This is a great addition to your 10th generation 2018 Kindle Paperwhite.I quite like using my Kindle without a cover, I love how light it feels in the hand but I also worry that while it’s sat around someone might knock onto the floor and damage it. This case case only adds around 120 grams in weight, it makes the Kindle much nicer to hold with the added benefit of having a cover so it doesn’t get scratched up in your bag or pocket.The cover has magnets in so your kindle automatically turns on as you open the cover and takes you straight back to where you left off.The Amazon description says “Genuine Leather” I’m not so sure. It has a nice texture to it but doesn’t smell of, or feel like,

Having had to replace my Kindle keyboard edition for the new paperwhite I decided to buy a leather cover. On receipt I am bound to say I was really disappointed. Compared with the leather on the old cover this seemed like hard plastic rather than nice soft leather. I attached the kindle but immediately sent off for one of the fabric covers to be able to swap them as and when I felt like it. Having now had the leather cover for a while I love it. It feels good, is lightweight and sturdy. It also acts as a power on/off mechanism brilliantly. The only reason for not giving five stars is, although it is such a great addition to the kindle, it comes at a cost. £34.99 is really expensive.

This is a plastic case with a layer of bonded leather glued to it.I did not expect this, but - given the reviews I did not know what to expect, exactly. The above is it in a nutshell.I gave it five stars because it deserves it. It is a five star plastic case with a layer of bonded leather glued to it. It feels good in the hand and will protect the kindle pretty well.It will not be like holding an old leather book, or even a leather-bound modern notebook. It will not wear like leather, I shouldn't think anyway. You can't run your fingers over it and appreciate it. It is not at all retro or vintage.I like it though. Well designed leather type case that suits the kindle design.

I wanted a nice cover for my nice new Kindle and I wanted one that was sure to fit and likely to be decent quality, so I chose this Amazon leather cover instead of buying one of the many cheaper ones that are available. I am pleased with it. It looks good, feels good and the Kindle fits in it securely. It also switches the Kindle on and off when the cover is opened and closed. I paid £34.99 for it, which I think is way more than a reasonable price for what it is, but it's a good thing to have if you are prepared to pay that much extra.

I like to have a physical book not an electronic gadget. Having said that, with the Libraries closed as part of the 'Lockdown' and me reading several books a week, this worked out a lot cheaper than buying books, especially if you restrict yourself (or try to) to freebies.Actually I have found that I quite like the Kindle now I've got used to it, it's certainly convenient, and as we live 6 miles from the nearest town, I don't have to go there every week just to go to the Library.

Having resisted a kindle in favour of the traditional books but I am going on a 28 night cruise and was looking at how many books I could manage to take. It was a daunting prospect. My daughter suggested a Kindle so I bit the bullet and am now wondering how I have managed for so long without. My wife no longer complains of me having the light on when I read in bed. The only downside is I am reading for much longer that I used to!

This cover is “ok”. It’s not the best. It is very thin and hard and does secure my Kindle well. However, after reading and holding it for a few hours my fingers get sore. It is definitely not purple. It is a dull blue. I should have bought the shade one which would have been softer to hold, I think. This one, however, is nice and thin so carries well when travelling.

I like this cover, seems durable enough for the price. I can't really comment on how it feels compared to previous generation covers as this is the first one I've bought. But for what it is, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I guess it could be 5£ or 10£ cheaper but I'd wager a guess this is definitely a better choice than the fabric cover.

My wife bought me this for Christmas as she noticed i’ve been reviewing them. I’m really pleased with it and the leather cover in the twilight blue to match. It’s lightweight, clear to read and waterproof (just in case it lands up in a pool on holiday). I’ve now ordered Bluetooth earphones to go with it. So pleased with it.

My second paperwhite- it was advertised as lighter to hold, hence the purchase. Happy with it in all respects except I don’t find that the battery life lasts any longer than the previous paperwhite and takes longer to charge. It’s really light and compact and easy to slip in your pocket and carry anywhere.

I always prefer the official amazon cases as their fit is always superb. Mine is definitely leather. Fits perfectly and feels lovely. My only gripe is it’s not as indigo as I’d like it to be. The review says I bought black but I didn’t I bought ‘not so’ indigo ‘more’ blue (official colour indigo blue).

Lost my kindle in an airport and immediately had to order a new one. Love that this is now waterproof (ish). One annoyance is that the light levels that comes on when you start are independent of your previous setting and much brighter than previous models. This is only an annoyance in a dark room.

Been considering buying one for a while. My son finally persuaded me me to get one after eye operation which had complications. It is great,made print size I was comfortable with,just great. Now just pop it into my bag when off to appointments etc. Highly recommend.

It's a very sturdy robust protective case, yet comes at a cost. The cost being its blooming heavy! Like holding a really thick hardback book for a while, makes the kindle much to heavy. But, it does the job of protecting the kindle VERY well

Well made but it does look and feels like plastic.Fits well, turns the kindle on/off as you open and closeBought the indigo purple but it’s really blue in colour, certainly not purple.I do like it and it feels it will last a lifetime.
