Very pleased with item, it looks great on the ipad 2 and in my opinion actually improves the aesthetics. I also think the way the cover slots into the back is more stable than the apple alternative. The fit is perfect and the back clicks into place so there is no way the iPad could fall out.After seeing my friends apple smart cover I much prefer this cover for several reasons:-the back protection is a great idea and stops the case from falling off as did a few times with the apple smart cover, whilst providing really good protection from dropping it or scratching as I find apple products have a tendency to scratch on the back though I cant say for sure that that is the case with the iPad.-the

I wanted a case that protected the back aswellas the front of the Ipad 2, didn't make the Ipad 2 bulky, and still allows access to ports and buttons etc. This does all of that.The auto turn on / off feature works well when opening and closing the case.The cases folds to form a stand, this can be orientated 2 ways, 1) Nearly flat, to allow you to type at a comfortable angle, or 2) Upright, to watch films /tv etc..I've found that you can also stand the case on its edge (as long as you aren't charging it) quite safely, which means you can lock the screen orientation with a film on, place the Ipad 2 on your bedside table, then lay on your pillow, the screen is now the correct way for your eyes :)My only small criticism with the case,

I had been searching for a suitable case for my new iPad (3) for a week since its launch and was fighting the temptation to spend £35 (!) on an official smart cover. I not only wanted protect the screen but also the back of the device, I had almost given in to temptation but then spotted this little beauty. Griffin is a name you can trust, I sell their products so new it would be excellent quality and I wasn't disappointed. The flip over, smart cover style front is great and combines perfectly with the back to double as a stand. You may read reviews on certain smart covers claiming that they don't work with the new iPad due to the polarisation of the magnets and not turning the screen on and off when closed or opened,

Nice product and does exactly as it says. My ipad has never slipped out of the case - so ignore that review. The product is solid and very protective and always sends my iPad to sleep when closed over.Why 4 stars. The plastic on the back does make it feel a little tough and this makes it a little bit fiddly to get it to stand fully upright. Although great for using this way on trains.Overall recommended and better than the official iPad cover for protection anyway.

I had my first griffin case for nearly 2 years before I damaged it enough to get a new one. I ordered my second without hesitation as I think this is the best cover you can buy. It has protected my ipad against countless drops and bumps, it's far cheaper than apples covers and it protects both the front and the back while maintain the iPads sleek shape. I would recommend this product to any ipad 2 owner as it's cheap and very reliable.

I've had this item since Christmas and it looks as good as it did the day it was bought. The hard case provides excellent protection for your iPad whilst the soft folding screen cover folds two ways to provide a slope to type on or stand for watching photo slide shows or TV/movies. I'm really not sure how a more expensive cover could improve on the look or design of this one. So glad I bought it!

After having searched a little unsuccessfully for a simple slim case for my 'new iPad' or iPad 3 I took a gamble on this as Griffin listed it on their US site as compatible.So did my gamble pay off? Yep.Works well, very snug fit on putting the iPad in but it works a treat and looks great. Not sure I would have paid the full price for the product but at £20 ish its a bargain.

Having scoured the internet for a nice looking, durable and practicle case for my iPad 3, I came across this one.The product ticked all the boxes for me, however when fitting the case you have to be careful with making sure the iPad is securely fitted in the locking clamps as the clamps are not very big.I am very pleased with the product and would recommend it.

This cover maintains the slimness of the iPad2, whilst giving strong protection front and rear. I love the switch on switch off aspect of it as well as the two reading positions it offers. I don't know how they could design this next idea, but I wish the front could be made stiff as well so that reading the iPad2 on your knees would be easier. A great product!

Great product well made and certainly protects my iPad. Can just chuck it in my bag without having to be too anal about what else it might be resting against.Not quite as tactile as the apple equivalent but then that does not protect the whole of the iPad.Would buy one again.

The casing was a little damaged but it still protects more than the apple one does (this one protects the back as well as the front), even though being designed for the iPad 2 it also fits mine which is an iPad 3.

Absolutly love this cover as its slim, lightweight and rather sturdy. I've tried various other covers and this is defo my best to date. Dropped iPad too many times and still in gr8 condition. Top marks from me

This is a really great cover for i Pad..It looks very neat and sleek and is not bulky ...excellent value . The i Pad fits snuggly in it and doesn't slip about like In similar products .

Very good fast free delivery. The item is very good, offers some protection without obscuring the camera and buttons and turns ipad off and on when the cover is shut and opened .
