either.

the game is brilliant and works fine after i had to talk to ncsoft,s tech team cause the key for the game would,nt register but after couple emails its all good now

This is a great MMORPG! This is one of those games you can be good at in an hour and never finish all of the challenges and missions!
