This is a really lovely tree swing - I brought it for my daughter as we have a large mature tree with a fairly low branch in the garden and little room for a swing frame so this seemed ideal. The swing arrived and I have to say I was a little confused because it seemed to be a long rope with a swing in the middle. After realizing that you had to fix one end of the rope back on to itself at the seat end - which ones done I have to say I felt like a pillock for not realizing this at first as when you think about it it makes sense that you can adjust the length of the ropes to adjust the height of the seat or even make one side higher than the other so that the seat sits straight as the tree branch certainly isn't straight on our tree!I wrapped the rope round the branch and through the oval metal hoop so that there is a loop sticking out one side then closed the little gate behind it. this secured the swing rope round the tree in a really simple and easy way.The seat is a nice size and because it is pine and not some gaudy plastic thing it looks just lovely in the garden. a discrete way to have a child's swing in the garden without the intrusion of all that plastic and rubbish that is so common on swing seats.I haven't taken this down at all though I am sure it would be easy enough to take down and store away if you wanted to and it seems to be holding up against the worst the British winter can throw at it.This is a really lovely swing and if you have a nice strong mature tree then I would highly recommend this for your garden. My little girl just loves it and so do all her friends!

This is excellent Fun for all the Family. Not the heaviest and most lasting quality - but then, the price reflects this! We are a family of well built adult Vegetarians. Our Apple Tree branch is about 9 - 10 feet in height and this fits well and allows the swing to hang down nice and low. The fitting of the rope is important. The rope should be wound around the Tree limb(maybe twice) and then bought back down and the metal loop re-attached to the hanging rope on each side. The metal loop on each side will be approximately one third to half way down the length of each hanging rope. If you try and make each rope double down both sides - it will be too short - and the swing will hang too high to get upon it.(I think, the photos of the product make the fitting confusing - as did another person who reviewed this swing). Hopefully it will last a good long time. Have Fun!

Beautiful & functional tree swing!Absolutely love this swing, so does my two & a half year old.Thought my husband would have to climb the tree to put it up... instead he threw the rope over the branch, no climbing needed. The whole process only took 30 mins or so - very straight forward, it's well designed. The swing is stable and so far copes with rain well. It's just a beautiful, functional swing which our toddler is thrilled with. Unlike most I saw, it actually makes our garden look prettier instead of being an eye sore to tolerate. The extra long ropes were very useful - our tree is tall.Highly recommend this. But will come back and edit if it falls apart 6 months down the line!

It's a really nice well made swing, sturdy, and the ropes are good quality, nice to get hold of. Couldn't give this five stars as I got the wrong product in the box - the company make a similar swing but with different fixings on the ropes to attach it to hooks on a frame i.e. not for fixing to a tree. Though the bag was labelled "Tree Swing" and the instructions were for "Tree Swing", it wasn't. As the swing was needed for an imminent grandchild visit I managed to adapt the set up and make it work OK. But I thought it worth mentioning just in case it happens to you, the sensible thing would be to return it for an exchange and use the correct fittings.

This swing is good value and well built (so far), but the item pictured is not what I was sent. The buckle and rope layout is, and the instructions were useless. Basically just had to eventually figure it out myself, which wasn't terribly hard, but frustrating nonetheless. If you get the version with buckles at each end of each rope (four total), then you will need to run the rope back through one buckle down close to the seat (in the pictures on Amazon and elsewhere this connection is already done with a rubber crimp), and then throw the other end buckle over the limb and back down to connect to the rope under the tree limb.

Our garden is fairly big, but there was no room whatsoever for a traditional swing/frame. Our old apple tree had the perfect branch, and this swing is excellent - just the job. Very easy on the eye, unlike frame swings. A bit of a head-scratcher once out of the box (took me a while to figure out - then had a lightbulb moment and bingo!) Nice sturdy ropes and wooden seat. Will probably be best to take it down over winter months and re-hang it next year to keep it in good condition. Kids love it. Would recommend.

The swing is great but different to what was pictured with different fixings. Instructions were useless and didn't help at all. I was replacing an old swing so already had metal hooks attached to my tree branch. All I did was hook the two metal fixings onto the hooks and it works fine as an adult swing, although would be too high for a child to use as the ropes are not very long. Definitely wouldn't be long enough to wrap around the branch as in the photo. Overall I am pleased with the swing.

I was searching for a natural-looking garden swing to hang from our large apple tree in the garden. I didn't want anything plastic or brightly coloured, as I wanted it to blend in the general landscape. This was just what I was looking for - although it took a long time to find searching on Google. It has a wooden seat with adjustable fibre ropes that are long enough to reach tree boughs and still be adjusted to a low seat height for a 3yr old child.

Superb. I wanted a swing I could hang from a tree and chose this one because of the length of the rope. It was absolutely the right choice. The instructions don't immediately make sense but with a bit of common sense it was up. The two sets of gates make it really easy to adjust the height without having to clamber up and down. Now it has a lovely graceful arc and it looks so at one with the garden. Love it.

This was really well priced and looks really nice hanging under our cheery tree. It is quite high for our children to climb into but needs to be wrapped around the tree for secureness and our tree branch is fairly low down you you may need to consider some extending straps if your branch is high up. We’ve had it six months now through winter and spring and it’s weathered really well so far.

Fantastic addition to my garden, absolutely love it :) Simple to put up and adjust and looks superb. The seat is made of pine so I knew I would have to weatherproof it first. I treated it with yacht varnish and, as I imagine it won't get as wet as a yacht, I anticipate years of pleasure. Such a relaxing pastime in the dappled sunlight under the tree it can't help but make you smile.

I bought this swing to put in my garden for my 2 grandchildren aged 2 and 4. Its perfect for them. The younger one usually has an enclosed swing so I was rather nervous - but I need not have been. Its easily adjusted (as it hangs from a tree branch which may not be straight) and I am leaving it out. Its solid and plain so esthetically it looks good. An all round good buy!

More importantly - my daughter loves it! Easy to set up and of obvious quality. My only concern has been the grooves it's scoring into the branch of the apple tree. I've covered the rope with plastic hosing to protect the tree a bit, but I'm thinking I may have to fit a protective wooden fascia so that the branch isn't scarred or I suppose, sawn through over time.

Easy to install, well made and operates after 2 months of child battering as though it were new. I was intending to make my own swing, but I couldn't buy the component parts any cheaper than this (nearly fell out of the tree fitting it mind). My children adore the swing, its weathering well in Gloucestershire rain, so iy gets my vote.

My granddaughter really loves the swing. It has been attached to bow of a horse chestnut tree at the bottom of the garden. The swing is very easy to attach to the bow, plus you can adjust the height that is required for an individual child. Making it very safe for a child to play on. Very happy with the product.
