Unfortunately, the case I recieved had the packaged damaged but the case itself wasnt "damaged" as in broken, but it did come with this long scratch mark on the back of it. Yeah, that kind of sucks being brand new to me but it's not going to effect the performance of the product. So anyway, I have this type of otterbox case on my last tablet and loved it. Because it comes with an extra hard plastic piece that doubles as protecion and as a kick stand. So I purchased the same kind of otterbox case for my new tab s6. I feel very protected with this case. I like that it has a plug to seal up the charging port to keep dust out and all the cutouts line up perfectly.  Everything fits nice as snug as it should.I would never feel comfortable paying this much for a case but it is completely worth it especially when the tablet itself was +$600, youd want to have an expensive case for it as well.Only one thing. The built-in screen protector does not allow you to use the fingerprint scanner built into the screen of the tablet. I know some people have said they have no problems but I also see a lot of reviews saying the opposite. That's one of the reasons why I bought this tablet to begin with was to use the fingerprint scanner as security. I ended up taking out the built-in plastic which was not difficult at all and I stuck on the tempered glass protector. This isn't something I normally do with my devices bc the built-in screen protector helps against spilling of any liquids and keeps the liquid from getting inside the case.  But with a tempered glass screen protector, any liquid will easily get into the rest of the case. But honestly I'm happy with this decision because the tempered glass is more slick feeling, feels great with my fingers and much easier to use the S Pen, more than likely will also be less friction on the tip where I won't have to change it as often. However, with the tempered glass on instead, the fingerprint reader doesn't nessesarily work 100% of the time, but still way better then 0% of the time with the built-in plastic.Otherwise I highly recommend this particular OtterBox tablet case. Unfortunately there are other OtterBox tablet cases but they're just like the cases for your phone where it's just one big piece of hard plastic that wraps around the back half of your phone/tablet with no protection on the front side except the lip around the edges where if you were to drop it 100% flat on the ground then the sides the glass won't get hit but it provides zero protection for the screen otherwise. That's why I recommend this specific case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. (If you don't like this one my next recommendation is called unicorn beetle. Search that on Amazon.)---------‐--‐------------------------------------------------Update: November 16th, 2020I was answering some of those questions that have no answers yet on the Amazon's selling page for this case and came across someone answering a question about storing the s-pen and the person answered with saying that the hard case you can use as a kick stand has a little snap in spot where the kick stand pops up.  I remember seeing that spot before but it didn't seem like it was meant for the s-pen. Turns out it is thoughl! You have to turn your s-pen sideways and give it a little firm push and it snaps right in!  I looked back at the advertisement and took a closer look at the pictures. To my surprise, the pictures actually do show the s-pen snapped in! But looking at the pictures, that feature is not something that stands out. They should have photoshopped the picture more to show the s-pen that's in the background. I also checked the description and no where does it mention this. But anyway, now that I've discovered that,  I'm even more happy with this case bc I really don't like the idea of leaving the s-pen constantly on its charger.  Same idea with your phone,  wanting to avoid overcharging and the batterys life not lasting as long as it should otherwise.

TL;drGeneral:*Perfectly snug fitment.*Allows for a glass screen protector underneath the integral screen protector*Excellent fit and finish for the asking price @time of writing (≈$80.00)*Has added a level of utility to the device itself I did not anticipate*Detachable cover adds a level of versatility I had not known with any of the tablets I have owned over the years.*Should make this device both child proof and fall off of a roof from the third story resistant which only adds to the value proposition for the right buyerI preordered the T-Mobile G1 and for the uninitiated, this was the very first Android phone.I remember sometime around or after 2010 OtterBoxes started showing up on my friends devices as they got onto the smart phone bandwagon and I was always floored by the pricing and never really looked at the company's offerings over the years. Now, I get it.I purchased the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 for one very specific reason and that is because it does not have an OLED screen and not subject to screen burn in for its dedicated task which is to maintain a static screen reading out my heart rate while I work out on my elliptical and treadmill. Essentially, it's a throwaway device to me so when I was cruising through the Vine available products and saw an Otterbox for my exercising tablet I initially scrolled on by as I already had a silicone case and glass screen protector on it but I decided to request it anyway. An addendum to the TL;dr is that the detachable cover’s fool-proof but versatile uses has made my tablet much more than a single use device for me. That it securely holds the tablet in portrait and landscape mode has had me using it much more around the house and out and about than I ever intended. There has been minimal damage to the case and none to the device having been thrown in the backpack, trunk or the back seat before everything else gets loaded up. I carry it with confidence anywhere I *might need* a tablet for any reason and in turn I have found myself carrying it more and more.Initially when rating this I gave it five stars across the board: Overall, Durability, Value for the Money, Easy to Hold. ≈$80 is a lot of loot for a device I spent $179.99 on so for that reason and that reason alone I reduced it to 4 stars on the value. The reason being is that for my use case and despite the novel-to-me functionality it has brought in addition to the supremely robust level of protection it provides and for a parent who does not want to have device after device destroyed from standard child abuse of electronics it is a lot of money for such a cheap device. It will keep the Tab A in physically great form well longer than the device will be useful from either driving electronic obsolescence or battery failure. It adds value to the device itself in its simple, fast, and easy stand functions. You will probably find yourself using the Tab A or any device you might shod with an Otterbox Defender case because the concern of breakage is effectively rendered null and void by the nature of the excellent design. Whether or not this is the case for you in this application I recommend Otterbox Defender class cases because at the end of the day you are getting what you paid for. They have made me both a believer and a customer for all of my mobile device needs going forward.

The OtterBox is a very sturdy case designed with several layers of protection. There is a hard shell that the tablet sits in that is then wrapped in a silicon rubber section and finished with a hard-plastic framed screen that snaps on top of the multilayered case. In addition to these layers, the OtterBox also has a hard-plastic cover with reinforced corners that snap over the multilayered case for additional case protection and transport. The cover can also be used as a base to support the protected tablet for tabletop reading or YouTube viewing. Assembly instructions are included in the box. This black case is for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" 2019 version. The Galaxy tablet version specification was a little confusing to me. I just bought my Galaxy Tab A 10.1” tablet a few weeks ago and intuitively thought it to be a 2020 version. After comparing the buttons, ports, and camera locations of my Galaxy Tab A to the case cutouts, I now know that it is a 2019 version that is the case that would fit it. This was further confirmed by checking the Samsung Galaxy website. There was no newer Galaxy 10.1” tablet listed on their site; the 2019 model T510 is the latest version. The dual-use case cover has slightly raised rubber feet so that the tablet, when mounted on the cover in portrait or landscape orientation, is stabilized on a tabletop. It has a pop-up scissor tablet support and attaches to the case in three ways; over the face as a cover, snapped onto the back for storage when using the tablet, or laying on a table with the tablet propped up in it for use as a monitor. The screen protector is a thick hard clear plastic; it’s several times thicker than the cell phone screen protectors I’ve used in the past. It snaps onto the pliable plastic tablet case, the first protection layer described earlier that goes on the tablet before the silicon protective wrap is put on. The screen protector’s thickness does not impede the tablet’s use as fingertip tablet navigation was just as fast as it was without the screen protection cover. There was no view screen distortion from the added clear plastic screen protective layer. All tablet buttons are accessible with this case, although I did have to push the rubber covered volume and on/off buttons harder to get them to function. There are small rubber case flaps that must be opened to access the charging and earphone connection ports. These were most likely designed into the case as a tablet water damage protection feature. There is no covering over the tablet’s speakers leaving the tablet’s sound unimpeded. Other than the speakers, the only other unprotected opening on the encased tablet is the microphone port. This case is the best of the best in Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1” protection. I have an OtterBox case on my cell phone that has resulted in it surviving several three-foot drops on my driveway so I know this works. If your primary need for a case is tablet protection, the OtterBox case is the best tablet protector that you’ll find.

When the iPad Mini 5 first came out there weren't really any cases that i liked but there were plenty that would satisfy the "This will do for now" category. A little after a year i finally came across this case. This was exactly what i was looking for. It allows the color of the iPad to show thru it and it is offers protection from scratches and minor bumps and dings. It also allows for the pencil to be held as well with the case. The pencil holder works fine, but i noticed it does sit lower when the pencil is attached. This makes it to where the iPad doesn't sit flat on the surface with the pencil attached (however it is very close to, See picture as it is slightly raised)I feel over time this will stretch out and then be just fine. After all, it is a new case and needs time to settle i feel. The back is also slick and does not relly grip any surfaces - which means if set on an uneven surface it can slide. (I dont have this issues, so i cannot knock it for that, but wanted to point that out...)For the Pro(s):Protects the back beautifully against scratches, bumps and DingsAllows the color of the iPad to show thru - We dont buy gold for nothing right???Allows for the apple smart cover to still be used.Holds the apple pencil securelyThe Con(s): - Not overly back thoughA little slick on the bottom and can slide on uneven surfaceWhen new, the pencil sets a little lower than the iPad bottom (But i feel this will change as it breaks in)If your are NOT using this with a smart cover there is a little insert that you will want to have on the case before you put the iPad Mini in it. This may see loose, but once the iPad is in the case it becomes solid. Loved the fact that i can choose to use this with a smart cover or not. well Done!Overall i really like it and it is exactly what i was looking for. The right amount of protection and functionality without being overly thick and cumbersome. For anyone using this with a Twelve South Deluxe Stand it will also work and still be able to charger, but you will need to use the middle insert for the deluxe stand in order to give it a little more plug depth. Absolutely perfect. (See the second to last image of it on that stand)Hope you found this review helpful, I would definitely recommend this for any iPad Mini 5 users.P.s. It will fit a mini 4 but the buttons and mic alignments will be off (Wouldn't recommend this for iPad Mini 4, but instead would recommend the iPad mini 4 version for the older iPad Mini 4)

I really love this case. I found a Bluetooth keyboard for it that folds in half and I have all of my textbooks on my iPad in E-book format. I use it for my notes and I use it to play games. I use it ever single day for college. I was going to get a laptop case, but after spending 110 to fix my iPad screen i wanted to make sure that I never had to pay another penny for it again. For me, this case is an investment for something that will be useful to me long term. I think that with this case, I will never have to fix it again unless somebody’s takes it and tries to ram it against their knee. It certainly wont break when I drop it. ANYWAYS, enough raving.Let’s get to the pros and cons.Pro’s:-Has a stand that also has multiple positions. It’s portable and the iPad can be used with or without it, without having to detach the case. I had a simple blue and unproductive folio case and i like this much better due to being able to have it in multiple positions and know my iPad is protected.-has raised edges on all sides so that if it lands face down, it won’t be the floor itself that breaks the screen-the rubber around the case really seems to be able to handle impactCons:-I think it would be nice to have some sort of handle on the iPad, which I may have to purchase separately. With the stand attached, its a little more slick than if I just had the otterbox alone.-you trade sleekness for functionality, but I personally dont mind. It makes me feel secure knowing my 400$ electronic is protected.- I personally hate cases that come with pre-attached screen protectors and so I removed mine and placed a glass screen protector on the iPad itself. This prevents anything from being caught underneath the screen protector which would bug me. It also means that you wont need to take the case apart to clean underneath the screen protector. For me, this case is strictly to protect my iPad from shattering once again. iPad charges 250$ to fix screens and that seemed absurd to me. I fixed it through my local computer guy and bought protection with a keyboard for less than 250$. I wish i had done so sooner and saved the money in the first place, but theres no point in crying about spilt milk. This case is worth every penny, even with the extra work of removing the screen protector.

This Otterbox case was purchased to protect an iPad for use by children in an educational environment. It comes in two parts - a sturdy case that encloses the iPad, and a separate 'lid' that also acts as a stand for the encased iPad. The main case is made of a soft-feel rigid plastic and includes a plastic shield to protect the iPad screen while still allowing touchscreen functions (with finger or soft-tip stylus pen) and access to the main control button. The lid is of hard plastic and clips over the front of the case for storage, but also includes an internal hinged stand against which the iPad can be propped in use. Unfortunately the stand is not adjustable; it allows only two possible angles for viewing the screen, one of which is almost perpendicular. Propped up on the stand in portrait orientation the iPad feels rather unstable. All buttons on the encased iPad work correctly but can feel a bit stiff. There are cut-outs for front and rear cameras, mics and speakers. Although the Lightning port has an integral cover, the various cut-outs could allow dirt or water to enter the case, so this is not a waterproof solution.Assembling the main 2-part iPad case is relatively straightforward if instructions are followed carefully, but it can be quite a fiddly process. Opening the case to extract the iPad is equally fiddly. So I would not recommended this for anyone who needs to remove the iPad from this case frequently. However, the iPad can be re-charged without removing it from the case. The Otterbox case does add significant weight to the iPad when using it as a hand-held tablet. The stand in the lid is useful but limited and is perhaps one of the weakest features of the case from a usability aspect. On the whole the case seems very robust and should protect an iPad from all but extremely rough handling, though it probably wouldn't meet industrial-grade requirements.

I have to supply my own iPad, so I did not do any drop tests to verify, but this is my third Defender for an iPad, and I remain confident in the protection ability on this one as with its predecessors. But there is a price for this—It is heavy, compared to the device it is protecting, and MUCH bulkier, especially with the gigantic snap-on cover installed. I have used this around the house for a couple of days, and frankly I can’t wait to get it off my tablet! The reason I love my iPad mini is because it is incredibly light and easy to hold even with one hand. This case nullifies that advantage. Unless for some reason I absolutely had to use an iPad mini (instead of a larger model)in a very hazardous environment, I would prefer to use a regular sized iPad and put a Defender case on it. It would be larger and heavier than this combination of course, but I don’t think that it would really be a noticeable difference.I always feel I’m having a dramatic moment when I try to put a Defender case on an iPad and this time was no exception. But putting the case on is not that difficult if you discard the vague instructions given and watch a couple of YouTube videos. It is much too difficult to repeatedly install and remove this case. But for putting it on and leaving it on until you’re ready to get rid of the iPad the installation isn’t bad. Removing the snap on cover isn’t easy, and that is a more serious criticism I think. This may be deliberate since they want the cover to stay on and not fly away when the iPad is dropped and the cover is needed. With all that said, this is a highly protective case, and it is the thing to have if you want maximum protection for your Mini 5, and don’t care about weight and bulk.

I recently purchased a new tablet - the Samsung Tab A 10.1 (2019). I also bought a case for it, but what arrived was a piece of junk, so I sent it back. I frantically began to look for another, but everything I saw looked like more junk. Then, I was browsing through Amazon's Vine Listing and I came upon the Otterbox Defender for Samsung Tab A 10.1. Wow! I know Otterbox well as I have used their covers for several cell phones over the years. Of all the merchandise I buy from all the on-line vendors I deal with, Otterbox is on the short list of companies that I trust above the others. In fact, I trust Ottorbox so much that when I saw the listing for this product I knew I had solved my dilemma, even before I ordered it.The Otterbox arrived today and I couldn't wait to wrap it around my new tablet. Now, one thing about Otterbox is that they are so solid that it can be a challenge to put them together. I followed the instructions and got to step two and I was stymied. However, there are Youtube instruction videos for everything these days and, after a Google search, I was quickly able to get the ball rolling.I now have the Otterbox securely fastened around my Samsung Tab A and it could not be more solid or secure. If I drop my tablet, I know that it will almost definitely survive any clumsy accident that I may have. The Ottorbox comes with a separate stand to hold your tablet up for typing or viewing. But I won't use it much with the stand.Ottorbox is on the high-end price-wise, but as my mother always said, you only get what you pay for. Ottorbox is definitely worth the posted price for this item and I recommend it very highly. Five Stars.

I’ve had the defender series cases on my devices for as long as I can remember... all the way back to the iPhone 5 days.So when I got my new iPad Pro 11”, I bought a defender case the same day.I’m overall very pleased with it. It’s a sturdy case, and feels well protected. I always peel out the integrated screen protector (plastic) and instead fit a glass screen protector and clip the device into the case as normal. I find this works better and doesn’t allow dirt to build up over time between the device and the plastic screen protector. My only complaint with this case though is that there is a flap for the Apple Pencil to be able to attach to the side of the iPad - and it does do that job.BUT - you can close the flap with the pencil attached. What were Otterbox thinking?! I know you can use the large plastic tray that comes with the case to clip the Apple Pencil into, but that’s something in NEVER use - they’re just too cumbersome. So instead, I’d thought the Apple Pencil would sit in its little charging bay on the side of the iPad, and I’d be able to pull the flap back over to cover it and it all look nice and neat. Well, no. It just kind of sits there looking like you’ve forgotten to put the outer rubber part of the case on properly.Aside from that, it’s a great case, no question. Just don’t get one if you use the Apple Pencil. Also, the plastic screen protector is a bit naff - come on Otterbox, just make it “screenless” like you did with the iPhone XR case and others.

I have purchased OtterBox products for many of my handheld devices throughout the years and have been very pleased. When I remove the covers all of my devices look like new. Even though I have dropped my phones or IPad, I was always relieved that my devices never broke because they were protected in the OtterBox case. I recently purchased the IPad Air 3. After reading some of the negative reviews I was hesitant to buy the Otterbox Defender for my new IPad Air. But since I have had great success using Defender cases on my other purchases, I decided to take my chances and buy the OtterBox Defender for my IPad Air 3 as well. There were reviews stating that their new IPad Pro or Air broke while putting it in the OtterBox case. That was not my experience. My Ipad Air 3 fit perfectly inside the Otterbox Defender case. Many have complained about the screensaver on the Defender case. There again I have never had any issues with the screensaver. I owned my other IPad for years and it still has no scratches on the screensaver. The screensaver is very responsive - no issues with that. Also the fingerprint ID works great. I think screensaver vs no screensaver is a matter of personal preference. This is a very sturdy case. My only disappointment is they only offer the case in black. I wish they would offer more color choices. One last thing... if you have difficulty figuring out how to open the case, OtterBox has a tutorial which was very helpful to me. I would recommend this case.

Loving the case so far. It's sturdy, I feel like my investment is protected very well. I love that the case and the outer shell snaps together into this fortress of safety for my iPad. I almost feel like it's protected like those industrial laptops you see being used at construction sites when it's all snapped together. It's a bonus that the inside of the case has an attempt at a stand for the iPad. The instructions included with the packaging denotes that it has 4 heights to hold up the iPad. There are only 2, extremely high or very low. There's no happy medium. But honestly, with everything else this does, I'm not too upset. If that could be improved in future editions of this case, then there really is no other reason to buy another case for your iPad than this one.One thing that I was hoping it would do was hold the pen inside as well when it's all snapped together. The pen will fit in the space between the cover and the case, but it will roll around, so I never do it. With the pen's nib exposed, I'm just afraid it will get torn up banging around inside the cover while placed on the case. If there was a place to snap the pen in, or a slot to stick it safely, this would be perfect. So it was only placed inside once. Since then I've bought a little Apple Pencil holder that wraps around the Otterbox case with elastic. They work perfect together. What more do you need to know? It's a great case! Add it to your cart now!

I have been using the Otterbox Defender Case on my Samsung tablet for several months. It made the trip with me several times a week to my mother's hospice facility and I felt confident that my tablet was safe. The case totally encloses the tablet and most openings are covered with a moveable tab. The cover is not 100% waterproof but I believe it would be adequate protection from minimal exposure to liquids such as rain or a small spill. I like how the detachable front cover can be used as an easel to hold the tablet at a slant for typing or reading in landscape mode. It was a bit less than adequate when used for portrait mode but it can be used in that position.I would prefer a few more choices of position for the easel but continue to use it as it is.It may be just this user but I find most OtterBox covers to be somewhat difficult to install and remove. But with some persistence, I was able to apply it in a few minutes once I figured out how it snapped together. I am sure that fastener method adds to its protective properties. The snap on extra cover adds an additional layer of protection and I feel confident that if I drop my tablet it will remain unscathed. It is just a tad heavy for holding long periods of time and the clear screen cover occasionally interferes with the touch action. All-in-all minor annoyances when it comes to protecting an expensive tablet.

My 13 year old son has a 5th generation iPad that he is constantly toting around and traveling with. His first thought as we took this out of the box was that it was heavy, and then we had some initial trouble getting the three-part assembly apart. Once we figured out the approach - removing the silicone protective cover and then clicking several plastic tabs around the perimeter to get the top of the case off the bottom - it took us only a few minutes to install the iPad into the case. The case incorporates a screen protector and cover for the home switch. Once installed, the entire assembly works well and the screen protector does not cause any difficulties in iPad operations; the home switch works correctly in terms of fingerprint detection. My son decided the overall protection is worth the added weight and has left the case in place. As a bonus, the case has a plastic cover which can be left behind if the added protection is unnecessary or can be removed and used as a stand (there are several different positions in which it can be used, including a couple which are perfect for typing directly onto the pad or holding it up in front of a keyboard). Overall, he likes it for the protection the case offers and I like it because it reduces the possibility of having to replace the iPad before its time.

Reasons I love this case:1. Excellent protection all around.2. Very comfortable feel holding the case and slightly grippy but not too much. Not at all slippery.3. Built in screen protector works excellent! I was hesitant to buy this case mostly because of the built in screen protector. I was afraid it would diminish the beautiful iPad Pro screen and introduce glare. Well I can't notice it. No bubbles, no rainbows, etc. It does add a little more glare when a light source is reflecting off at just the right angle but not much at all.4. The Apple pencil works perfectly. No lag, delay, nada. Another plus to the built in screen protector is that it adds just slightly more friction when using the Apple pencil. This actually makes the Apple pencil much more accurate and easier to use. No sliding around.5. Fit and finish are perfect. Fits like a glove and looks very good.6. Love the hard screen protector. I leave this off most of the time while in the house. I leave it in my backpack and put it on when traveling with my iPad Pro. It also snaps into the back of the case so you can have just one unit. ONLY downside to this is that it will block the camera.Cons: Really none except the hard screen cover does not have a camera peephole. Not a deal breaker. Case is Awesome.

The Otterbox Symmetry cover arrived in a box with a slide out inner box containing the cover. It looks and feels robust with a clear (though yellowy tinged) rubber edging with a removable side edge that slides off to fit my iPad Pro Smart Keyboard, this for me was important as other covers need to be taken off every time i want to use my keyboard, yet the keyboard does not offer any protection on my iPad Air, so this Otterbox cover seemed ideal.I will say it took me ages to get it fitted onto my iPad as its so tight fitting, which is a good thing but a pain to initially do. I followed the basic picture instructions but in the end i found it easier to put the closed side in first.Once on it was very easy to attach my keyboard and it sits nicely with it. The pen holder, though elastic, is neat and does the job fine of holding my pen (not an Apple one) My only grumble is the the aesthetics of the rubber trim looking off colour, making it look older than it is (this doesn’t show up in my photos), other than that its well made and fits my iPad perfectly. It’s a bit pricey but it does feel like it will last, and i have certainly invested in many covers over the years that fall apart often within a year, this one feels stronger yet reasonably lightweight.
