The Aero 15 OLED is a very impressive machine, the design revamp truly has elevated this laptop as one of the sleekest machines on the market. The build quality is excellent no flex in the chassis at all & the materials are good. In pictures it looks plasticky but far from it this is a very solid machine on par if not better than the Razer Blade 15. Though the hinge design does cause the screen to wobble.Talking about the screen the OLED panel is excellent. Vibrant, colourful it's the best panel on the market. You do need to ask yourself though do you really need a 4K OLED panel? If you watch a ton of videos and are a content creator yourself then yes but for everyone else the 1080p screen would probably be enough. To be honest 4k panels at this size seems like overkill. A 1440p OLED with a 144hz refresh rate, now that would be perfect. The Keyboard and Trackpad. This is where I struggled a bit now coming from the Mac world the trackpad obviously isn't on the level of the Macbook. However with some tweaking I did manage to find a sweet spot and it worked very well. The fingerprint reader is also handy to have.It not being centred did at times make it difficult to use especially on my lap. Even though I'm left handed I still found it odd. The keyboard feels nice but I wish they ditched the number pad. It being there not only shifts the keyboard to the left but the keys are slightly smaller. I also found myself hitting the up arrow instead of the right shift key due to the shift key being smaller. The general feel of the keyboard is excellent if you are used to the number pad then you will love the keyboard. I just couldn't get used to it myself. The secondary function keys not being backlit is so disappointing though. You have to dive into the RGB settings and light up certain keys to a different colour but at this price point those keys should be lighting up like a Christmas tree.Performance is excellent especially for gaming. The 1660ti really impressed me it ran games like Gears 5, Outer Worlds and Red Dead Redemption 2 quite comfortably on high settings. The fans do ramp up and can get quite loud but temps were better than what you would get on the previous Aero models. It did thermal throttle at first but with a undervolt that was solved to. Gigabyte's Control Center software is incredibly laggy though. This is where you control the RGB lighting, the fan profiles and update drivers. It's just so damn slow to use so it will take some time just to adjust the fans to get the right one for you.Battery life is excellent probably the best battery on a laptop this powerful. I got 5-6 hours easily just browsing the web, watching videos, doing a bit of work. Obviously if you do more demanding tasks It won't last as long but 5-6 hours is very impressive for a machine with such a bright OLED screen. My gripes came with the Wifi performance. Close to my router I would get plenty of disconnects. Move further away as in the next room and I got barely any connection at all which was very disappointing considering my 10 year old MacBook Pro was connecting fine from the same distances. The Killer WiFi card it uses quite frankly sucks, updating drivers, fresh install etc etc none of it worked. It was so poor and yes I know you can swap it out for an intel card but such a pricey machine should be performing in all areas out of the box.My device also had a corrupt SSD which isn't nice. It wasn't that fast either I was getting 1400MBs read and write which is rather slow compared to the SSD's similar laptops ship with. I had to return my device due to the SSD acting up.

Extended quarantine and work from home gave me an excuse to replace my 2 year-old ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 UX580GD. I was looking for a 17" laptop with great battery life, decent sound, gaming power better than my ASUS without massively loud fans and high temperatures. After some extensive research on the Net comparing with other 'gaming' laptops from ASUS or Alienware, I set my sight on the Gigabyte AERO 17 Core i9.I was unsure about putting the extra money but so far I don't regret it.First, the display. It is gorgeous! The extra 2inch really make a difference and working for long hours doesn't feel such a chore anymore. The slim bezel, bright and colorful display and 4K resolution are brilliant. The keyboard feels really smooth and natural, much better than my Assus, despite the RGB lighting that you can configure through the Gigabyte Control Center. On the performance side, it is difficult to beat: Intel Core i9-9980HK processor, 16GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU with 8GB of VRAM allows you to run the most depending applications, video viewing and editing and latest games I would assume.Battery life seems much better than my other laptops. You get all ports you need for a home office setup: Ethernet, SD card slot, USB 3.1 ports, microphone input, headphone output, HDMI 2.0, USB C/DP, Thunderbolt 3One slight fault: in order to give us this slim bezel, the webcam is at a poor angle, but I will live with that!Overall, a great laptop with impressive display.

Had this for 2 months now. Excellent product. Haven't had one problem with it. Great for casual gaming when plugged in and can last 4-5hours with medium brightness settings when out and about.Pros:-One of the best laptop keyboards I've ever used. Even fit in a num pad!-Great fan options for gaming/battery saving/quiet mode-looks slick as hell and has excellent build quality-beautiful 1080p screen with tiny bezels-the 1660ti consistently gets 30-60fps in AAA titles. Perfect for casual gaming.-ridiculously thin and portable-haven't experienced any thermal throttling at factory settings-some cool rgb keyboard modes if you're into thatCons-fans get very loud when gaming but if you're using headphonesthis shouldn't be a problem-heard from other reviews that upgrading ram can be a bit hit and miss even when using recommended compatible upgrades-webcam is not the best and is placed under the screen. If you're planning on doing alot of professional web calls maybe look elsewhere

I bought this laptop for university, as I needed a laptop that could handle gaming/work. The laptop is very powerful, light, and could handle games very well e.c.t CSGO, Overwatch and Fortnite. I am very surprised how the screen is very clear and colourful in both aspects.Opening and closing the laptop is extremely easy because of how light the entire laptop is. The keyboard is RGB, which is always nice, and its feels very good compared to the other laptops I have bought. The display is very crisp for my liking and the colour contrast is perfect. I was very impressed that this laptop had 240hz and it felt amazing but some games couldn’t reach 240fps so I couldn’t experience the full potential.GTX 1660ti is perfect for gaming at this display resolution and could handle games at max settings.A downside during gaming is that the laptop could get hot.Overall, I would recommend this laptop. It did all the job I expected, and the gaming felt amazing.

Have the 4k Model for round a few weeks now. Very impressed, it's not strictly advertised as a gaming laptop but runs everything I've tried on the highest specs. Front facing camera isn't much but it's never used, so it's not an issue in the slightest. Very quiet and portable. The 4k screen is brilliant, i was hesitant about it being glossy, but it's not a problem at all. It looks fantastic. Would highly recommend it.Several people I spoke to said it was pointless to get it in 4k on such a small screen but I chose to go with it anyway. All I can say is, when you change the settings to 1080p on the display, like most laptops, the difference is night and day ...So I would highly recommend the 4K version. That's just me though ... Hope this was useful to anyone.

I bought this with the intention of using it for some intense CAD design using SolidWorks and for the OLED screen.I have been thoroughly impressed by the performance and so far there have been no hiccups. The display is gorgeous and I can't wait for Windows to properly take advantage of HDR so I can get all the benefits from this laptop.I was pleasantly surprised by the battery life with 'office' applications resulting in a good 6 hours of usage. The only drawback is the fans can get quite loud if you want full performance out of the laptop but the fan profiles are adjustable..

Its a great laptop, super specs. Works great, not too heavy, looks ok.But there are some small design things that will annoy you subtley. Function keys (brightness, volume etc.) arent illuminated, trying to turn brightness up and down often results in you turning the wifi off :| small things like that.

My favourite thing about this laptop, other than its superior video quality, 4k thin bezel screen, and super fast gaming is its gorgeous rainbow keyboard, i love that you can change the flow of colours even to each key ! All in all the absolute best laptop i have ever owned, im in love !

Now been using this laptop for 20 days, absolutely flawless, powerful, so surprised at how thin it is. Words can't describe the display, by far the best display I've seen on a phone / laptop...really looks great. Stays very cool and would highly recommend this over others 11/10

Battery life is my only concern when not gaming, can get 2-3 hours out of it max on the battery saving settings :/
